Separation

Norv sighed with disappointment as he said. "Why would you choose silver?" He shook his head side to side as he said. "If you were going to use black for everything else then you should've used it for the mask too." He shook his head again as he said while disappointed. "I can't believe I was the one who raised you."

The figure who had Thomas on his right shoulder grabbed his silver mask with his right hand and moved it over to the right side of his head which revealed his face. He then said to Norv. "Sorry, Grandfather. I was going to use that black material you suggested but it was extremely hard to cut and way heavier than I expected."

Jason let go of his sword and his left hand fell back down by his side. He looked at the figure, Aeolos, with a bored expression and said. "Oh it is just you." He then said with surprise. "Wait, what are you doing here?! And why do you have Thomas?!"

Jack turned and faced Jason. He spoke but his voice sounded deeper than usual as he said. "Because he is coming with us of course!"

Jason had an expression of shock and surprise on his face as he said to Jack. "Huh?! What do you mean he is coming with us?! I never agreed to this!"

Jack wore armor that was both white and red. The dominant color was white and the secondary color was red. His metal boots were completely red as well as his knees, elbows, and the giant triangle in the center of his chest. The rest of his body was covered with white metallic armor. His head was covered with a white helmet which had a red visor. Strapped to his left wrist was a white watch. Strapped to his back were two swords. One sword had a light gray handle that leaned to his right side and the other had a black handle that leaned to his left side. Lastly, strapped to his right side was a white dagger.

Aeolos looked at Jason and said. "Is that you, Jason?"

Jason said to Aeolos with annoyance. "Who else would it be?"

Aeolos looked at the number engraved into Jason's chest and then stumbled backwards as he said. "Wait you're the... Slasher Slayer?!" He regained his balance and then pointed at Jason with his right pointer finger as he said. "I thought you said you didn't know what your number was!"

Jason sighed and said with annoyance. "I was lying obviously. Why would I tell another Slasher what my number is?" He then looked at the number engraved into his chest and frowned as he thought. "I'm honestly surprised I even still have this. I thought it would have been taken by now... Is there really no one strong enough below me to take it?"

Aeolos had an annoyed expression on his face as he said. "I would've been fine if you just didn't want to tell me. But, you lied to me on purpose!"

Jason said with irritation. "Of course I did." He looked at Aeolos's armor and said. "And why are you so concerned about numbers anyways? I don't see that number that you were so proud of earlier anywhere on you."

Aeolos had a confused expression on his face as he said. "What do you mean?" He grabbed the hilts of his two daggers with both of his hands and smiled proudly as he said. "My number is on both of these."

Jack spoke through his helmet and once again his voice sounded deeper than usual as he said. "Are you two done catching up yet?" He looked at the watch on his left wrist and then looked back at Jason and Aeolos as he said. "We should head out soon."

Jason said with annoyance. "What do you mean 'we'?!" He turned around and faced Jack as he said with a serious tone. "This isn't a team. I was only with you and Thomas because you had a way to get inside NYCS1. And then Thomas disappeared so I helped you find him. Now that Thomas is back I can finally leave." He turned his back to Jack and said. "This is goodbye." He began to walk toward Aeolos who was in front of the exit to the room.

Jack suddenly began chuckling as Jason walked further and further away from him. His chuckling began to get louder as he said. "Really? You really think you can leave that easily? Did you not hear it?"

Jason thought as he continued walking. "Hear it? Hear what?" He then shook his head side to side as he thought. "No, he is just trying to trick me again!" He glared at Aeolos intensely who was standing in front of the exit of the room.

Aeolos walked backwards and moved out of Jason's way. Jason stepped out of the room and continued walking into the next room.

Jason continued to laugh loudly as he said. "Do you really think you can escape with it around? If you get too close to it, you'll die! Can't exactly slay the Slashers if you're dead now can you?"

Jason stopped walking. He said with his back facing Jack. "What are you talking about?"

Jack began to walk toward Jason as he said mischievously. "You haven't heard it speak? It separated us from the ordinary people."

Jason turned and faced Jack. He looked at Jack intensely as he said. "Haven't heard 'what speak'? What do you mean it separated us? What is 'it'?"

Jack shrugged as he walked and said. "No idea. Never seen it. I've heard it appears in this area randomly and separates people like us from the ordinary people."

Jason had a perplexed expression on his face as he said. "What do you mean seperates people like us? We aren't anything alike. You aren't even a Slasher."

Jack continued walking as he said. "Maybe not. But, I'm also not what you would call ordinary either."

Jason's perplexed expression remained plastered on his face as he said. "Huh? What are you talking about?"

Jack stopped walking and stood a few feet away from Jason. He chuckled mischievously as he said. "It's difficult to explain. But, anyways I know how to get us out of here safely." He looked at Jason directly in the eyes through his visor as he said. "Follow me one last time and I swear I'll leave you alone once we get out of here."

Jason sighed with annoyance as he said. "Fine. If you're that insistent then I'll follow you out of here. As soon as we are past those walls though this little 'team' is over." He glared at Jack intensely with a serious expression on his face as he said. "And if you break our deal... then I will cut you down."

Jack chuckled mischievously as he said. "I'm a man of my word. Once we get past the wall you won't ever have to see me again."

Jason smirked and said. "Then let's go." He turned and began to walk toward the exit of the main room.

Jack said. "Wait! Hold on!"

Jason turned around and faced Jack. He had an irritated expression on his face as he looked at Jack and said. "What?!"

Jack said. "We still have to put all Thomas's equipment on him."

Jason's irritated expression became an annoyed expression as he said. "Huh? Why would we do that? He isn't even awake!"

Jack sighed and said. "Are you stupid or something? Once we leave we won't be able to come back and get it. We have to put it on him now so he'll already have it when he wakes up."

Jack sighed with annoyance and said. "Ugh! Fine! Just be quick about it!"

Aeolos set Thomas on the ground and rushed into the room Jason and Jack just came out of.

Jack said. "Wait, Aeolos! Hold on!"

Aeolos stopped in his tracks. He turned and looked at Jack.

Jack tossed a key from his right hand to Aeolos.

Aeolos caught the key with his left hand.

Jack said to Aeolos as he walked over to Thomas. "Give that back to Norv once you're done with it." He stood next to Thomas and then kneeled down on his right knee as he looked over at Aeolos.

Aeolos nodded and said. "Got it." He rushed over to the chest and shoved the key in the lock.

Jason thought as he watched Jack and Aeolos. "Where was Jack even hiding that key? In between his fingers?"

Aeolos opened up the chest. The armor inside was similar to Jack's. The only difference was the colors. The dominant color was red and the secondary color was black.

Aeolos began to take about half of all the armor pieces out of the chest. He then rushed them over to Thomas and set them next to Jack.

Jack began to attach the various armor pieces to Thomas's body.

Aeolos rushed back over to the chest and took out the rest of the contents and then rushed back over to Jack. He set all the contents next to Jack.

He then rushed back over to the chest and closed it. He took out the key and tossed it to Norv.

Norv caught the key with his right hand. He then looked over at Aeolos.

Aeolos smiled proudly at Norv. He then turned and then rushed over to Thomas. He kneeled down on his right knee directly across from where Jack was located. He began attaching the armor pieces to Thomas's body along with Jack.

Within about two minutes they had finished putting Thomas's armor on Thomas. Thomas wore armor that was both red and black. The dominant color was red and the secondary color was black. His metal boots were completely black as well as his knees, elbows, and the giant circle in the center of his chest. The rest of his body was covered with red metallic armor. His head was covered with a red helmet with a black visor. Strapped to his back was a sword that leaned to his right side.

Jack looked at Aeolos. "Can you still carry him?"

Aeolos grabbed Thomas's left arm with his right arm. He then threw Thomas over his shoulder. He got up from his kneeling position and stood on his two feet as Thomas laid over his right shoulder. He looked at Jack and said. "Yeah I got him."

Jack looked up at Aeolos and nodded as he said. "Alright. Let's go." He got up from his kneeling position and stood on his two feet. He walked over to Jason.

Jason looked at Jack with an annoyed expression and said. "Are you finally ready?"

Jack nodded and said. "Yeah let's go!"

Jason, Jack, and Aeolos began walking toward the exit of the main room.

Norv said as they all walked toward the exit. "Make sure you avoid any main roads. It is usually near the center of the city. And wherever 'It' is 'he' is always nearby. Aeolos I trust you can make sure they avoid any danger within the city."

Aeolos looked back at Norv as he walked toward the exit of the main room and smiled proudly as he said. "I won't let you down, Grandfather!"

Norv sighed and mumbled. "I hope not."

Jason, Jack, and Aeolos left the main room. They entered the room that was divided in half by a counter. They all walked toward the opening at the end of the counter and crossed into the other side of the room. Jason crossed first, then Jack, and finally Aeolos crossed last.

Jason walked toward the door that led out of the building. The same door that Jack had come into the building from.

Aeolos placed his right hand on his silver mask and moved it to cover his face. He said to Jason as he looked at the mask strapped to Jason's upper right arm. "Wait, Jason! Shouldn't you put your mask on?!"

Jason said as he walked out the door of the building. "No, I won't need it."
