Chapter 32 - Bloodline

''Hahaha! Good, good, good!'' Xian Zi jumped and danced after hearing Haize's answer, and it took him a few seconds to realize his actions. With a straight face, he sat down elegantly, before looking at Haize, ''I need to admit, your talent is nearly as good as my talent, yes.''

Giving him a glance, Xian Zi nodded with satisfaction before he said, ''Only a mere Low Mana Sea stage but your overall power is comparable to someone at Mist stage, very impressive. Even the size of your Mana Sea is already comparable to a High Mana Sea...''

As already explained by Xian Zi, 1-Star and 2-Star are both called Mana Sea. So that nobody gets confused, most beings refer to 1-Star and Peak 1-Star as Low and Medium Mana Sea, while 2-Star and Peak 2-Star is High and Perfect Mana Sea.

The most important part is that while the Mana Space is the source of their Mana, after one's Mana Core turns into a Mana Sea, their strength will evolve significantly. It is called 'sea' because the Mana turns into a liquid substance, flowing from the Mana Space towards the entire body. Many are stuck in the Mana Core stage for a lifetime, all because they couldn't melt the Mana Core.

Of course, melting the Mana Core is nothing but a metaphor. They couldn't complete the process of turning the solidified Mana into a liquified Mana. Looking at Haize, Xian Zi stretched his hand towards nowhere, and an old-looking book suddenly appeared out of thin air.

''This is a Mana Scripture I obtained when I adventured on an ancient ruin, and it's a very good one to help one control and manipulate their Mana. It's perfect for you and the three little brats, that have just started on their path as Mana Users. Just treat this as my first gift for you as my disciple.'' Xian Zi said gently, and Haize took the book without hesitation.

Just kidding, who on their right mind would refuse something they desperately need? Even though his own brute power is very good, his control and manipulation of Mana are just in its most primordial form. It would benefit not only him, but also Lyse, John, and Edward.

Opening the old-looking book, the first thing he saw were huge words: 'Mana Scripture - Supreme Control'

''...Supreme Control? Perhaps, its creator was high when he named it? Such a lack of creativity.'' Haize muttered, feeling a bit speechless.

Afterward, Haize asked many questions regarding some doubts he had accumulated over the past week, and Xian Zi answered all of them patiently. He also explained about his Pioneer of Light ability, while being doubtful as to why his disciple actually has three abilities.

The whole process of asking doubts and having them answered took a few hours, as some questions weren't that simple. They needed to go from the very basics of Mana, and only then would the doubts be answered. Some needed Haize to practice by himself, with the theory given by his master.

It was already extremely rare for someone to have two abilities, and there may not appear one even if millions of years pass. Of course, this wasn't even near being a certainty, because it is possible for a few dual ability geniuses to appear every few decades. It simply depends on someone's talent, bloodline, and luck.

People whose abilities come from their bloodline are called Bloodline Awakeners and are inherently stronger than those that didn't awaken their abilities from their bloodline. Just like it's possible that a dual ability genius appears every few decades instead of millions of years, it's not absolute that Bloodline Awakeners are stronger than ordinary awakeners.

Bloodline abilities, as they are called, don't have grades according to the system evaluation. However, the bloodlines themselves have grades, and the bloodline grade determines the abilities' grade. For one to measure their bloodline grade, they need to use a Mana Stone with the specific function of detecting bloodlines.

Thinking of that, Xian Zi suddenly took out a strange-looking stone with blood-red lines dancing all over its surface. Then, he instructed, ''Let's check your bloodline grade, and by the way, bloodlines are graded the same as Mana Scriptures. Just put your hand in the stone.''

Seeing that, Xian Zi further confirmed that Haize's abilities come from his bloodline, with the exception of his Pioneer of Light ability, ''Now, you just need to drip a bit of blood on it, and we'll see the grade.''

With a slight nod, Haize forced his Mana to make a small cut on his index finger, and droplets of golden-colored blood fell on the stone. Xian Zi didn't ask much about why his blood color was different since even Haize himself may not know it, and just paid close attention to the stone.
