Chapter 31: Thumping Hearts

Ashley's POV

He's the King of Gaein Academy. He's got it all. So obviously, he can have the best women out there.

Napailing ako ng ulo ko. I don't want to think about it anymore.

I don't know why but thinking that he really can have all the best women out there, my chest pained furiously.

"It hurts," bulong ko kaya naman natauhan siya saka binatawan ang mga kamay ko

Tumingin na siya sa ibang direksyon pero hindi pa rin nawala ang 'pained' expression niya.

He really is serious about it? Kaya ba nagalit siya nang sabihin kong napakalandi niya sa mga sinasabi niya sa akin?

"I believe you, Zac" sagot ko kaya naman tumingin na siya sa akin

I felt relieved seeing that his expression became gentler.

Eh? Why did I feel relief? Ano naman sa akin kung galit siya?

This is really so confusing. Being with this guy is so confusing.

"I'm starving," bulong ko kaya naman natawa siya saka nilabas ang car keys niya

"Let's go then,"

Pumara siya nang taxi't pinagbuksan ako ng pinto sa likuran kaya naman napa-shrug nalang ako't sumakay na.

Ang nakakapagtaka nga lang ay sumunod siya sa akin, sa likod din sumakay.

"Hey, bak—"

"You're so small, sa tingin mo ba sayo lahat ng space dito?" sagot niya kaya naman natahimik nalang ako't umurong

Nang makapasok na siya ay sinarado niya na 'yung pinto

"Saan po kayo, Sir?"

"Food District," sagot ni Zac kaya naman pasimple akong sinilip siya

Food District. Hindi ba siya natatakot na makita kami ng mga kauri niyang mga silver spoon – anak mayaman don?

"What is it?" tanong niya nang mapansin niyang nakatingin ako sakanya kaya naman agad ko nang iniwas ang paningin ko and not answering his question earning his deep chuckle

Following his deep chuckle was silence which was why I looked outside the window.

It's going to rain soon.

Nagulat ako nang bigla siyang may nilagay sa kamay kong nakapatong sa paa ko.

Medicine.

"I'm sorry," bulong niya kaya naman nabigla ako ulit at agad na tumingin sakanya

When I saw that he was looking outside the window with arm propped up supporting his chin, I smiled.

I felt warm and fuzzy inside. I don't really know what it is but I don't hate it.

Third Person's POV

What Ashley doesn't know is that Zac actually saw her smile through the reflection from the window which was why he was stunned breathless. It was his first time seeing her smile. And thinking that it was because of what he did.. his heart missed a beat.

The driver peeped at them through the rear view mirror for a second and then focused on the road again thinking to himself: 'What an innocent couple'

Two hearts thumping silently but to the owners, they thought it was so loud to the point where they were both worried others might hear it too.

Obviously, may kakaiba nang nangyayari sa relationship ng dalawang 'to.

Alice's POV

Seeing the taxi that stopped just outside the entrance of Ashley's apartment complex, I immediately stood up.

Tatakbo na sana ako palabas nung bumakas 'yung pinto ng taxi pero natigilan din ako kaagad nang nakita ko si Zac na lumabas don at pinagbuksan si Ashley ng pintuan – the hell, he even extended his hand to help her out – and FCKING HELL, Ashley accepted his hand as she went out of the taxi.

What the.. ano to? Scene sa isang movie?

"Gad, you guys have to see this! Guess who sent Ashley home!? Hurry! Hurry btches!" sigaw ko dahilan kung bakit nagmadali 'yung dalawang tumayo at nakisilip sa bintana

Ashley's room is actually located at the 8th floor – she rented the whole floor – all of the rooms there which is 6 in total. The first was hers, the second, third, fourth is for me, Kat and Tori, the fourth is for Hanah in case while the last one was specifically renovated into her very own personal gym.

Kaya naman nandito kami ngayon. She texted us to come and accompany her.

But while waiting for her, we didn't know that she'll surprise us with Zac's heavenly good looks that could possibly ruin countries!

Ghod.

He was even smiling at Ashley! I never actually thought that someone can smile so beautifully. He was particularly a god that blessed the earth with its holy good looks and presence.

As a part of the high class society, we saw more than just handsome men, gorgeous women. We never lose a dose of their heart fluttering auras.

But when it came to Zac and his friends. It's different.

They even beat those idols that top the charts today! What an unbelievable group of good looking faces and bodies!

"Oh my god, bakit magkasama sila? Talaga bang pumunta si Zac sakanya after naming mag usap? Nag-date ba sila?" tanong ni Tori dahilan kung bakit kumunot ang noo ni Kat

"Tingin mo ba may alam si Ashley sa mga detdet na 'yan? She might seem like she knows everything but we all know that she's still a virgin and has never even dated a boy before," sagot ni Kat kaya naman ako na ang napakunot ng noo

"That's rich coming from you Kat. Pare-parehas lang naman tayong mga virgin ah?" tanong ko kaya naman napahalakhak siya

"So? At least nagka-boyfriend na kami ni Tori. It means that we're your seniors when it comes to this thing, Alice. Kung may nahanapan ka nang lalaki, sabihin mo lang sa amin, we could use both normal and underhanded means to seduce him into loving you back," agad ko nang pinalo si Kat dahilan kung bakit sila natawa ni Tori

Napatingin naman ako ulit sa labas ng bintana para silipin sila Zac at Ashley. Nabigla ako nung nakatingin din pala sila sa amin kaya naman dali dali naming isinara ang bintana't nagsitakbuhan sa kama

"N-Nakita kaya nila tayo?" tanong ko kaya naman natawa silang dalawa

"I suppose so. Their senses are higher than ours so I guess they saw it," sagot naman ni Kath saka nag-stretching sa floor

"What should we do then?" tanong ko

"Of course, the usual" sagot ni Kath kaya naman nagtaka kami ni Tori

"The usual? What do you mean?" tanong ko

Sinundan ko naman siya nang tingin ng kumamang siya papunta sa may table ni Ash saka kinuha nag Death Note at isang blue ballpen saka itinapon sa akin.

Sht. Yung death note nanaman ni Ash. Itong Kath talaga. Ang lakas talaga ng loob niya.

"Let's interrogate her," sagot niya saka niya pinakita sa amin ang mga canine niyang mga ngipin at mga mata niyang kakaiba ang mga kislap
