More Trouble Than You're Worth

If someone had told Cody even two years ago that he would someday be holding an extremely fragile baby he had helped create, he would never have believed them. Yet here he was. His life had spiraled so far out of his control it wasn't even funny.

"Help," he whispered to himself after sitting there completely motionless for an indeterminate amount of time with his tiny son on his chest.

But none came. Nobody could help him because this was his life now. A former human weapon had a wife and three children he could very easily kill by mistake if he did anything wrong.

If that happened, Karli would never forgive him. It would be easier to avoid these miniature death traps but then she would get mad at him again. He had to endure it for the sake of his marriage.
