All But One

Alkimos thought as he looked at the girl with blonde hair. "Zosime? That means survivor... What is she a survivor of?"

The girl with light blonde hair, Zosime, looked surprised as she heard the name 'Zosime'. Tears began to well up in her eyes. The tears fell down her face and hit the ground by her feet. She seemed surprised at the sudden tears that fell down her face and began to wipe them away with her hands.

The boy with dirty blonde hair said as his eyes were closed. "Change it! Change it right now!"

Nikator smirked mischievously and said. "Change it? Now why would I do that?" He chuckled.

The boy with dirty blonde hair opened his light green eyes and sat up. He looked at the tears streaming down Zosime's face and then turned his head and looked back at Nikator. He had an irritated, angry expression on his face as he looked at Nikator and said. "You know what happened, don't you?! So then why would you give her that name?!"

Alkimos thought as he listened to the boy with dirty blonde hair. "'Know what happened'? What does he mean by that? Did something happen to her? And how come I haven't heard about it?"

Nikator chuckled mischievously and said. "You want to know why I gave her that name?" He smirked and said. "Because it is fitting... Alastor."

The boy with dirty blonde hair had a look of surprise on his face as he said. "Alastor?! You know about me?!"

Nikator said confidently. "Did you think I wouldn't have information on my own subjects? He smiled mischievously and said. "Are you forgetting who I am?"

The boy with dirty blonde hair, Alastor, went silent.

Nikator pointed at the girl, with long, light silver hair that had light silver eyes, with his right pointer finger as he said. "A-"

Set interrupted Nikator mid sentence and said in a serious tone. "Stop! You can't name her, Nikator."

Alkimos thought. "What? Why can't he name her?"

Nikator said. "Huh?" He turned his head and looked back at Set as he said. "Why is that? I thought you were only interested in the Anomaly?"

Set chuckled mischievously as he said. "You think I have any interest in her?! Someone so plain and boring."

Alkimos thought. "Plain and boring?" He looked at the girl with long, light silver hair.

The girl with long, light silver hair's expression was unchanged. However, the girl next to her who had short light silver hair had an angry expression and looked like she wanted to cause an outburst but was holding herself back.

Nikator smirked as he replied mischievously. "If you think so lowly of her then why do you want to name her?"

Set said. "Want?" He chuckled mischievously as he said. "You think I want to? I just can't have you naming someone from an opposing region, Representative of the North."

Nikator chuckled as he said. "An opposing region? From what I've seen the Northern and Southern regions seem to have the friendliest relations with each other. So why is it that it is only people from the Southern region I can't name?"

Set tapped his right pointer finger against his armrest and said. "How fascinating! You're even suspicious of us deities." He chuckled mischievously and said. "Since you're so persistent I'll allow you to name them."

Nikator replied. "You changed your mind pretty quickly."

Set said mischievously. "I wouldn't want to be in bad relations with the new Emperor... that wouldn't benefit me at all." He chuckled.

Nikator continued to look at Set for a few extra seconds and then turned his head to look at the long, silver haired girl again.

He pointed at the short, light silver haired girl and said. "Phile Scarion." He then pointed at the long, light silver haired girl again and said. "Aikaternia Scarion."

Alkimos thought with surprise. "Two names back to back?!" He looked at the long, light silver haired girl and thought. "I understand why he named her pure. But..." He looked over at the short, light silver haired girl and thought. "Why did he name her to love? To love what?"

The girl with long, light silver hair, Aikaternia, said happily to Phile, the girl with short, light silver hair. "Sister we got named!" She looked at Phile and said. "Huh? Sister, are you okay?"

Phile muttered to herself. "Phile?" She blushed and turned beet red as she muttered to herself. "Why did he give me such an embarrassing name?"

Nikator pointed at the boy with the light blue hair who previously had a spear. "Olysseus Scarion." He pointed at the boy with light blue hair whose face was caved in and laid in the arms of the boy with light blue hair that had a sword strapped to his back. "Mardochaios Scarion." He pointed at the boy with light blue hair that had a sword strapped to his back. "Aias Scarion."

Alkimos thought with surprise. "He is barely giving us time to process it. He stopped saying the first name first and then the whole name. Now he is just saying the whole name and skipping onto the next person."

The boy with light blue hair that had a sword strapped to his back, Aias, muttered to himself. "Aias? I'm not sure if I should feel happy or sad. The only reason I got this name..." He looked at the boy with light blue hair, Mardochaios, who was in his arms and muttered to himself sadly. "Was because you died."

The boy with light blue hair who previously had a spear, Olysseus, muttered to himself. "I wanted a name like Father's! This name doesn't suit me at all! What is Mother going to think when she hears about this?!"

Nikator turned his head and looked at the remaining three participants in the stadium.

Alkimos also turned his head and looked at the remaining three participants in the stadium. Two were located in the sand pit and one was located on the Eastern side of the stadium.

The two located in the sand pit were right next to each. One was a girl and the other was a boy. The girl had black hair and stood in front of the boy. The boy had light brown hair and was motionless on the ground.

The one located in the Eastern side of the stadium was a boy with light brown hair, light red eyes, and wore silver armor.

Nikator pointed at the girl with black hair and said. "Iva Scarion."

The girl with black hair, Iva, had a confused expression as she said. "Life?" She then said to herself. "Because I will devote my life to His Greatness?"

Alkimos shook his head and thought. "I don't think that is it. I think it is because she is still alive after being shot by Adrastos."

Nikator then pointed at the boy with silver armor who was located in the Eastern side of the stadium as he said. "Minimus Scarion."

Alkimos thought with surprise as he looked at the boy with silver armor. "Least?! Why did he give him such a terrible name?!

Nikator pointed at the last participant. The boy with light brown who laid motionless on the ground and wore no armor. He said as he pointed at the boy. "M-"

Set said. "Wait, Nikator!

Nikator turned his head and looked over at Set as he sighed and said. "What is it this time? Did you want to name this one?"

Alkimos thought. "The boy on the ground and the boy who just got the worst name... they are definitely brothers." A memory appeared in Alkimos's head.

Nikator's voice echoed across the stadium as he said. "Participants, there are nine of you and one of him. Whoever beats this boy will get a name even greater than my own!"

Alkimos thought. "I remember him saying a name greater than his own? He named his brother least so does that mean he plans on naming him-?!"

Alkimos's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Set who said. "No. I'll allow you to name this one too." He disappeared from his seat at the top level of the stadium and reappeared next to Nikator's right side with his left hand on Nikator's shoulder as he said with excitement and mischief. "But let me wake him up first!" He walked toward the boy with no armor who laid motionless on the ground.
