Zack's POV

The moment he felt the tug in their bond, he knew that the prince had come. But he didn't get up from his seat. He had told her that he would try, and he was not one to go back on his word. He leaned against the backrest of his chair, staring absentmindedly at the wallpaper on the wall opposite him, listening to her chaotic feelings through the bond.

"Zack?" He heard someone call. "Zack?" Strong hands gripped his shoulder, shaking him urgently. 

Zack looked up at his friend with a confused expression. Alex raised his brows inquisitively. 

"Have you been listening to what we said?" He asked, easing the hold on his shoulder. 

"Hmm?" Zack asked, in a distracted manner.
