Jason stopped walking. He turned and faced Aeolos and said with a worried expression. "Thomas? Why is Thomas here?" He grabbed the hilt of his sword with his left hand. An angry expression appeared on his face as he said. "What did you do to him?"
Aeolos put his hands up and said. "Relex there, buddy. He was brought to us like this."
Jason said while confused and angry. "Brought to you?! What the hell are you talking about?!" He tightened the grip on the hilt of his sword.
Aeolos continued to keep his hands up in the air as he said. "Twenty seven, The Devourer Slayer, came here with him."
The anger in Jason's face disappeared and was instead replaced by pure confusion. He released the hilt of his sword. His left hand fell to his side. He said to Aeolos. "The Devourer Slayer? Who is the Devourer Slayer?"
Aeolos looked dumbfounded as he said. "Wait, are you serious?"
Jason said while confused. "What do you mean?"
Aeolos looked surprised as he said. "You really don't know who the Devourer Slayer is?"
Jason retorted and said. "Am I supposed to?"
Aeolos sighed and said. "You do know who the SG is right?"
Jason said with irritation. "Obviously. Who doesn't know who he is? What does he have to do with the SG though?"
Aeolos sighed and said. "He serves under the SG. He is the SG's second in command. He is the man in charge of NYCS1."
Jason perked up after he heard Aeolos's response and said. "Wait, you said he is SG's second in command? I think I've heard that before. I think someone told me that before actually."
Aeolos sighed and said. "So you do know who he is?" He then said, "Anyways he is the reason why your friend is here. He brought him here."
Jason narrowed his eyes and said. "Why? Why would the SG's second in command bring Thomas here?"
Aeolos put his hands up in the air and said. "Look man I don't know. He just came here with him and said that a swordsman would come get him, but the swordsman would have to be shown the way. So, I went out to go find the mysterious swordsman and then I met you."
Jason placed his left hand on his chin and thought. "So he knew I would search for Thomas?" He shook his head and thought. "No that is not it. He didn't specify who would come to retrieve Thomas. He just said 'a swordsman'. Which means he probably knew Jack and I had some connection with Thomas because of all the eyes he has in this section. So, the swordsman that would have come for Thomas could have either been me or Jack. But, it still doesn't make any sense. Why would he bring Thomas here?"
He looked around at his surroundings and thought. "What is so special about this place that he would bring Thomas here? If he knew Thomas had some connection to me wouldn't it make more sense to use him as bait in order to capture me? Why would he catch and release? Is he trying to avoid confronting me? But, if that was the case why even capture Thomas to begin with? Wouldn't it make more sense to just leave him where he was and pretend I'm not even here? I don't understand his actions at all."
Jason's left hand fell to his side. He looked at Aeolos and said. "Hey boy, you said the SG's second in command said that a 'swordsman' would come for Thomas, right? Not a Slasher?"
Aeolos said angrily. "Hey you, my name is not boy! It's Aeolos! A-E-O-L-O-S!"
Jason sighed and said with annoyance. "Whatever. Just answer the question."
Aeolos said with irritation. "Call me by my name and ask a little more nicely and maybe I'll give you an answer."
Jason sighed and said. "Fine, Quick. Now answer the question."
Aeolos said with an outburst. "I said my name! Not my name's meaning!" He then said with a calmer tone. "He didn't say anything about Slashers. He only said 'a swordsman'." He then asked with an expression of curiosity on his face. "Why did you want to know that though? What difference does it make?"
Jason placed his left hand on his chin again and said. "If he specifically meant Slashers then that would mean he was talking about me. But, a swordsman implies that it could either be a human or a Slasher. Which means this could have nothing to do with me."
Aeolos said. "But, aren't you his friend... so doesn't this still involve-"
Jason cut Aeolos off and said. "Anyways would you mind watching over him for a little while longer." He turned around and said as he began walking away. "Now that I have found Thomas there is an acquaintance I have to meet up with."
Aeolos said. "Wait, aren't you going to take him with you?!"
Jason exited the room and said. "I'll come back for him." He began to walk down the stairs as he thought. "There are only two blacksmiths in this section. This one and Flame Corp's. Which means Jack is either still searching or he is-"
Jason's thoughts were interrupted as he heard someone yelling from the next room. The person yelled out. "Jason! Jason, are you here?!"
Jason thought. "That voice!" He rushed down the stairs into the room filled with weapons that he was in before. He rushed out of the room filled with weapons and rushed into the room that was divided in half by a counter. As soon as he rushed through the doorway he spotted a very familiar man.
The familiar man wore a white and red outfit. The dominant color was white and the secondary color was red. They also had a sword strapped to their back. The hilt of the sword leaned towards their right side. The man had blonde hair and light gray eyes. The man's light gray eyes immediately made eye contact with Jason's green eyes as Jason rushed through the doorway.
As soon as Jason spotted the familiar man halted himself from running any further. He looked at the man and said. "Jack?"
The familiar man, referred to as Jack, said to Jason. "Jason?"
Jason sighed and said. "Well at least now I don't have to go looking for you. But why did you come to this blacksmith? I thought we were going to meet up at the other-"
Jack cut Jason off and said to Jason with concern and worry. "That doesn't matter right now. Jason, have you found Thomas?"
Jason pointed his right thumb at the other room and said. "Yeah he is upstairs."
Jack said with unease again. "Go get him. We need to get out of here quickly."
Jason narrowed his eyes and said to Jack. "What are you talking about? Why do you want to leave so badly?"
Jack grabbed Jason from over the other counter with both of his hands. He looked at Jason with a look of pure fear on his face as he said. "Listen to me! We need to get out of this place! We need to leave before 'he' shows up! Or before 'it' shows up again!'
Jason said while confused. "He? It? What the hell are you talking about? You're not making any sense!"
Jack reeled his head back and then smashed his forehead into Jason's forehead.
Jason's head reeled back. He looked at Jack angrily as he said. "What the hell was that for? What the hell is wrong with you?" He grabbed Jack's hands that were grabbing onto his jacket and forced Jack to let go. He then threw Jack's hands backwards and made Jack stumble backwards. He then said to Jack angrily. "Why are you acting like this? What happened to you?"
Jack said with concern and worry. "We have to leave this place! We have to leave!" He rushed through the opening by the end of the counter and ran into the room filled with weapons.
Jason yelled out. "Hey! What are you doing?!"
Jack said from the other room. "Thomas! We have to get Thomas." Jack's footsteps could be heard as he dashed up the stairs.
Jason looked at the room filled with swords and thought. "What is wrong with him? Why is he acting like this? What happened to him?"
Out of the corner of his left eye he saw the door that led to the outside being opened.
A man wearing a white and red outfit walked through the door. The dominant color was white and the secondary color was red. There was a sword strapped to their back that leaned toward their right side. The man had blonde hair and light gray eyes.
Jason looked at the man with pure confusion on his face as he said. "Jack?!"
