It turned out that One did have a broken arm. Pete set it for him, though he grumbled the entire time, and still had the materials he needed to create a cast.

"I fully expect those peaches by the end of the week," he said sternly as he kicked other two out.

Frank shrugged and looked at One as he started the car. "Are you going to be able to pick peaches with a broken arm? I can't exactly climb trees anymore."

"It shouldn't be a problem. I have continued training with broken fingers and toes before. And a broken rib," he said simply. "What were you saying before about papers? Pete came back before I could ask."
