Chapter 217: Getting ready for sleep

In the blink of an eye, the prince was on top of her. Elize's eyes widened in shock as he bent lower, his face resting inches from her own. She could feel his breath on her lips- teasing her by staying just far enough. For the fraction of a second, time slowed as she stared into his emerald green eyes. She wondered how it would feel to close the distance between them once again, the memory of their kiss lingering in the back of her mind. 

Suddenly Lloyd chuckled. Gently sweeping a strand of her hair from her face, he asked, "Having dirty thoughts, are we?" 

The question alerted her at once. Cursing her moment of weakness, she pushed at him with all her strength. But this time, the kelpie was prepared. He dodged her hands, sliding off of her quickly with a laugh. As soon as he slid off of her, she sat up, putting a pillow between the two of them. Slapping on its surface, she glared at him in irritation.
