A New Era

Edward has all his bodyguards post the notice everywhere in every city of the kingdom while Consort Yolanda is trying to plot against Edward to make sure he doesn't sit on the throne. She gathered all the officers to find a way to get her to be Edward's regent queen. Unfortunately for her, Edward was smart and talented when it comes to politics.

Consort Yolanda was the second wife to King Robert, Edward's father. She bore a son Oscar a year before Edward was born from the queen Eliza. On the day of the crown prince coronation, Robert had to chose which of the sons he would want to follow his footsteps. He chose Edward the younger son and no one has any idea why he did that. According to the kingdom's rules the older son is supposed to be next in line but he broke the law. Since that day Yolanda hated Eliza and Edward, she determined to do whatever in her power to bring them down. The queen Eliza disappeared ten years ago a little after Edward coronation. No one knew what has happened to her. King Robert never stopped looking for her but never found an answer to her disappearance. Even though the queen disappeared king Robert never gave the queen position to consort Yolanda. This is why all the hatred and war started. 

Canasa the neighbor kingdom was Ethera's biggest rival. Centuries ago it was one land with one ruler until there was a disagreement and they divided the land into two Canasa from the East and Ethera from the west. Since then they have become mortal enemies. King Robert tried to unify the country during his reign but he died before he could achieve it. Since Edward was being mentored by the king himself, he swore to finish the work his father has started ages ago, but for him to do so he had to get rid of every wall in his way.

At Bruno's small cottage home, He was thinking about who would go to represent the Macovach's family. Although he was the finest general of his generation, he couldn't represent his family because of the previous status he had during King Robert's reign. He was getting old and wasn't fit to be in the military forces.

"What should I do, Matthew is too young and doesn't have experience in life yet. I'm getting so old I don't have the strength anymore."

"Father, I have decided to go to represent our family. You don't have to worry about that"

"No, No you can't, you cannot go. According to the law, no female can do any military work."

"Father, I can't put you and my siblings in danger. You've been teaching me how to fight ever since small. I'm not afraid of being in the army. Someone has to go other than that we will be thrown into jail."

"My child, I know you best, I'm not sure if you can survive the palace schemes. Who will protect you

there with that temper of yours"

"Father do not worry about me, I can take care of myself. I will be fine. As for these officers, I will make them pay one by one for what they have done to you"

"My child, do not seek revenge, especially against the prince. On the contrary, you must protect him with your life."

"Did I just hear you speak in the favor of the prince, why?"

"Because he's the only one that can bring us a glorious nation. Promise me that you will protect him with all you got. Do you hear me, promise me, my child?"

"I promise father, I will do so. Now let me get ready before the officers get here."

Half an hour pass, she came out looking just like a man. She put her hair in a ponytail. Bind her chest and wear big clothes. Her disguise was really good so there's no way people would found out about her identity.

"How do I look, dad? "She said. "I present you, Alexander"

"Oh my child, I almost did not recognize you. This is a crime deceiving the king. One more thing, they must not know who you are or where you come from."

" I will protect myself father. Matthew you have to take care of the house from now one. I will be missing you all. Dana honey, from now you have to listen to Matt, be a good girl ok."

"Okay, will I ever see you again mama? "Said, Dana

Dana was raised with Alexa and Bruno, she always called her mother because she was the only mother figure she has known.

"Yes, honey, I will come back home soon okay."

Dana shook her head into an agreement with Alexa and ran to her toys to play.

"I'll take my leave now father, Please do take care of yourself. She hugged her father and head out to the capital for the registry."

It took Alexa two days to reach the capital where the king and the richest people of the country resides. It was where the competition was holding and most of the government affairs. At the registry where Alexa was standing, a young man's name Kanan came and skipped the line trying to force his way to the beginning. There was a young boy standing in front of Alexa is name was Nathan, he was shy and fearful. Kanan came out of nowhere and pushed him to the side and took his place. Alexa saw that she pushed him back and said:

"Move,  you should be at the end of the line since you just came"

"Who the hell are you? "He said arrogantly

"Who the hell are you? " Alexa reply. Kanan was getting ready to fight Alexa when one of the officers shout

"Silence in my office right now. " He hit the table so hard and everything suddenly stopped.

Nathan was really shy he approached Alexa quietly and said to her

"You really don't know who that is?"

"I don't care about who he is even if he was the king himself, he shouldn't use his power to bully others. I would do it again if I had to."

All the other contestants were whispering to each other

"I think Kanan met his match today, I've never seen anyone stood up to him that way."

"Who is he by the way, can he even fight? he looks like a girl, can a man be that pretty." Said one of the competitor standing on the line.

She turned around and smirk thinking about herself " I'm a woman you bunch of idiots, that's a confirmation that my disguise is really good. Here I come Prince Edward."
