50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. 

Huo Ling was delivering food that day when he met Yi Bing and the guy gave him a warning. When he arrived to the customer's unit, he was killed.

"So… Ling Shiyi ratted you out to the Heavenly emperor?" Gu Lin asked as he looked at Shen Sheng after he heard what the other said.

"No." Shen Sheng answered. "He followed me to another world." He said.

Gu Lin's brow raised. That wimp got guts? He thought, feeling surprised.

Shen Sheng ignored his expression full of interest. "The world that we fell into was a western fantasy world out of a gaming world." He said.

"A world from another world." Gu Lin muttered.

"En." Shen Sheng nodded in affirmation. "There, my race was found out and I was a god. Meanwhile, he was an angel." He said.

Gu Lin looked at him. "Aren't gods and angels on the same faction?" he spoke. "So, how did he betray you?" he asked for the nth time. He felt like Shen Sheng is stalling time.
