Chapter 410: Her pet

Luna looked at the group of people in front of her in irritation. A few deities, male and female, in light armor, were talking to their fellow guards who stood in front of the ornate golden door to the Consort's room. She had tried to shake them off the best that she could and had even tried threatening them. 

But it didn't work. So she had no other way than to let them come along with her to the East wing. The guards glanced at her warily every now and then, quickly averting their gaze when she narrowed her eyes at them. As they continued to whisper away, she sighed, looking around the place. 

It seemed like ages since she had come to the place. Ever since her mother's death, she hadn't stepped foot in the East Wing. The memories that lay sleeping in these corridors had always been too painful for her to look back at. She quickly dabbed at her eyes with the back of her sleeve and turned back to the door impatiently.
