Protect Your Summoner

It was late in the evening. Zann was watching the moon, not able to sleep even this late at night.

As night fell the blue haze of day lifted to reveal the stars, Zann always felt that this was closer to the truth of who they are.

He wondered if people were nocturnal, would they feel more connected to those far away stars, perhaps sensing the fragility of Earth all the more.

To him, the night was when the curtain was pulled back, when we got to see out of the window we call "the sky" to the universe beyond.

He took a deep breath, always admiring the night every time it came. Sometimes, Zann even wondered if he has the spirit of an elf since elves are always in a trance—only needing four hours of sleep—which is why he enjoyed the night more.

Though, he knew better not to think of himself as one. If he only slept less, he would often have the sensation of being tireless—or might even have headaches.
