To Whom It May Concern

Alex sent all of the evidence he had gathered to Claire to function as the 8 PM check-in. She wasn't supposed to send it on to the FBI until right before the library kicked her out to give him time to escape.

Mobilizing their units would take at least a couple hours based on his experience with them—they weren't terribly organized or good at working together—so all he had to do was talk to Five right after lights out and go grab any of the younger kids willing to come with him.

That was the part he was most worried about. What if nobody wanted to come? Even worse, what if everybody wanted to come and they got caught trying to sneak out with so many people involved?

No. Alex couldn't think like that. Stressing out about it might trip him up. He needed to be in top form right now because this was the part of the plan where things could go terribly wrong.
