Chapter 43: Til' We Met Again

~ Third Person's Point of View ~

Garron asked for the princess to have a sit while they wait for Belor.

Danaya, together with her men was offered by a hot tea and sign of respect and gratitude, they accepted it.

However, her five men insisted to watch and guard the place while they sip into the hot tea. They leave Danaya who's discussing something with Garron.

Danaya smiled bitterly when Belor took for awhile talking to Miranda. It's getting dark and it is too disturbing and dangerous to ride at night.

Garron observed her like he never saw such countless and great archer like Danaya. He was starstruck with her rare beauty and rare characteristics. Out of nowhere, he asked, "Princess of Atlantis, would you give me an opportunity to hold and to kiss your hand?"

Danaya came back to reality when Garron abruptly took her right hand without her approval.

She was shocked and disappointed by the man's behaviour. She replied, "It is against our regimes. An ordinary and typical man has no right and power to meet; to hold; to kiss one of the royal family. Especially the Princess."

Danaya looks apologetic and remorseful for him to believe in her words. Yet, the truth is– Princess Danaya was making excuses for Garron to be disappointed and disregarded with her.

Garron gave her a peal of unusual laughter and replied, "Ohh! You look like the Princess of Alicesha, your majesty! She was brave and courageous enough to rule her kingdom, however, she failed to protect us during an apocalypse. During this kind of phenomenon."

Princess Danaya gasped as she hears about Princess Alice. She doesn't understand why does she feels annoyed and irritated every time there's someone who's keeping mentioning her name, Alice.

She hid her real emotions and discomfort. Danaya said, "Do not mention the princess's name in front of me, Garron."

Garron was taken aback by the sudden response of her. Most of the people who hear about the name of the greatest Princess of all Kingdoms always been too amused and stunned by it.

Yet, Princess Danaya were too different from them. Garron replied and in his curiosity. "My sincere apology, Princess of Atlantis. I do not know that you despise the name of our soon to be queen."

He then bowed and took a deep breath as he wait for Danaya's response when Belor and Miranda showed up.

Belor said in an apologetic way, "Please forgive me for keeping you wait, Princess Danaya. I and Miranda have to talk about the Prince you were looking for."

The old man observed that Princess Danaya were wise and an intelligent woman. If he directly tells everything to her then it would not be fair. And, Belor cannot guarantee that she is really the Princess of Atlantis.

Where in fact, none of them has been visited the Kingdom of Atlantis.  It doesn't even exist in the world map.

Danaya stood up with no signal, then she replied, "You have nothing to worry about, Belor. We are here to ask for your help and so must be the one who patiently waiting for you. Do not worry, I have one word and I do not have any plan to betray all of you."

Her men were still guarding the place. Still waiting for the princess, because anytime soon, the sun will have vanished and darkness would be the king.

Belor and Garron looked at each as if they were talking about something; about an important matter that their the only two persons can interpret it.

Garron said to divert the tension between them, "Let us continue!" He exclaimed but his eyes were still looking at Belor.

Belor's grandchildren were playing at the backyard and so they cannot hear what they are discussing.

It's only exclusive with Belor, Garron and Danaya.

"As I have said if you can help me to locate the princess. I and my father will give you a reward as soon as we bring back him to Atlantis. Do not worry, Belor, Garron, because I have no plan to failed you. Trust my words and you will see what I can do."

The old man remembered what Miranda have told him earlier, "Belor, she is the Princess of Atlantis! She can give us refuge and protection against the undead and so we must help her! Here, look at this portrait! My father once gave that to me when I was only ten. Look at it carefully, Belor. Look at it!"

Miranda wasn't lying. Her father was a warrior of Alicesha and so he must have been sawed Danaya. He then kept her mesmerizing feature and he sketched it with the use of charcoal.

Belor lowered down his head in slow motion. He then looked it and replied, "It's our pleasure to help you, Princess." The old man paused and look for Garron who's standing in front of him. "Garron, speak up everything that can help Princess Danaya to find her half-sister as soon as possible."

Danaya turned her gaze at him as he started to open his mouth. Garron looked intently into her eyes and began to speak. "We saw the prince in the market. It was night and too dark when we s–"

"Do not rejigger the information you have told me earlier! Tell me the truth or we will leave here without reticence! Do not challenge  and fool me, because I can kill all of you here!" Danaya touched her sword at her right side and was ready to attack them.

She glared at Garron sharply and added, "Speak! Or I will bring out your heart from your chest!"

Garron has never felt so frightened and afraid in his entire life.

Automatically, the princess's men heard the commotion inside. They abruptly heave their swords and ready themselves for an attack.

Danaya said, "Speak now Garron! In one!... two!..."

Belor was about to pull her when one of the princess's men grasp her arms. He was horrified and scared because of the sudden happenings.

"Thr–"

Finally, Garron interrupted her and said. "We fought! And... the Prince got a long and severe cut into his back. However, the next thing that happened was made us terrified and run back to the hideaway!"

Belor said, "Do not tell her the truth, Garron! She is cruel! She's beyond a monster than Princess Alice!"

Because of his insulting words, Danaya punches the old man's face.

Blood flow into his lips that made him dumbfounded and astounded. How can a woman like her possess such a powerful fist and punch?

Eager and passion pushed Danaya to do it. If she won't be cruel and fierce, Belor and Garron will let her fall into a trap that they have made.

Danaya needs to be brutal; violent and ferocious.

She gazed at Garron and heaves the sword from her right side. She said in a furious tone, "What happened to him! How dare you to hurt the prince, Garron!"

"His wounded back had splashed rare blood! Bluish blood to be exact! Whether you believe it or not, I only attempted to save the baby from him! I'm begging you, do not kill me! Spare my life! Spare our lives, Princess!"

Garron knelt down and touched her knees. He was pleading, asking; begging to be precise.

Danaya was out of reality when she discovered that Zeln was wounded. He must be dead or must have lost so much blood.

No! It can't be! She can't fail the king; her father!

Danaya placed her sword into his neck and asked him for the nth time. "Have you killed my brother that night?! Answer me or your blood will be scattered throughout this house!"

She put a little bit pressure as she points it into Garron's neck. She was extremely out of her sanity. Angriness is eating her whole system; her mind; her soul.

Danaya swipes the sword that made them widened their eyes and with their mouth wide open.

The old man and Garron thought that one of them got sliced. Fortunately, Danaya slashed the wooden chair that was being cut into half.

Garron raised up his both hands as a sign of surrender and abnegate. He then said as his body was shaking and was trembling of fear.

"Before we leave from the forest, we witnessed how his wound vanished and how his bluish blood stopped from flowing! The wound was mended and healed magically that an ordinary human like us cannot explain!" Garron stopped for a moment to breathe in and to earn courage to continue.

Garron opened his mouth but one of them meddles in. "Your majesty! It's getting dark now, we need to hurry up or we will be staying until the sun rises up again!"

Belor took a deep breath as he thought he will be released soon. He said, "Leave us alone now, Princess. Or zombies will obtain our revenge against you!"

The old man gave her an insulting laugh. Yet, Danaya wants to hear that Garron did not kill Zeln. She then looked at him again and said, "Speak!"

Garron said while still kneeling down. "I did not execute him! But, there's someone who did it! I... I do not know who he is but you can search him in the forest! I'm begging you, I am telling the truth!"

Danaya wanted to raise a question but they need to leave. She has no choice but to release Belor and Garron.

Before leaving, she left them with words; with a threat to be exact.

"Til' we met again!"
