Why The Sudden Interest?

As much as Cody hated to admit it, he had been suffocating throughout winter break because of all the love in the air. Finn and Carmen on their own were bad enough but starting on Christmas Day Michael and Sarah had to go and get emotional on him too.

What was the point of love, anyway? He experienced basic affection for his friends to the extent that he cared about what happened to them and was willing to spend time with them but that was it.

Everyone else he associated with was a necessary evil. He didn't have outsider friends the way Sarah did.

Cody didn't study with anyone but Carmen and they only shared two general ed classes. He had been forced to participate in a few group projects, which had been terrible, but that was all he did with his classmates.
