There was darkness. The darkness contained nothing. There was no sound. There was no temperature. The darkness was empty. From beyond the darkness voices could be heard.
A voice said loudly. "Wait! Don't do it! I'll do it!"
A second voice said at an even louder volume. "Be quiet, idiot! You're gonna wake him up!"
The first voice said at an even louder volume than the second voice. "You're even louder than I am!"
The second voice said in a quieter tone than before. "Are you trying to wake him up?! Here. Just take it already."
The first voice said in a normal tone. "I don't want it."
The second voice said loudly. "The hell do you mean you don't want it?! Didn't you just say you wanted to do it?!"
The first voice said again. "I don't want it."
The second voice said angrily. "I'll do it myself then!"
A voice yelled out from deep within the darkness causing the darkness to become unsettled. "Will you two shut the hell up already! Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?!"
The two voices from beyond the darkness became silent.
The darkness began to settle again as the voice from within thought. "Wait?! People?!"
The darkness quickly disappeared.
A man sat on the ground as he looked up at two other men standing over him. One man stood to the left of the man on the ground and the other stood to the right.
The man who stood to the left had a white and red outfit. The dominant color was white and the secondary color was red. They also had a sword on their back.
The man who stood to the right had a red and black outfit. The dominant color was red and the secondary color was black. They had a sword on their back plus a knife in their left hand.
Neither of the two men moved. They remained frozen in place but kept their eyes focused on the man who was on the ground.
The man on the ground thought. "Are they assassins?" He looked back at the man who was standing to his left and analyzed the man's gear with his eyes. He then thought. "No, they're probably mercenaries."
The man who was standing to the left stared blankly at the man who was on the ground. He then raised his pointer finger into the air and pointed at the man. He turned his head to look at the man who was standing to the right and said blankly. "He's awake."
The man who was standing to the right said. "You're just now noticing that, idiot?!"
The man on the ground thought. "Now's my chance!" He quickly launched up off the ground and charged straight into the man who stood on the right. He grabbed the man with his right hand by the throat and then slammed the man's body into the wall.
The man who was pressed up against the wall attempted to break free from the hand that was clasped around his neck but did not prevail. The hand didn't move from his neck. He then used his left hand to jab his attacker with his knife.
The "attacker", the man who was originally on the ground, blocked the knife with his left hand. The knife plunged deep into the "attacker's" hand but was successfully stopped.
Blood dripped from the "attacker's" hand onto the ground. A slight pain coursed through the "attacker's" hand as the knife stayed lodged in their skin.
The "attacker" then grabbed the rest of the blade of the knife, that wasn't already lodged in his hand, with his fingers. After grabbing the rest of the blade he forced the man's hand downward and pressed their left arm against the wall preventing it from moving.
After the "attacker" pressed the man's left arm up against the wall the blade of the knife was lodged even deeper into his skin causing a more intensive pain to course throughout his hand. There were also new wounds on his hand now. One of the new wounds was the hole he had gotten from when the knife had punctured through his skin, it was deeper and wider than before. The second wound was deep cuts on the insides of his fingers. His new wounds resulted in his left hand being almost completely covered in blood. Blood constantly dripped from his left hand onto the ground forming small puddles.
The man who was pressed up against the wall was unable to break his left arm free from the "attacker". He was also beginning to lose the strength in his body as the "attacker" continued to tighten their grip on his neck.
The man who was pressed up against the wall suddenly balled up his right hand into a fist. He used the rest of his strength and launched his fist toward the "attacker's" face.
When the fist was about to hit the "attacker" it was suddenly stopped. The "attacker" had quickly let go of the man's throat and then had stopped the fist with his right hand.
The man who was pressed up against the wall looked down at the ground and coughed for a few seconds. He looked back up at the "attacker" and smirked.
The "attacker's" face became angry. He suddenly ripped the knife out of his left hand by forcing his arm backwards resulting in large amounts of blood spilling onto the ground. Afterwards he smashed his head into the man's.
The man's head flew backwards after it was hit and smacked straight into the wall. Large cracks were created in the drywall as a result.
The man could no longer stand after the impact. He fell towards the "attacker" but the "attacker" moved out of the way before they could collide. The man continued to fall until his eventual collision with the ground.
The "attacker" looked at the man who had collapsed onto the ground. The man's forehead was covered in large amounts of blood and the back of the head had blood soaked blond hair. The man did not move from his position on the ground. He remained motionless.
The "attacker" turned their attention to the other man. The man that wore the white and red outfit and was standing to the left of the "attacker's" original position.
The man put his hands up and said. "I'm not much of a fighter… so how about we call it a day?"
The "attacker" said. "Am I just supposed to believe that? Why do you have a sword then?!"
The man said. "Why wouldn't I have one? How are you supposed to survive without one?"
The "attacker" looked like he was about to say something but didn't. He remained silent.
The man said. "Is that all you had to say, Jason? Or do you still want to know more?" He smirked.
The "attacker" known as Jason narrowed his eyes and said. "How do you know that name? Who are you?"
The man said. "Huh? You don't remember me?"
Jason thought as he looked at the man. "Is this some kind of trick?"
The man said. "What is that look for? It is I, Oib!"
Jason said. "Huh? Who is Oib?"
The man sighed. "You didn't get it…"
Jason replied. "Get what?"
The man said. "Nevermind." He looked at Jason sternly. "It's me, Jack. You remember me, right?"
Jason replied. "Jack who?"
Jack frowned as he replied back. "Huh? What do you mean 'Jack who'?! You're joking, right?"
Jason asked. "Why would I be joking?"
A slight smirk appeared on Jack's face as he said. "Because I already told you."
Shock and confusion was plastered onto Jason's face. He said, "What?! What are you talking about?"
Jack said. "Huh? Did you forget already?"
Jason stood in silence as he thought. "Did I already forget?" He then suddenly blurted out. "Hey! Wait! You're screwing with me aren't you?!"
Jack laughed loudly at Jason's outburst. He bent over and his hands on his knees as he laughed. He looked like he was about to fall on the ground and die from laughing so hard.
Jason looked annoyed as he looked at Jack and said. "What's so funny?"
Jack wheezed. "I can't… I can't right now…"
Jason thought as he watched Jack laugh. "What is up with this guy?"
Jack finally stopped laughing and regained composure. "No, but seriously though. I actually am Jack." He pointed over to where the man had collapsed. "Over there is Thomas."
Jason froze. His eyes remained focused on Jack as he thought. "Did he just say 'Thomas'? It couldn't be, right? Is he really talking about the same Thomas?"
Jason said in a lifeless tone. "Who's Thomas?"
Jack frowned. He looked at Jason curiously but remained silent.
Jason made eye contact with Jack and then asked again in the same lifeless tone as before. "Who's Thomas?"
Jack sighed. "You already know the answer."
Jason broke eye contact with Jack. He smirked as he thought. "So, it really is him."
Jason turned his head. A wicked smile appeared on his face as he looked at the man on the ground and thought. "We finally meet again after all this time."
