50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. 

Huo Ling was delivering food that day when he met Yi Bing and the guy gave him a warning. When he arrived to the customer's unit, he was killed.

Afterlife Department

"They are…" Ruan Yu muttered as he looked at the group of archangels.

Gu Shi started from his daze and coughed to relieve his awkwardness. "This is Ling Si, the leader of the group of archangels." He introduced as he looked at Ling Si who nodded at the other grim reapers.

"Ling Si." Ling Si spoke. "My power is telekinesis." He said as he waved his hand and the spy angels, along with the traitor immortal lords and immortal elders, flew over to where the spy grim reapers were held.

"Ling Er!" the hyper Ling Er spoke and smiled. "Mine is teleportation! It got something to do with space, like my elder brother, Ling San!" he said and motioned Ling San who is standing beside him silently. "His power is creation and destruction, though!" he told them.

The grim reapers were surprised that there are brothers in archangels' group, too, like Jiu Ye and Shi Jiu of the Afterlife Department!
