The Reaper

Both Kuria and Thomas turned their heads and looked at Jason.

Kuria had an excited look in her eyes as she looked at Jason and said. "You've heard of me?! You of all people have actually heard of me?!"

Jason had a confused look on his face as he said with his sword still in his left hand. "Huh? What are you talking about? What do you mean me of all people?"

Aeolos had an expression of both shock and surprise on his face as he said. "She's... The Reaper?!"

Kuria looked at Aeolos and said happily. "You've heard of me too?!"

Kuria had a joyful smile on her face as she looked at both Aeolos and Jason.

Jason said with irritation. "You're only ten numbers below me! Of course I've heard of you." His fierce expression from before returned to his face as he tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword and said. "Why are you here?! Did you come here to try and kill me?! He looked up and down Kuria's whole body as he fully analyzed her with his eyes. He thought as he spotted Kuria's black and orange clothes. "Black and Orange? I heard that is the color of The Chaos Bringer's armor?" His head began to throb intensely. He groaned with pain as he pointed the tip of his sword at Kuria and said. "You're one of The Chaos Bringer's subordinates aren't you?"

Thomas moved in front of Kuria and put his hands up defensively as he said. "Wait! Hold on! She's not an enemy, Jason!"

Jason began to aggressively walk toward Thomas and Kuria. He had an annoyed expression on his face as he said to Thomas. "Huh?! Do you think I'd ever trust what you say?! Move out of the way!"

Thomas looked back at Kuria, who had a confused expression on her face, with a worried expression on his face and then looked at Jason as he pleaded. "But she doesn't even have a weapon!"

Jason stopped walking as he stood in front of Thomas. He said angrily to Thomas. "She is called The Reaper! She could be hiding it! And besides she is ranked as number sixty six! She is dangerous with or without a weapon!" He grabbed Thomas's right arm with his right hand and said aggressively. "Now move out of the way!" He flung Thomas out of the way with his right hand.

Thomas flew toward the ground a few meters away from Jason and Kuria.

Jason looked down at Kuria with an intimidating expression on his face as he said. "Why are you here?! Are you here to capture me? Or kill me?" He tightened the grip of his sword in his left hand as he stared down at Kuria.

Kuria had a completely dumbfounded expression on her face as she looked up at Jason and said. "Huh? What are you talking about?

Jason said angrily. "Don't play dumb with me! You're an assassin, aren't you? Were you sent by the Empire to try and kill me?"

Kuria shook her head and said. "I am an assassin." She looked over at Thomas and smiled as she said. "But, I'm just here to see Thomas."

Jason had a surprised expression on his face as he thought. "She is just here to see... Thomas."

Thomas yelled out at Jason with annoyance. "See. I told you she is not an enemy, you idiot!"

Jason began to shake his head back and forth as he thought. "That doesn't make any sense! Why would anyone want to see him! Something is not adding up here..."

Kuria looked over at Thomas and said. "Are you okay?"

Thomas nodded and said. "Yeah I'm fine." He stood back up on his feet and said to Kuria. "He is always like this."

Aeolos said while confused. "I don't understand what is going on. Why is Jason so hostile toward somebody associated with the Empire? I thought he only hated the Slashers associated with the Slasher Clan."

Jason looked down at the ground and said. "That's because..."

Thomas cut Jason off. He smirked as he said. "Because two years ago Jason went on a rampage and slaughtered an entire town. He was then deemed a threat by the higher ups. And is now being hunted down by Slashers associated with the Empire."

Both Aeolos and Jason had an expression of both shock and surprise on their faces.

Aeolos said to Thomas. "Wait what?"

Jason said to Thomas. "What?! How do you-?!"

Kuria disappeared from where she standing.

Before Jason had the chance to react he felt sharp metal being pressed up against his neck. He could feel a woman's chest being pressed up against his back.

Thomas began to cackle loudly. His loud cackle sounded like a hyena.

Jason said angrily as he stared at Thomas. "You bastard! What do you think you're doing?!"

Thomas looked at Jason and continued to cackle as he said. "Have you not pieced it together yet, Jason?" A cruel smirk appeared on his lips as he began to walk toward Jason. He said to Jason as he walked. "You said it yourself, didn't you? That my darling Kuria is an assassin associated with the Empire." He stopped walking. He looked Jason dead in the eyes. His cruel smirk turned into a cruel smile as he said. "So what do you think I am?"

Jason said with realization. "So you really were trying to kill me back at that building."

Thomas continued to smile as he said. "Of course I was." His smile turned into a frown as he said with annoyance. "But then Jack woke you up."

Aeolos grabbed both of his daggers with both of his hands. He stared at Thomas with a determined expression.

Thomas said to Aeolos as he continued to look at Jason. "Don't try it!" He grabbed the hilt of his sword with his right hand as he looked back at Aeolos and said with an intimidating tone. "You're not a target. If you don't interfere then you won't have to die."

Jason looked at Thomas and thought. "He is going to kill Aeolos?" He stared at Thomas's right hand which was holding onto the hilt of Thomas's sword. Jason began to laugh quietly and then his laughter became louder.

Thomas looked back at Jason and said while annoyed. "Hey! What's so funny?! Have you finally lost the last bit of your senses in your final moments?"

Jason continued to laugh as he stared at Thomas and said. "Do you really think you can beat Aeolos?"

Thomas said while annoyed. "Huh?! Of course I can!"

Jason's laughter grew louder as he said. "How? You're right handed but you don't possess the silver eyes of a pure blooded right handed Slasher." He laughed even louder as he said. "You're just a Half-Slasher! Do you really think you can defeat a pure blooded Slasher like Aeolos?"
