May Strongest Skills Win

Loud whistles followed behind many thin beams of light as they rapidly rained down, striking the ground.

Boom Boom Boom Boom

[You're skill 'Adapt' has been set active]

'Perfect timing for the skill to see him as a threat.'

Left step, right step, Katsuya was steadily and quickly evading each beam as they got closer and closer. No matter how many came, his movements became more and more flawless through-out the seconds.

But the shower of attacks came to a stop as Katsuya's eyes barely managed to notice a sword swinging at him.

'Deflect.'

The palm of his hand shone red as he slapped the sword away.

'He's just as fast as I remember.'

The Demi-god took a step back as Katsuya dashed forward and swung a punch through the air, which missed.

He noticed a strike coming his way as well, one fast enough that he wouldn't be able to dodge. So, he prepared for impact, covering his chest and flexing every muscle in his body.

A firm burning blow smashed against him.

Boom.

The impact was so sudden yet so harsh as a burning sensation touched his lungs and sent his body a great distance into the air.

Fwsh.

'...damn…..'

His almost-limp body fell through the air, until his back smashed against the floor.

Bmp.

Still, this wasn't where he was going to let his fight end. He rolled over and started trying to lift himself back up as his arms were shaky. A violent and wet cough of blood spurted from his mouth, painting the floor below him red.

Finally getting on his feet, Katsuya stood hunched with his arms hanging down in weakness. His neck bent backwards as he gazed into the sky.

Only a sigh of exhaustion left his mouth before he began thinking up a chant.

'Calm the mind, Imagine Power stronger than my opponents, I will be as strong as steel.'

He was no expert on this fighting style as he had learned it from observing the ancient shadow he fought on the upper floors before. But, he knew it well enough to understand the chants' effects. Over the course of the next 30 minutes, he would take less damage from attacks and his own attacks would be increased.

[Skill: Claws - You can grow a limit of 4 claws per hand. Each claw does damage equal to 10% of your 'Atk'. Each claw also had a penetration effect, ignoring most defensive skills and enemies 'Defense' stat.]

'For some reason, I never actually used this skill. I thought having claws would make me look weird. But, now's not the time to be picky.'

[Claws: Active]

Four long and sharp claws grew from both of his hands in an instant.

'I'll also be activating almost every skill I have.'

Katsuya immediately sprinted forward, swinging his claws at the Demi-god.

1 slash…. 100 slashes 900 slashes, 1,500 slashes.

One by one, he swung his claws left and right without stopping for a second. But, the Demi-god was blocking nearly every slash with the swing of his sword.

Slash slash slash.

The view of the battle was intense as blue lights flashed behind Katsuya's attacks. The Demi-God's dragon-like wings began flapping, lifting the being into the air. A bright flame lit around the Demi-god sword as it was held like a lance, being prepared to be thrown. Then, the beings threw it forward and the sword launched like a blast.

'Deflect.'

With ease, Katsuya knocked it aside, sending it flying behind him. The sword's entire structure was blown to bits as it hit the trees behind, causing a large explosion.

Boom!

The wings on the Demi-God's back suddenly vanished and he fell, stomping on the ground similar to a meteor.

As the harsh wind moved around Katsuya's body, he still stood un-moved.

'I guess our next movements will decide who loses this.' He thought to himself.

Still, his mind was more in the moment to be thinking strategically.

The longer Katsuya's gaze stared at the Demi-god the more he became hesitant.

'His stance is too calm. Maybe he's way stronger than what he's shown?'

A deep breath in and out, Katsuya raised his fists to prepare.

'Worrying won't save me. I guess now, I just hope for the best.'

In a single flash of a second, the two dashed towards each-other, each letting forward a single attack.
