Help!

Dominik came home at 11 p.m. Usually this is when his wife used to greet him with a smile on her face, but since she got out that evening, he went upstairs a little disappointed but cheerful.

"My little son! I think Nic has a fever."

His mother opened the bedroom door , holding the little boy in her arms, when the man was just about to sniff his tie.

"I'm sure his teeth are coming. Hanna said it too. Give him a little antipyretic and he'll sleep."

"Where are you keeping it?"

"Um, I have no idea, the babysitter knows." "Don't be silly, he went home by 8 o'clock. Hanna can't be reached, just in times like this... !"

She was angry as she left the room with the child in her arms.

"You can't reach her?"

Dominic asked as he followed her.

" The number can't be reached."

"Maybe her phone was discharged. I'll call her girl friend, and tell her it is time to go home now."

Dominik picked up the phone and looked up Ani's number.

"Yes?"

A sleepy female voice said.

"Hello! I'm Hanna's husband…"

"Ah, yes. How can I help you?"

"Would you give the phone to my wife? We can't find the antipyretic and the little one has a heat rise…"

" Haven't she gotten home yet?"

"What?"

"She left us 45 minutes ago… she should be home slowly. I think you should call her, if it's very urgent. "

"Unfortunately, her phone is discharged, thank you for the informatoin by the way. "

He was about to say goodbye when he was interrupted.

"That's out of the question. She spent about 1 hour charging her phone here, because she was only at 27% and she still wanted to call you from the taxi."

"What?!"

Dominik had a very bad feeling.

"Thank you, good night."

He turned off the phone.

"What happened, son?"

"Something's wrong… Hanna should be home by now, and her phone out of reach."

He explained as he sent his wife's picture among the guards.

"We need to find her right away!"

He picked up his jacket and, walking down the stairs, called Daniel!

"Call the police! Hanna is gone!"

"Immediately."

He got into his car in the company of two guards and headed for his cousins' home.

Meanwhile, I slowly woke up. Actually, my numb butt woke me from my dream. As I opened my eyes I saw the light of a flickering table lamp. There was a disgusting musty smell, and I had an adhesive tape on my mouth, and I was sitting in the corner with my hands and feet tied up.

"Ahh…"

So this is what my husband feared of, when we kept our relationship a secret for a year.

A man was sitting by the light of the lamp. He was alone and pressing his phone nervously. As I squirmed to sit in a less uncomfortable position on the cold, dusty ground, I caught his attention.

"Good morning Miss! That is,… is still at night."

It was Christopher, trying to disguise himself with a mask, but his smell and voice made him obvious.

"Don't look at me so ugly, as soon as your husband gives up his inheritance I'll let you go."

He said gently. He'd probably figured out on his own that I'm not specifically happy with the situation. I didn't particularly object because I didn't want him to be distracted from his phone. After all, today's high-tech phones can be tracked, so as long as the gadget is on, I have a chance, that Dominic will find me. The robbery itself certainly wasn't invented by this half-fool alone, because the taxi part was a real movie maneuver… but from there… I don't even have a sense of fear. Sure, I don't crave finger-cutting events, but is this man really that confidently stupid?

I looked out through a broken window, and guessed from the position of the moon, that the time might be around midnight. Knowing Dominic's connections, the police have now found the number of the taxi in the footage of the surveillance camera in front of the Levi's house. I love that neighborhood… so safe… the whole district is on camera, so wherever he started with me, the direction is easily shot… Now the only question was whether my husband would get here before I would pee myself or not.

Dominic stormed into his uncle's house with the windows shaking. He didn't even stop until Edward's study.

"What's the matter, Mr. President?"

He greeted with a smile. That gesture was enough to dispel all of Dominic's doubts.

He pulled out a pistol and held it at the man. Then Anastasia came in and begged him crying.

"Please, Edward didn't do anything! Don't do this, Nic!"

"Edward ... Huh... ?"

A half-smile sat on his face. It became clear that Christopher was not here ,and his cousin only defended the innocence of her husband… Edward sat in the swivel chair with a confident smile, his eyes not flickering at the sight of the pistol. So, he made sure his hands were definitely not muddy…

"If you dare come near my family again, I will kill you. "

The sentence left his mouth so briskly that the air in the room froze for a moment. Since he found out everything he was curious about, he put down his gun and left the house.

"Search for Christopher Menzer too!"

He gave the order as he got into the car. Then his phone shook, too.

'Resign from the presidency if you ever want to see your wife again.'

That was what the SMS said. It came from an unknown number. He tossed the phone to one of his men.

" Track down this phone."

"Indeed sir!"

It didn't take 10 minutes and the phone rang. It was the police chief. The vehicle has been identified. It was an out-of-traffic, stolen taxi that was recorded by cameras heading toward one of the periphery districts.

Unfortunately, the number of space monitors in the area was very rare, so only the police suspected they were hiding in one of the nearby warehouses.

"I understand. Thank you Sir. Can they provide a smaller search engine then?"

"Of course, 8 patrols will leave immediately!"

The police also had an interest in resolving the matter as soon as possible, as the Meridian was one of their main supporters. What's more, thanks to the message, they were no longer looked for a missing, but a kidnapped person.

However, the phone could not be traced, the kidnapper had enough sense to turn off the device immediately after writing the message. Luckily, he wasn't so smart, to not use his private phone… so the family GPS tracking system, which is secretly installed on everyone's cell phone, accurately measured the man's location in meters in exactly 32 seconds.

The police chief was right, they were really in a warehouse. Now, once upon a time, Dominik was grateful that his cousin's intellectual level rivaled that of a preschooler.

4 cars approached the building with the headlights off. Police stood at the entrances, cutting off possible escape routes.

" Situation Report!"

The police chief ordered.

"Boss! There are only two inside… a woman tied up in the corner and a man at a smaller table."

"Would you allow me to go in alone first, sir? Maybe I can discuss it with my cousin."

"It can be dangerous, sir! What if he has a gun?"

"I trust you will cover from behind."

He entered with a smile.

The most dangerous part of my kidnapping was the boring waiting... I was bored to death. I sat in the corner, trying not to think of the many spiders that woven the tons of web over my head… next to me… behind my back… when I saw the door open.

It wasn't exactly inaudible, but someone who is busy with internet poker can easily confuse these noises with the rattling of trees.

So Christopher didn't even realized, that we had company until Dominic stepped next to him.

At the light of the table lamp, I saw the cruel face I had met the first day. The difference was that I wasn't the love of his life at the time, and the attacker was a guest… so he put up with it then. But now the situation was different.

"That's why you've been screwing your whole fucking life and you're still playing poker ?!"

He shouted at Christopher. The man then noticed and jumped up in fright, but before he could do anything Dominic punched him so hard that he fell on the table, which shattered beneath him.

The cops ran into the warehouse. They looked wide-eyed at the calm man, and the kidnapper lying, while moaning in pain.

"I tried to help him get his senses back… but there are some people who can't be helped." He adjusted his suit and hurried to me.

" Are you ok my dear?"

He pulled the tape off in one move.

"Ow! "

I made a silent scream, thanks to the instant waxing.

" Of course, he didn't hurt me, and I knew you were coming… I just have to pee."

I smiled.

" Hahaha… "

He laughed. Unlike me, he may have been very upset about the situation. He freed me from the bondage of ropes and I was finally able to get up from the cold concrete. My legs were still a little numb, but I could finally head for a bush and nothing else mattered.

The Police led Christopher away and kept him in a cell, on charges of kidnapping.

A few days later, as part of a mildly corrupt trial, an express verdict was handed down, so he was sentenced in the first instance to 10 years in prison. Needless to say, after that, Dominic set up even more serious house arrest. I could forget about my free evenings, and the girly cocktails for a while too...
