Talking it out.

It was already evening when Min Ju-Eun and Wang Dae-Woong arrived at Yo-Han's floor. The rogue looking man had insisted on seeing Yo-Han the moment he landed in Country S. Though he's health had only improved a bit and he shouldn't have had a long trip, but for the sake of Yo-Han, he flew into the country the moment he received the news.

The two walked side to side with quick steps as they approached Yo-Han's ward. "You did not have to fly over, the doctor said it's nothing serious, you are not that healthy yourself, why did you have to..." Min Ju-Eun was interrupted as she expressed her concern to Wang Dae-Woong. The man halted causing her to do the same and turn to ask why he abruptly stopped but he flicked her words away with his hand gestures and reassured with a wide grin before teasing. "Aish, Ju-Eun, are you that worried about me?, I didn't know you cared so much about me... You should have married me back then if you cared so much."

Min Ju-Eun hissed and replied teasingly, "I told you I can't marry someone who will die soon and leave me as a widow. If you had more time maybe I would have considered it."

Her reply widened Wang Dae-Woong's grin. He enjoyed it whenever they both joked like this, he was assured that Yo-Han really must be in a good condition for her to be this warm, he really didn't have a need to worry. His smile broadened as Min Ju-Eun's love for Yo-Han tucked his heart. He wished he was a part of this small family.

"So you admit that at a point, you wanted to have me? That's good news enough for me to take to my grave then." He joked again and picked the journey. Min Ju-Eun shook her head at his joke as a smile painted her face. All along she felt a glare boring a hole into her but when she turned to it's direction she didn't see a thing. She shrugged, concluding that her perception is wrong and then continued walking and led Wang Dae-Woong to the ward.

Just after she left, Kim Hyun-Jun revealed himself from behind the pillar he hid himself early. His demeanor was so cloudy and apparently he was angry, maybe Jealous. "Who was that just now, they seemed so close, not just close, he wasn't flirting with her just now was he?". Kim Hyun-Jun was irritated by the thought and he immediately followed after them. Today he has to make it clear that she can't be given to just anyone. "She is min..."

He stopped in his track at the thought. 'You can't be selfish enough to claim her as yours are you?' His conscience spoke. 'Don't forget that you let go 24 years ago. Are you not married and blessed with three kids?'

"Shut up" he rebuked. "My love from 24 years is still strong. Did I for once forget her? No I didn't. I tried to find her, to take care of her but I couldn't. I had to resign and be responsible for the mess I made. But I didn't let go of that love. She was the one that occupied my heart every time. She is mine." He mentally noted. With that he continued his journey to the ward.

Min Ju-Eun and Wang Dae-Woong quietly entered into Yo-Han's ward and the sight of Yo-Han who was seated on his bed, completely lost as he stared at the sleeping beauty in front of him, welcomed them. Upon noticing his mother, he tore his gaze away from Dan-Bi to his mother and greeted her. "You are here?"

Min Ju-Eun replied with a smile as she placed the food basket on a table. "How are you doing, did you relax well?... Huh I see, Dan-bi came..." she smiled meaningfully as she approached him. "Did you guys talk? Did you settle all misunderstandings?"

"No, I just woke up and met her sleeping comfortably. We didn't have a chance to talk, but why did you want us to talk, I don't think she wants to talk, she must be here only because you asked her to come, right, she was mad at me the last time we met." Yo-Han's word suppressed Min Ju-Eun's happy expression. 'Why would I not want you to talk to her?, Yes I asked her to go to you but remember that it's a chance for you to clear all the misunderstandings between you, why won't I want you to talk? What I want is your happiness'. She held his hand and said, "Yo-Han, You can only know when you try to talk. The past, the present and the future, who knows how the other party will react to it? It's only when you talk it out that you know, don't bear the weight of your mistakes, talk it out."

Yo-Han sighed heavily, it was as if she read his mind, he didn't know how to relate to Dan-bi anymore, he had wronged her. Though it wasn't intentional, the fact remains that she was wronged. Yo-Han nodded to Min Ju-Eun. "I will talk then. I won't bear it alone. I will do as you say." He assured her.

"My my, what's with this mood all of a sudden?" Wang Dae-Woong spoke up. His presence had remained unnoticed until now. He glanced to the side at the relaxed young lady in the seat one more time. She had been his focus since he enter the room and after taking a mental scan, he nodded in satisfaction, 'She is fit to be the heir's woman.'

He walked up to Yo-Han who was surprised to see him. "Old man?, Why are you here?"

"To see my dear friend of course, why else will I be here?" Wang Dae-Woong took a seat at the other side of the bed and kept his gaze on Dan-bi. "What a pretty catch you have here." He paused and made an intricate scan of her face again. "She looks familiar..." He thought for a while and then smiled upon realizing who it is. 'This boy never gives up on love even after parting for almost six years?, He really takes after his father'. His mind flashed back to few minutes ago when he felt Kim Hyun-Jun's piercing gaze, he couldn't look directly but from his peripheral vision he could see the man fuming at their interaction.

"Well, How are you doing now?" He diverted the topic. "I heard it's a long time grudge. You do offend a lot of people and I am not surprised someone tried to get back at you. Just be careful."

The door to the ward opened and Kim Hyun-Jun strolled in he went straight to Yo-Han's side where Min Ju-Eun stood. He smiled in acknowledgement to Min Ju-Eun before turning to Yo-Han. "Son, how we you doing?" He reached out his hand and held unto Yo-Han's shoulders, "You should stay strong, and avoid conflicts from now on. Your mother is really worried about you. Leave the conflicts to me okay?, I will scare away whoever tries to lay a finger on my son, hmm? Be a good boy." He said with a smile. Yo-Han could not resist the urge to laugh to scorn. Who does not know what this father of his is driving at. 'Did you come here because you are scared mother will fall into someone else's hands? Why?, still in love with her?'.

Telepathy became something Kim Hyun-Jun understood, he grinned more to reply Yo-Han. 'Of course, Dad is worried. Unfortunately she doesn't know. She is busy paying pest like Won Tae-Soo and this rogue here more attention than necessary.'

'Unfortunately, this rogue and Won Tae-Soo stood by our sides when you weren't there.' Was Yo-Han's checkmate.

Kim Hyun-Jun's grin curved downwards. He straightened his back and reassured Yo-Han. "Don't forget, Dad is here now to stand by you. I will take care of the bullies from now on."

Min Ju-Eun chuckled at his unusual action. When did he become like this? Even Wang Dae-Woong could see through Kim Hyun-Jun's act. He scoffed inwardly, 'What a joke'

Dan-Bi who was initially not asleep could not keep up with her pretense. Earlier when she realized Yo-Han had woken up she pretended to be asleep. She also didn't know what to do or say in his presence. Now she's stuck in her pretense as Min Ju-Eun, this stranger and Yo-Han's father entered into the room. But with some strange stiff air radiating in the room, she couldn't keep up with this pretense.

She moved slightly and yawned before slowly opening her eyes. She jolted up and bowed to Min Ju-Eun. "Good evening, Mother... Ehm, I was a bit tired so I fell asleep", she also bowed to the two men respectfully. She took a glance at Yo-Han before she said. "Huh, I think I should leave, excuse me." She then headed for the door. Her acting was that perfect that Yo-Han couldn't help but giggle secretly. Did he not notice how she was staring at him before he sat up earlier?, he definitely notice her fake her sleep the moment he moved.

Min Ju-Eun immediately stopped her. "No, no, you don't have to leave. We are all leaving already, just stay here with him." She then nudged Kim Hyun-Jun and without even saying a word to Wang Dae-Woong, he understood her and followed her out of the room. The three elders left the room that moment, leaving Yo-Han and Dan-Bi in an uncomfortable and awkward situation. Dan-Bi stood there gazing everywhere except at Yo-Han.

Yo-Han himself wasn't comfortable with how awkward everything felt. They normally are not like this. They used to be best friends before they had other motives. Why then are they like this? He shook his head regretting one more time how he compromised. Though it wasn't the compromise that led to all of these but wouldn't it have been better if they did not compromise? But it's all done, what next should be done? ' Oh yes, I wanted to apologize.' "Dan-Bi" he called and she immediately darted her gaze to him, waiting for his next word. "I am sorry." That was the best conversation starter he could think of. He rose from the bed and strolled to her, positioning himself right infront of her, he looked directly into her eyes. "Lately I have had a psychological issue that made me mistake you for someone else. I know I can't put the blame on anyone but me, that's why I am sorry. I must have put you through pain" he paused as his voice began to sound hoarse from dryness, he then swallowed his saliva before speaking again. "Well, I am certain that you weren't even interested in me anymore after the series of events that unfolded the last few months but I still feel like apologizing to you for treating you like I did. I feel like I wronged you. I also want you to know that starting from our first quarrel till now. I didn't plan for things to go down south like they did." He stopped, feeling he was spilling out too much and then looked away. "Forgive me." He said and turned to leave.

'I think this is how things were meant to be. For once I haven't glanced the second time at another lady. It has always been you but I guess this is the end of me hoping one day you will definitely return to me. Gosh I thought I was that cool that no matter what you will keep running to my arms. Looking back now you never did. It was all my fantasies.' Words cannot express the sadness that clouded Yo-Han's heart. "Will I ever be able to smile again? This lady has always being the one to put down my barrier and break my defence before I even learnt to open up to others. I guess I have no choice but to shut myself out again and give up on having to smile." He whispered to himself but it was loud enough for Dan-Bi to hear.

He had only taken a few steps when Dan-Bi darted forward and grab his waist from behind. She embraced him hard, almost squeezing life out of him. "Idiot, why would you think I am no longer interested in you. Yes I tried to lose interest but I couldn't. I was only blinded by anger. You don't know this but I used to be very arrogant. Everything that happened depicts how arrogant I can be. That's my true self. You saw that and you still wish to have me?, Why then will I want someone else?... Yes yes I am really jealous and I don't want any one near my man, I can be really crazy if that happens but it's all because I love you isn't it?. Idiot" Dan-Bi began to sob as the words left her mouth, " How did those misunderstandings even begin?... Oh yeah, I was angry because you did not even try to put your trust in my father, you still wanted to get your revenge on him and also wanted to have me at the same time. If the truth didn't unfold, you wouldn't have had the heart to even forgive. Was I wrong for getting angry at you? I did what you would have done if you were in my shoes but why, why did you always have women swarming around you all the time? Why did you paint yourself as a player. I wanted to trust you but I still can't find a prove to deny the validity of every rumour about you. Even if it was just Yeo-Na trying to sow discord between us, I still couldn't let it slide. That's how I am... Maybe I overreacted... Maybe I acted over the line, rejecting all your advances to make things right... Maybe I am the guilty party... Maybe I caused all the misunderstanding..." She could no longer rant due to her dry throat and the tears that wouldn't stop gushing out.

Yo-Han was dumbfounded, he glanced at her arms that wrap round his stomach. His eyes was already misty and tears threatened to escape but he tried hard to suppress it. He placed his hand over hers, "Dan-Bi, You are not guilty. Like you said, it is I who always draw people's attention. I am the one who also could not forgive. I am also the one Guk Yeo-Na wanted that caused all these. I even scared you with my constant disturbance when you clearly needed a space. I frustrated you enough that you had to find someone else so as to keep me away. I blamed you falsely for destroying a project which was originally faulty. Thanks to you the fault was discovered. I was the one who let go when you kept resisting me. I was so hooked up with avenging my uncle's death that I couldn't find the time for us. I let go so I can fully focus on my revenge. I am to be blamed here." No, he couldn't help it, the tears forced itself out and rolled down his face. He freed himself from Dan-Bi's embrace and faced her, looking directly into her teary eyes. "Dan-Bi I already let go, should I asked for a second chance? I don't want to do that. I shouldn't have made this compromise in the first place." He stated and this shocked Dan-Bi. How can he say that?, Why will he say that?

"Why, why, why can't you ask for a second chance?" Dan-Bi yelled, and cried more. " Why did you let go initially, why don't you want to ask for a second chance?"

"See, see the degree of danger and chaos following after me, Initially, I didn't want you entangled in this world of mine but I just couldn't resist love. I compromised. See, see where that got me. I don't want to put you in danger. Look at Guk Yeo-Na, she is in a critical condition all because of me, what will happen to you if my other enemies get to know about you. Dae-Woong said it earlier that I offend a lot of people who knows who will strike next?, I can't put you in danger anymore."

"Bullsh*t" Dan-Bi cried, "Total bullsh*t, we are in this together already. You like it or not, I am not letting you slip off my grasp this time." She jumped into his embrace leaving Yo-Han speechless. "I don't care about any danger that comes your way. We will face it together and get over it together. I don't care what means you use, I will always agree with and stand by you. Please don't say no this time around." She cried more in his embrace.

Yo-Han sighed deeply. 'What should be done?'
