The Glaize Clan's Crisis

While Shui was still inside the trial and the Heaven clan had recently been destroyed, the Glaize clan was facing their enemy. This enemy was led by Kalos and also included members of the Black Dog Bandits. Even so, they weren't enough to challenge the Glaize in their own territory.

The Glaize clan built their residence on a mountain range with everlasting snow, giving them a big advantage as the defending force. Unless he had the help of the Sky Realm expert from the capital, Kalos knew that the men he had wouldn't be enough to quickly topple the Glaize clan. However, that was only assuming he hadn't already planted his seeds.

Within the Glaize clan, Kaitlyn dropped to the ground and coughed while covering her mouth. Bria's blood-covered body was also nearby, further proof of the crisis she was in. Unlike when she was in public, Kaitlyn's mesmerizing features were in full view. She looked like she belonged in a painting made for the sole purpose of spreading her beauty that could make both men and women fascinated. Her blue eyes that shined like gems, now tinged with sorrow, would break the hearts of many.

When she opened her palm, she saw black blood. Kaitlyn looked up at the one who did this to her, and asked with a weak voice, "Why did you kill her? Why did you poison me, elder sister?"

The woman she spoke to, bore some resemblance to her, but her beauty couldn't be compared to Kaitlyn's. While looking down at Kaitlyn's pitiful figure, she couldn't help but be angered by her captivating slim lips, and how her pale skin and voluptuous body still maintained a seductive atmosphere despite her nearing death. Without a word, the woman frowned and kicked Kaitlyn in her stomach. If it was before she was poisoned, this would barely be a tickle since the woman was only at the peak of Soul Realm, but her weakened body curled up like a baby from this cruel attack.

"Stop calling me that. You never treated me like your elder sister! You were always better than me and you rubbed it in my face."

The woman continued to kick her as she curled up like a ball and she took joy in seeing her like this.

'Finally!'

"How does it feel now?! How does it feel to be the one at my feet?"

Kaitlyn endured these attacks without a peep. She couldn't believe that her elder sister, the one she trusted the most in the entire world betrayed her. After losing her kin in the ancestral lands because of traitors, Kaitlyn carried out a purge and got rid of almost half of the elders and their families. Even if it meant being weakened, she wouldn't stand her clan harboring traitors.

Many of the loyal elders had hinted that she should also investigate her elder sister, but even when her logical side agreed, her emotional side told them to shut up. Rather than those loyal to her, she wanted to believe her, the last member of her immediate family. However, she was proven wrong.

With both sides only sending out forces below Earth Realm, the Glaize clan had the advantage. After all, they were the strongest of the three clans for a reason. Even after teaming up with outsiders, Kalos couldn't beat them. However, with Kaitlyn being made unfit for battle, everything changed.

After she got satisfied with beating Kaitlyn, the woman grabbed her smooth black hair and pulled it up so she could see her face. Even now, rather than hate or anger, Kaitlyn's eyes were full of grief.

"Why are looking at me like that?"

Irritated by these eyes, the woman slapped her face, leaving a bright red print. But, the look in her Kaitlyn's didn't change.

"Elder sister, Kaya, why...?"

"Damn you!"

Kaya bloodied her mouth with a punch and then took out a knife. She was one moment away from plucking out her eyes with it, but she managed to restrain herself.

"Be grateful that you still have use."

Unaware that their Matriarch was in trouble, Dia and Diana dominated the battlefield. After receiving the earrings that Shui made, the two of them made great progress in their cultivation, both reaching half a step from Earth Realm. Furthermore, when fighting together they were capable of going up against an Earth Realm cultivator. With this sort of power, it was only to be expected that they were slaughtering the Clite clansmen and the bandits that came with them.

Kalos considered sending someone in the Earth Realm to take care of them, but he decided to wait for his seed to bear fruit.

"Huh?"

Because they had been fighting for so long, the twins were getting tired, but that wasn't the reason why they both blanked out and looked behind them. They saw their mistress' older sister dragging a figure towards the battlefield. Above Kaya, the elders that had been coaxed by her to join the enemy and the ones who were still loyal, were fighting with their lives on the line. The loyal group had the advantage in numbers, but reinforcements from the Clite clan group rose to the sky as well.

However, rather than the action in the sky, Dia and Diana were focused on the figure that Kaya was dragging along the ground.

"Diana, is that...?"

"I think it is."

The twins looked at each other and nodded their heads before pouncing on Kaya. She appeared to be panicked for a moment, but that changed when a white barrier blocked both of their attacks.

"Whew~, as expected of the gifts my little sister gave me. Hahahaha!"

The necklace that Kaya always wore was a defensive spirit-rank artifact. It would be difficult, but Dia and Diana believed they could break through it if they worked together since Kaya couldn't properly use it. However, Kaya was also aware of this.

"Stop right there. You don't want me to scratch this face do you?"

Kaya held up Kaitlyn's face to the twins and put a knife to her cheek. Although her limbs were covered in bruises, her face was still unharmed for the most part. It was the area Kaya wanted to damage the most, but she knew she couldn't ruin the value of the toy in her hand.

"You little-!"

"After all the Matriarch has done for, you repay her kindness with malice!"

Both sisters looked the same as anger clouded their minds. They wanted nothing more than to rip her apart, but they knew they couldn't do so with Kaitlyn in her hands.

Kaya found joy in seeing them so frustrated, but they weren't the ones she wanted to see angry.

"What are you idiots waiting for? Get them!"

It wasn't obvious who she was talking to at first, but the approaching enemies made it clear. Dia and Diana used to be unmatched on this battlefield, but with Kaitlyn becoming a hostage, they became passive and were quickly put at a disadvantage. Unable to bear the sight in front of her, Kaitlyn closed her eyes and spoke.

"Girls...don't worry about me."

"Mistress!" Dia and Diana shouted in distress.

After leaving those words, Kaitlyn had made her resolve, however, as the person who was looking at her the most, Kaya saw through her idea.

"I wouldn't do that little sister. If you stay alive, maybe Kalos will decide to spare a few of our clan once he gets a taste of your body. But if you die, he'll make sure the rest of our clan dies with you."

Part of what Kaya was true, but the real reason why she stopped Kaitlyn from committing suicide was because she wanted to torture her more.

Kaya's words made Kaitlyn hesitate, and so she had to live while the people of her clan were murdered and disgraced. Maybe she would be able to form her resolve if they were all murdered, but the sight of several of the beautiful women being captured, stopped her despite knowing what would likely happen to them. Without their leader, those loyal to the Glaize were all killed or detained.

With the Glaize clan under his control, Kalos went to find Kaitlyn. In an open room with traitors and bandits, Kaitlyn was put in the centre as Kaya anticipated her upcoming shame.

"Well well well, did you ever think this would happen my dear Kaitlyn?"

"..."

Kaitlyn glared at Kalos with enough hate to literally kill a mortal, but Kalos smiled as he approached her. Despite not receiving the teachings of the progenitor, Kaitlyn was the strongest of the three clan heads so Kalos was well aware that if he didn't employ his tricks, this battle would be his loss. But that no longer mattered.

'Finally, I have her in my hands.'

Kalos crouched and lifted her chin with his right hand. He then took out a pill and held it in front of her.

"If you take this pill, I swear to the heaven and earth that I won't kill another member of your clan."

Kalos' oath caused Kaitlyn to tremble. It was like the whisper of a devil, but she didn't think she had any way of refusing, so she listened to him.

Once Kaitlyn opened her mouth, just a tiny bit, Kalos pushed the pill through the opening. At first she felt nothing, but then her body started heating up and her vision became blurry. And in this vunerable state, Kalos stuck his tongue past her soft lips and exchanged saliva with her. Despite wanting to enjoy this delicious feeling for longer, Kalos reluctantly released her and watched as she went unconscious.

'With this, you've become my slave.'

The pill he had given her along with her weakened state, lowered her soul defences enough for him to force his soul imprint on her. Kalos picked up this prize in his arms and carried her out.

Kaya bit her bottom lip as she saw the way Kalos looked at Kaitlyn. She knew that at the moment, she wasn't as desirable as her little sister, but she swore to change that. However, she wouldn't be given that chance.

Before he left the room, Kalos gave the order.

"Do it."

Those from Kalos' group pointed their weapons at the traitors. Not only were they caught off guard, they also had a disadvantage in numbers so they were quickly dispatched.

As she endured under the power of her necklace, Kaya screamed, "Why?! You promised!!!"

If Kaitlyn had been clear-headed she would have seen the loophole in Kalos' oath. He said he wouldn't kill another member of the Glaize clan, but nothing stopped anyone else from killing them.
