I drove us away from the landing bay. "It moves smoother Pearl your the best."
"Don't flirt with her that's my job." Talon said.
"I am not yours!" Pearl snapped.
"Beautiful I am not going to give up I'm your." Sweet talked her.
"Can we stop flirting and deal with the problem here. Diana is going to give birth. Aren't you going a little fast." Sue said breathless.
"I suggest you strap in. I seem to be followed. I am not going give up our food sleeping bags or you ladies. I know she is having her baby." I said swerving around trash piles and buildings.
Talon and Peter strapped the children on the ground and brought out guns. I traveled up the wall of a building. I pushed a button that was labeled solar panels.
The sound of screaming I ignored. I made it to the top of building to find a large group fully armed. I sped up as their guns shot at us to the other side the reflection of the panel made us had to see.
"We are crowning could you try to not to spill the water." June said from the back. I was going down the building now. The shadow side of the building.
At the end of the ride down I heard the scream and saw the thing coming at me. I caught it as I pulled up with a sharp turn around the trash. I see it is a baby. "It's a boy." I anounced.
Kevin slugged me hard after making her way to the front. She had a towel. She took the baby then marched back to her sister.
"You have really got on that ones bad side." Peter teased. He pointed at a dark tunnel I took it without lights slowing to a crawl. I watched for movement as I moved deeper. In front of me a long ways a head was a spot of light.
I prayed that the silence in the bus stayed but I know better. We got closer to the light movement outside caught my eye. Then the baby cried filling the silence. I sighed moving a little faster until a figure stood in front of the bus. I stopped flipping on my lights.
The figure covered it's eyes as others scattered to the shadows. "Did you bring us trouble?"
I looked at the figure I gathered is a woman. "I can't say I wanted to or know that you were here I am just trying to make sure my supplies are not taken. Are you holding me up so they will catch up for a percentage?"
"You open those doors and let us in take us with you and I won't hold you up." She held her hands on her thin hips. I could hear the clatter.
"There is only children here and they will kill us and it will be your fault." she tried again.
"Joe they are destroying the tunnel." Talon said.
"I will count to ten with this door open if any weapons come out you will be shot. Those not on will be left." I said opening the door "One two three ..." the children flooded I to the bus "... Seven eight nine ten." The woman entered the doors closed. The ground started to shake "Hold on"
"Ten seconds is not enough time mister." she wined as I shot off at a quick speed to the light on the other side as debris fall around us.
"As you see we only had second. My apologies names Joe. You can meet the others while I get out of this death trap."
I flew closer to the light it was a window, "I need a door."
"On it." I heard Talon say as a misle flew past blowing a hole big enough for us to fit. It was still burning as we shot through and the whole place collapsed.
"Get your heads down." I yelled several shots went off. They were set up or was this a different group. I was trying to read the manual as fast as I could to learn the working of this bus before we left. Now I wish I had more time.
I weaved and run over even knocked over piles of trash to get out way from the men wanting what was mine. I turn southwest towards a wall.
Up top on the wall was a electric waves above that was wire. "Do you happen to have another one of these things? I don't know what to do.
"You don't want to go in." Said one of the new people in this bus.
"Can you make it look like that is the way we are going and make a lot of smoke."
"On it just ride the wall." Peter said.
I went a sharp turn sticking to the wall going north through fireworks and smoke the wall began to turn west I came out of the smoke.
When we were going south again I turned west off the wall. "Your crazy here is dinner." Kevin said stuffing a sandwich in my mouth. "Thank you."
It was quiet out there now.
