A cold chill went down Minimus's spine as he stared at Asterios. He thought as he stared at Asterios's right hand which was holding onto the hilt of the greatsword strapped to Asterios's back. "Is he mocking me, again?"
Asterios said. "What is your answer, Minimus? Would you like to trade? Or not?"
Minimus looked down at the ground and said. "No."
Asterios let go of the hilt of his greatsword and said. "You head left. I'll go right." He continued walking.
Minimus looked toward his specified direction and thought. "I'll head left, huh?" Minimus walked toward his specified direction. He heard Asterios's footsteps get fainter and fainter as he continued walking.
Minimus walked through the hallway and looked at the scenery around him. He saw black walls on both sides of him. Further down the hallway he could see doors along the walls.
Minimus stopped walking. He looked at the doors that were along the walls and thought. "Asterios said to cover more ground, right? So am I supposed to check every room?" He looked back as he said. "Asterios, do I-" He stopped talking abruptly.
Asterios was nowhere to be seen. His footsteps could no longer be heard either.
Minimus thought as he looked at the blank space behind him. "He's already gone?! How does he move so fast with his sword and armor?! Just how strong are you, Asterios?"
Minimus looked forward again. He looked back at the doors that were along the hallway and thought. "I guess I'll just search every room until I encounter Asterios again. Hopefully I don't encounter any of the armored soldiers again."
Minimus began to walk through the hallway again. As he got closer and closer to the doors that were along the hallway he began to feel a sense of anxiousness.
Minimus slipped the knife out of the bag. He held the knife with his right hand and the projectile shooter with his left hand. He looked at both the projectile shooter and the knife as he continued walking. He thought as he looked at both weapons. "Which one should I use?"
Minimus looked at the projectile shooter and thought. "Should I use this?" He shook his head and thought. "But I'm a swordsman." He looked at the knife and thought. "But this won't be able to cut through their armor." He looked at the projectile shooter and thought. "But this isn't a sword." He looked back at the knife and thought. "But this won't be able to break through the armor." Minimus looked up from the two weapons and thought. "Dang it! Which one do I pick?!"
Minimus looked around at the hallway and thought. "Where are the doors? Did I walk too far?"
Minimus looked behind him. He spotted two doors across from each other. He sighed as he looked at the doors and thought. "So, I did pass them."
Minimus turned around and walked toward the two doors. He walked toward the door which was to his left first.
Minimus stood in front of the door. He stared at the door with a confused expression on his face. He thought as he looked at the door. "How do I open this thing?" He looked at the door and thought. "No handle?"
The door was black just like the walls but was very clearly a door. The door lacked any sort of handle though. The handle was instead replaced by a technology that was unknown to Minimus.
Minimus stared at the door and thought. "This is the same type of door as before, right? How did Smith open it? Is there some kind of trick to open this thing?"
Minimus looked at the projectile shooter in his hands and then looked back at the door again. He thought. "Can I shoot it open?"
Minimus pointed the gun directly at the strange technology that had replaced the door handle. He pulled the trigger of the projectile shooter.
The projectile from the projectile shooter tore through the strange technology but the door continued to remain closed.
Minimus thought. "Do I shoot it again?" He pulled the trigger of the projectile shooter again.
Another projectile from the projectile shooter tore through the strange technology that had replaced the door handle. The door opened.
Minimus gazed into the room. The room was completely dark. Minimus thought as he gazed into the dark room. "Is there some kind of lantern?" He looked toward the ceiling of the dark room. "I saw a light in the room I was stuck in. Does this room have the same thing?"
Minimus felt a projectile graze by his head. He looked to the left toward the original direction he was walking towards.
Minimus spotted an armored figure. The armored figure wore black armor just like the armored figures he had seen before. The armored figure aimed their projectile shooter toward Minimus.
Minimus looked at his knife and then looked at his projectile shooter as he nodded. He dropped the knife on the ground and grabbed the projectile shooter with both of his hands. He brought the scope of the projectile shooter up to his eyes.
A projectile tore through Minimus's shoulder. Intense pain went through Minimus's shoulder as a result.
Minimus groaned and attempted to close his right eye. He pulled the trigger on the projectile shooter as soon as he saw the armored figure in the center of the scope.
The projectile flew out of Minimus's projectile shooter and struck the armored figure in the upper left section of their chest.
The armored figure remained standing and once again fired their projectile shooter at Minimus.
The projectile from the armored figure's projectile shooter grazed Minimus's neck.
Minimus thought as he stared at the armored figure through the scope. "He is still standing?!" He aimed the projectile shooter at the same spot as before and pulled the trigger again.
No projectiles came out of Minimus's projectile shooter.
Minimus looked at his projectile shooter and thought. "What is wrong? Why isn't it firing?"
Minimus looked at the armored figure who had their projectile shooter aimed at his head. Minimus thought as he stared at the barrel of the armored figure's projectile shooter. "I'm dead."
