Final act part I.

The Uncle's house was auctioned off to pay compensation, for the lawsuit lost to Dominic.

Edward was furious when his family was forced from a huge luxury villa into a barely 160-square-foot panel. He was already beginning to lose his rationality, his rage attacks became more aggressive and more frequent.

Therefore, Edwin's brother took Anastasia and left the country for a while under the pretext of running a foreign hotel.

He was aware that her daughter was constantly being abused by his son-in-law, but he was dying... plus he had almost no influence... so he couldn't permanently evacuate the victim from a bad marriage. He could only hoped for one thing… that Edward would make a mistake so big, that Dominic would set him aside for good. That was the only hope for his little girl.

My life was finally perfect again. My sons came to me with a smile, my husband loved me, I was full of money and my little son grew up happily too. Everything was so awesome that I was already starting to suspect. My things went too well…

The day of our second wedding anniversary has come. The boys were with their father, the grandfather and Cecilia traveled to Vienna for a business banquet. It was just the two of us, and Nic in the house.

"This is a special occasion, I book two seats in the opera, and then we could eat something delicious… I know a good restaurant."

As I fiddled in front of the mirror my husband hugged me from behind.

"All right."

I smiled. He kissed me, and went to work.

The performance began at 7 p.m.

Dominic would leave his job, while I'll leave at the same time from home. The babysitter had to work until midnight this time.

"Don't get mad, Magdika, I know you had to take a long shift this way, but I'm paying double. You can sleep here peacefully if your husband allows you to."

I felt sorry for the woman in her 50s.

'She barely sees her husband, who does a lot of work, for which even I have reduced their precious time together.'

" No problem, ma'am! It's a pleasure to take care of this little thing!"

She waved with a smile. It eased my guilt a little, so I went up to my room to get dressed. It was 5 o'clock then. The opera was half an hour from our house, but it was worth getting there earlier, I was seriously worried about whether I could finish dressing up in barely 1 hour.

Meanwhile, Edward, who was sleeping between the whiskey bottles, stinking, unshaven, received a call. The mobile awoke to vibration. He found the phone in the trash with great difficulty and put it on his ear in a half-dream. However, as soon as the other party started talking he immediately woke up. He sat up with a devilish grin on his face and thanked for the information.

I chose a burgundy suit dress with straps designed to hang just right on the edge of my shoulder, providing a huge yet restrained neckline. I took out my wild blood red lipstick, pulled out my eyes and curled my hair in soft waves.

As I examined the result in front of the mirror, I was pleased to find that, I could easily say I'm only 25 years old. As I thought about the fate of the bold lace lingerie, I laughed at myself, blushing. As I browsed through the jewelry to see what would match the outfit, I saw a smart bracelet.

"Ah… really."

I took it in my hand. After I was kidnapped, Dominic pressed it into my hand, and tied it to my soul to always wear it when I left the house…

"It would be good for him to see me wearing it."

I picked it up and looked at how well it went with my set.

"Hardly horrible."

I acknowledged, then happily stepped downstairs. Just then the babysitter came in from the yard with my little boy wiping his eyes.

"Aren't you going to bed early?"

I asked.

"The young gentleman missed the sleep after lunch, so he will probably go to bed earlier today. "

Magdika explained.

"Oh, I see."

I gave a kiss to my little boy's forehead and said goodbye. I picked up my favorite black high heels, grabbed my black bag, lined with zirconia stones, and headed for my car.

The babysitter was right. Nic ate a few bites and fell asleep right after a good hot bath.

In the meantime, I got to the opera. I picked up my ticket and since it was still 20 minutes before the piece started, I went to the buffet for a coffee. I would have just taken over my order, when someone pushed me and I fell on the floor.

The sudden pain in my ankle was only more painful, when I noticed the heel of my favorite shoe broke out. I was seriously crying inside. Although the teenage boy apologized, I was still in trouble. I got up and took out my phone.

Then the bell rang, indicating that it was only 10 minutes until the performance began.

"Don't be angry, my dear, but I'm gonna be late for the first act."

That's how Dominik picked up the phone.

"Great… then I'll go home for a new shoe."

"What?"

"Nothing, I just fell, and broke my heel.

" Buy one on the nearby promenade. "

"Ah, I'd rather run home, I don't want to deal with breaking a new shoe in, on this beautiful evening."

"All right, I'll see you on the second act."

He put it down. And I went back to the car and drove home barefoot.

There was a change of guard on the Menzer estate at 7 p.m. At that time, the defense was weaker for a few minutes, of course only the one who lived there knew that.

It was then that a figure in a black coat crept into the building through the summer kitchen. He deftly dodged the cameras as if he had an exact blueprint of the blind spots. Because after the change, the terrain handover also included a review of the interior of the villa, so the man in the black suit, in black gloves and a mask, between the two closets in the summer kitchen, waited for the new guards to take their place. When this was done the road became clear, upstairs.

" This is the room."

The old woman opened the door in front of the man with a trembling hand. Black leather shoes entered the room, in the middle of which lay the one-and-a-half-year-old boy in a crib. He slept soundly.

" Thank you, you can go now. "

He looked back over his shoulder.

She nodded and tried to get as far away from the room as possible before crying. Her first thought was the kitchen, to get a glass of water. She was so preoccupied with opening the faucet, and her own guilt that she didn't even notice the front door opening behind her.

Meanwhile, the man in the nursery admired with satisfaction the little boy taking a breath. He looked around and saw a huge pillow. Before his spiritual eyes, he saw Dominic fall to the ground and cry next to the lifeless child.

He triumphantly raised the pillow toward the child, like he was singing an ultimate lullaby, lowered it pretty slowly to the face of the rhythmically breathing baby, then suddenly squeezed it, blocking the drop of oxygen.

His pupil dilated and a wide grin on his face was evident through the mask as well, his teeth were flashing.

The child was startled and began to hoe. The small dwarf struggled for his life, but he had no chance, as he could not reach the man's strength. The monster eagerly awaited his victim's last effort, after which the tiny limbs relaxed forever, so concentrated he could barely catch up with the fact that someone had pushed him out from the crib.

Since the heel of my shoes broke and I parked in front of the entrance anyway, I walked smoothly barefoot into the house. I was so nestled that the babysitter didn't even noticed me, though she wasn't far from me in the kitchen.

I thought if I'm already here, I'll go for a good night kiss on the sleeping face of my little treasure, so I hurried upstairs as I had to get back to the opera on time.

When I arrived in front of the baby's room, I saw the dark figure with a pillow towering over my child, for a moment, the blood also stopped in my veins. I was frozen. I only realized what was happening when Nic's hands and feet began to move in the light from the hallway.
