Dahlia is simply trying to survive. Being one of the new undead, a Taker, survival means living off of the thoughts and feelings of her victims, leaving them husks of their former selves. But are they the true victims? At least their last thoughts are of pure pleasure. At least they don’t have to look at themselves in the mirror and wonder when hunger will turn them into a monster.
