"Pick a strip of paper from the box. Those that have the same numbers are in one group." That was what the teacher instructed before she left. Minutes later, Chris found himself sitting next to an empty chair and an unknown classmate. They both didn't bother to introduce themselves and Chris never bothered to know the name of his classmates. Chris shifted his attention outside the window.
"Sorry for taking too long, got held up by something. I'm Adrian Condor." Adrian winked, placing Chris out of his thoughts as they faced each other.
"Chris Liu."
"Genesis Silva. Please take care of me."
Nothing came after that.
"We'll be working as a group from now so I'll get along with your snob asses." Adrian laughed and started to gather his things.
"Let's have lunch then. Do you guys have any plans?" Chris and Genesis both shook their heads.
"Okay then. Let's eat at the medical faculty."
"Medical faculty?" Chris looked unamused at Adrian.
"What? I thought you didn't have plans. Stop looking at me like that." Chris nodded his head and went to his phone and texted Alice.
Chris: I'm eating there.
Alice: I swear to god I am not dating anyone. Don't monitor me.
Chris: not that. table
Alice: Why are you eating here?
Chris: Hiding something? I'm calling your dad.
Alice: Come here 1pm sharp.
"I got a table."
"Already?" Adrian looked shocked then a smirk formed on his lips. "I like you now. I think we'll be getting along just fine."
"Can I go to the restroom first?" Genesis asked. When the two nodded, Genesis left the classroom. While waiting for Genesis, Adrian kept talking about his car while Chris just nodded his head as he pretended to listen.
"Thank you for waiting." Genesis exclaimed as he approached the two and the trio started walking towards the medical faculty.
While walking there, Adrian talked and talked. Chris had earphones on. Genesis responded from time to time but didn't talk much.
When they arrived they immediately bought their food. Chris took off his earphones. Adrian noticed it and scowled at Chris.
"Does it kill you to listen to me?" Chris just smirked at Adrian and walked ahead of them.
Chris was looking for Alice when he heard someone calling.
"Chris hiii!" It was Samatha who sat at the same table as Alice. Chris approached the table. Samatha looked behind Chris and her eyes went wide. "Oh my god. I'm so glad I ditched my brother. My eyes are blessed. Hiii, I'm Samantha. "
"Adrian Condor, nice to meet you."
Alice became confused and looked up and saw Chris sitting opposite of her with two guys. She shot Chis a questioning look and Chris just shrugged. Alice rolled her eyes and smiled sweetly at the two guests.
"Hi I'm Alice Rodriguez. I'm first cousins with Chris and you are?" //huwaw "first cousins" gyud ang giingon sa greeting xD
"Friends since before lunch and hopefully will still be after. I'm Adrian and he's Genesis."
"Nice to meet you." Genesis smiled slightly and went back to eat.
"Are you guys busy later? I want to hangout with you guys. I can go anywhere before curfew." Samantha asked while looking at the 4 people at the table.
"Love to Sammy but we have something to do. Maybe next time." Adrian winked at Samatha who laughed cheerfully.
"Chris and I share a house. Let's go there." Alice offered and the three of them agreed. "We'll meet at the parking lot. C, my things are upstairs."
Chris nodded and went with Alice to her classroom.
"C stay here." Alice went inside the classroom while Chris stood guard at the door.
He was scrolling through his phone when he felt like he was being watched. He looked at the hallway but found nothing.
He scouted the area until he found a blurry outline located across their building. He couldn't see who it was because of his eyesight. He forgot to put on contact lenses.
Chris narrowed his eyes in an attempt to see the figure better but it was of no use. Something about the person in front of him seemed familiar. He rubbed his fingers together while trying to make sense who it was.
"Chris!" In his sight was an angry Alice. "I've been calling you for what, like a hundred times."
"I saw someone." Chris explained while he took some of Alice's books.
"Where?" Alice's voice still sounded annoyed.
"At the other building." Chris looked back at the building but there was nothing there anymore.
"There's no one there. Are your eyes so broken you're seeing things?" Alice glared at him and started to walk away. "This is why you shouldn't forget to wear your glasses or contact lens idiot."
"I wonder who caused me to forget about it." Alice glared at Chris who wore a smug grin.
"Are you blaming me?" Alice said through gritted teeth. Her annoyance made Chris grin even wider.
"Are you guilty?"
Unable to handle the teasing, Alice gave up and glared at Chris. "C, I love you but right now I wish I could throw you off the building."
"Lissie, you can't even carry your books." Chris emphasized the books she was carrying. Alice was about to retort when they heard a sound of a glass crashing.
"Shit Isaac! Carry it properly!"
"My shoes are wet. River, I need to change them."
"The fish are dying and you're worried about your shoes? Quit whining and help me get them."
"I'm not picking up fish. They're slimy and slippery. Yuck."
"Lower down your voices."
3 voices followed the crash while Alice and Chris silently went away from the scene.
