Elize turned to the door, dumbfounded. She raised her brows nervously as the knock sounded once again. She slipped off the bed, momentarily letting her guard down. That's when it hit her- the scent of forest and honey. The corners of her lips lifted into a smile as a voice came from outside the door.
"Baby? You in there?" He asked, sounding concerned.
Her heart was pounding in her chest like a drum. She bet Zack could hear her from where he stood. Now she knew why her friends were laughing like that before they left in a hurry. Elize felt like a little kid, about to get candy. She covered her mouth as she chuckled mischievously. She looked around for a place to hide. As her gaze landed on the curtains on the side of the window, she smiled in satisfaction.
"No, I am not," She replied, drawing the flimsy curtain over herself.
