Thanks For Staying With Me

Cody didn't know what he was supposed to think. No one had ever cared about his well-being like this. Karli didn't seem to care if the truth would hurt her as long as it helped him to get it out.

Was that what love was? Caring about another person so much that they would do anything for them?

It certainly seemed to apply in Alex's and Finn's cases. One was raising a child while the woman he loved was busy on her behalf. The other had gone as far as getting married—following a ridiculous outsider custom!—solely to make his loved one happy.

Cody didn't think he would ever get that far. If he didn't even know what he wanted, how could he cater himself to the wants of another? However…hadn't he been doing that to an extent already to get to the point he had with Karli?

Had this passed from an experiment to something real without him noticing? How could that even be possible?
