''Yup.'' Ziam nodded lightly before standing in front of all Covering Sun Faction members, Lyse, John, and Edward did the same very thing. In the past week, the so-called generals, as they liked to call it, were thoroughly decided. They even came out with titles.
General of the Sun, General of the Skies, and General of the Death were for Lyse, Edward, and John respectively. Everyone else was speechless about this, but it did make sense due to their abilities.
They were collectively called Chuuni Generals by the Covering Sun Faction members.
Edward stared at Haize with a slight hesitant expression, not knowing if he should ask what he wanted to ask or not. He knew that when compared to John, the trust that Haize has towards himself is nearly zero. Of course, it was contrary to his expectations that while Haize didn't trust him, he wouldn't ever come to treat him badly.
Then, with determination, Edward came forward before saying, ''What did you call us here, boss? Did another faction try to go against us again?''
Looking over Edward, Haize felt a bit satisfied that the youngster at least didn't restrain himself from asking. Tapping lightly on his chair, Haize shook his head, ''No, except for the Women Alliance, all of the others submitted. I didn't go to visit their faction yet because they're doing something good, something like a law.''
The No. 3 faction was the only one that called themselves 'Alliance' instead of 'Faction', to which Haize agreed. They didn't make the faction for power-purposes, but so that a woman could help another woman. Together, they grew stronger to one of the top Factions within Ottawa.
''Our purpose is simple... We'll clear Ottawa, I have decided that it's the time to do it. Maybe before I only had blind confidence, but I have experienced Ottawa's situation personally, and I know that we can do it now. Coupled with the other factions helping, it's undoubtedly an easy task.'' Haize said in a calm tone, his expression showing no signs of changing.
Then, he glanced at Ziam.
Ziam nodded at him before starting to explain, ''For that, we will divide the faction into four teams. We currently have around 40 members who are combatants, so we will have ten on each team. Boss has already explained to me the plans, and the teams were already divided.''
People with diverse abilities, ranging from elemental to physical, and from physical to spiritual, were grouped together. Some had different types of abilities, but they complemented each other's abilities, and that was how Haize divided them. Lyse rolled his eyes, ''Brother, how come there are people with water-type abilities on my group?''
Ignoring Lyse's question, Haize turned his attention to everyone, ''Anyone here has doubts? If not, we can start raiding the city. We must all stay at most 100 meters away from each other, in order to safely raid the city. If a group falls in danger, shoot your ability towards the sky, and I'll come to rescue.''
The concept of stages having different names from the system evaluation was thoroughly explained by Ziam, who learned it from Haize. In the past week, they also learned a lot about Mana, but even Lyse didn't even come close to the monstrous progress of Haize.
'It's as it should be by rights. There is no one more awesome than my brother in this world.' Lyse thought, not caring about his own talent being inferior to that of Haize.
John looked over Haize after feeling the latter's glance falling at himself, ''Need me for something? Just tell me and I'll go bang and boom, exploding monsters to death left and right.''
''Just... Just take these Low Mana Sea monsters as a support for you.'' Haize massaged his forehead in response to John's rapper-like speech. Afterwards, he extended his hands to the nothingness, before pulling out quite a few Low Mana Sea monsters.
They all fell to the ground with a thud, and John's face showed clear excitement. The monsters had just a clean line on their necks, a sign that Haize did his best to defeat them cleanly, as not to affect their battle strength. His heart warmed up slightly, before nodding seriously as dark silver rays of light slowly enveloped the ten or so Low Mana Sea monsters.
On the way back a week ago, Haize did collect some Low Mana Sea monsters, and he tried to kill them with the least injuries.
After the groups were organized and he gave orders to all of them before his gaze stopped at Edward, whose body became tense. Haize couldn't help but feel slightly amused before his tone softened a bit, ''Edward, I'm optimistic about you.''
Edward wasn't going to lie, he almost cried after hearing these words. Nobody but himself knew what that meant except himself, because this meant that Haize was starting to truly recognize him as a part of his family. While he knew he wasn't nearly as close to Haize as Lyse and John, the golden-eyed man's tone was very similar to when he talked to the duo.
''I'll be sure not to disappoint you!'' Edward said excitedly, silver and golden lightning flashing deep inside his eyes. Then, the four groups turned into streams of light, each going for an area of Ottawa. Of course, none of them were more than 100 meters away from each other.
Haize suddenly said to the nothingness, ''Master, may you tell me where the High and Perfect Mana Sea are at? That would make it infinitely easier instead of searching for their hidden spots.''
''Aya, I'm so tired recently. My back suddenly hurts, and I feel my stomach rumbling with pain, I think I gotta go!'' Xian Zi suddenly appeared while wailing in a painful manner, before just disappearing out of thin air.
''...'' Haize looked at the place Xian Zi once was, before shaking his head with a gentle smile. He had taken a hold of his master's character, and the old man is a very shameless person. What graceful immortal? If Xian Zi calls himself graceful, then everyone else has the royalties' etiquette.
'It seems I'll need to search by myself, whatever... It'll just take a bit more of time.' Haize thought before a milky white light wrapped his body up, and the speed of 100 meters per second burst out. A bright white radiance was everything that people who looked from the distance could see.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Origin Star Continent.
There were many temples gathered together in a small mountain, and at its top, an old monk flashing with a golden brilliance that radiated holiness meditated while giving out a low 'om' sound. There were many wrinkles on his old face, and his back was slightly curved, a sign of his old age.
An aura of peacefulness was around him, as if the chaotic world couldn't affect him at all. Suddenly, his closed eyes shot open as golden rays of light burst out of them endlessly, before his eyes closed once again, ''I wonder what the Omniscient Space Emperor is doing at this humble monk's temple?''
Another old man, with a black shirt and comfortable white pants, suddenly appeared in mid-air. Staring down at the old monk, the old man said, ''Old monk, I remember that you still owe me a lot after I saved your temple from destruction a thousand years ago, hm?''
''Yes, I do remember the benefactor's deeds, I was just a little monk at that time.'' The old monk said in a peaceful, gentle tone.
Xian Zi smiled shortly before extending his hand forward, ''Good, then it's time to pay for the many debts you owe me. Hand over the Golden Buddha's Scripture and our debts will be paid.''
The old monk's eyes suddenly opened, letting out a golden but cold radiance out of them, ''The benefactor can't be serious, right? You must know that this is our strongest scripture, and those who are not fated to Buddhism can't use it.''
''It doesn't matter, just hand it over.''
''You're making things complicated, Xian Zi... Could it be that you're trying to rob our scripture?'' The old monk even stopped calling Xian Zi his benefactor, and his tone was as cold as ice.
Xian Zi looked around for a few seconds, as if he was pondering deeply. Then, he said, ''Yeah, this is a robbery. If you don't want me to destroy your so-called Buddhism, hand it over.''
An illusory shadow suddenly appeared behind the old monk, it was a bald old man with long ears with a big, round lobe. Just as he gave the idea of resisting, a 'hmph' left Xian Zi's mouth, and the illusory shadow disappeared.
''Very good, old monk! Very good...''
Behind Xian Zi, two huge black-purple eyes emerged from the void. Countless white dots flickered inside it in a continuous sequence, as if these eyes could overlook the entire universe. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that it contained the vast sea of stars and the endless cosmos within it.
Xian Zi's face was cold as ice, and an overbearing aura slowly enveloped the entire temple, ''Today, the world will learn why I, the Omniscient Space Emperor, am the strongest.''
