Letting go of the two decade old Burdens.

The small family had a celebration that afternoon.

Together, they were able to restore KimJin to Kim Hyun-Jun.

Kim Hyun-Jun returned home that night with an extra degree of caution towards his family. The moment he returned, he locked himself up in his study and refused to see any one of them.

It was only when Kim Myung-Hee came knocking that he finally opened the door. But he allowed only her into his study and shut out the twins who might have returned to seek favor in his sight or even plead on behalf of their mother. Whichever it is, he refused to allow them in.

Kim Myung-Hee stood in front of Hyun-Jun's mahogany desk and she wore a sullen expression. She wanted to speak but she was not sure of where to start.

When Kim Myung-Hee noticed her reluctance, he already knew what was on her mind. He stood up from his seat and walked up to her, patting her shoulder, he said "Do not trouble yourself."

"You haven't offended me and even if you do, Dad cannot get angry at you. As for your mother, I have made up my mind. You know very well that I will not change my decision right?" Kim Hyun-Jun wasn't expecting an answer, he just pulled her into his embrace and rubbed her hair until it was disheveled. "You have nothing to worry about. Whether your mother stays or not, it has nothing to do with you. You will remain my one and only princess, okay?"

She nodded her head slowly and glanced up at him. Her eyes were a bit dewy. She looked completely different from her image this afternoon, who knew that she could be like this? As she opened her mouth to speak her voice sounded hoarse. "What about the twins? Please don't punish them." She begged but her words only made her father erupt in laughter.

"Is that what my princess is worried about? Hahaha, don't worry, I have no right to punish them so I will not." Kim Hyun-Jun said.

His words confused Myung-Hee and she could not but ask. "Dad, what do you mean? You have no right to punish them?" She questioned.

Kim Hyun-Jun chuckled lightly and said to her, "I don't think there's a need to hide anything from you anymore, after all, the whole truth will be out in the open tomorrow." He opened a drawer in his desk and brought out a pen. He stood up from his seat and walked to a side of the wall. He pressed a button on the pen and a blue light shone on the wall. There a small black dot appeared on the wall. Kim Hyun-Jun pushed the black dot and the wall slid open revealing a large safe.

Seeing the secret compartment in her father's study for the first time Myung-Hee, out of awe, walked over to get a good view. She watched as her father completed the authentication processes and the safe clicked open.

It took some effort to pull the huge metallic door open. Unlike other safes, this one is a room on its own.

Kim Hyun-Jun walked into the secured room and searched through some shelves before he finally found the envelope.

"Here it is." He said as he returned to the study. He dropped the envelope on the table and gestured with his hand that Myung-Hee should check it. "Go ahead, have a look."

She picked up the envelope and pulled out a folder. It was written in front of it in bold lettering, "Paternity Test".

The two words written were enough to clear Kim Myung-Hee's confusion and she immediately dropped the folder out of fear.

Kim Myung-Hee did not want to see her paternity test result, she did not want to know that truth. She immediately bowed to Kim Hyun-Jun and said, "Father, I don't want to see this. I will leave now, goodnight."

Before she turned around, Kim Hyun-Jun grabbed her hand and said, "Silly Child... Come here. You are my daughter, 99.9% sure of that." He picked up the folder and pulled out the four documents in it.

Kim Myung-Hee received them and took only a glance at the result. After seeing Kim Do-Hyun's result she didn't bother checking Kim Do-Joon's. She immediately flipped to her document and the result was satisfying. The last document was that of Yo-Han. Judging by the date, it was done recently. She scrolled down the result and it was the same as hers. It made her smile to see that. She slowly placed the results on the desk and looked up to Kim Hyun-Jun with admiration.

"Father, you are a good man," Myung-Hee said. She couldn't but praise this man. He knew of his wife's misconduct but he never mentioned it. He knew that the kids she pushed at him were not his, but he still treated the kids as his own. Even though her mother's closet is dirty, he still decided to hang his stuff in there. Kim Hyun-Jun wanted to hand over all he had to the illegitimate kids not minding that they are not his blood. For more than two decades, he remained mum about his wife's little secret. If he acted rashly now, it isn't his fault.

She rubbed off the forming tears in her eyes and said to her father. "Even if I don't want my mother to leave, I will stand by you in this. I just hope that I won't be her channel towards bringing you discomfort. She is still the mother of your child, right?"

Kim Hyun-Jun's countenance dampened a bit. He took a few seconds to think about it. At last, he said to Myung-Hee, "You will not bring me discomfort. The most she will get out of me is her alimony. That's all I'll mercifully give, she can forget using you as a channel to get to me..." He let out a deep breath and said. "After tomorrow, you will get the right to be KimJin's successor. And about that name, we need to do something about it, your brother also has to change his surname, he should move in here, he should not be living alone..." He rambled on and discussed some of his plans with Myung-Hee before he finally let her go to bed at a late hour.

After departing with his parents, Yo-Han refused to return to the hospital and went home instead.

He was tired of the restrained life he had to live in the hospital.

Nothing could compare to the sense of freedom that welcomed him as he stepped inside the living room, he halted his steps as the air freshener hit his nose. He took a deep breath, to get accustomed to the familiar scent once again. The feeling of returning home made him energetic. The atmosphere was completely different from that of the hospital and he could finally make himself comfortable.

He took off his jacket and walked to the stairs, then he heard footsteps coming from beneath. He stopped climbing and turned to see. In this villa, aside from his butler who has access, he only allowed his three brothers to visit without informing him of their visit firsthand.

When the Butler noticed Yo-Han, he immediately recalled that he forgot to report the young Miss's presence. "Haa, Sir, forgive my forgetfulness, the young miss arrived just about an hour ago, Madam Min informed me beforehand so I let her in."

"Young Miss?... Mother, what is she doing?" He immediately stepped down the stairs and then he saw Dan-Bi in the dining room setting the table. 'What a sight, are we married or what?'. "Dan-Bi what are you doing?"

Dan-Bi glanced up immediately and smiled upon seeing his face. She did not even remove the mittens and apron but just walked to him like that. "You are back? Come, dinner is ready." She pulled and dragged him to the dining table and also helped him pull out the chair. He couldn't help but feel suspicious. He sat down and once again asked, "What are you up to?"

This time she did not avoid the question. She simply said, "Why else, I am here to keep your company, how can you be alone in this big space? Mother asked me to come."

"What's the big deal?" He asked and didn't wait for her reply before adding, "I know what my mom and you are doing." He sighed, "Dan-Bi I don't remember much about the past we shared but I am certain that I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to get anyone involved. From the moment I made up my mind to pursue revenge, I accepted that there would be prices to pay but it can't be you. What if that price is my life, what will you do after that? You should not stick to me like this. I don't..."

"Shush" Dan-Bi interrupted, "I have said it before, it's my decision. I am lucky to have you wait even after seeing how frustrating and arrogant I am. If it's not you then who would want someone like me? If you are going to be pushing away this time, why did you wait for me?... I don't care about how dangerous the journey would be, I am not as defenseless as you think and I will not be a burden to you. Even mother agrees with me."

Yo-Han resigned helplessly for he knew he can't change Dan-Bi's mind. Since she has made her decision and his mother even backs her, he won't be able to do anything about her. Once Dan-bi sees light at the end of the tunnel, she would run towards it without thinking twice.

He remained silent after that and quietly watched as she put food his plate.

Kim Hyun-Jun stepped out of the attorneys office and turned to the lawyer. "Since she already signed the papers, you should also get her to let go of her shares and the kids should do the same."

"Yes sir, I already prepared the documents, I will make sure it's done before dusk." The lawyer replied as he followed Kim Hyun-Jun to the waiting vehicle.

In a few minutes they arrived at the police station. The superintendent welcomed Kim Hyun-Jun and his lawyer to his office, he was unsure of the reason for the sudden visit.

"CEO Kim, why do you need to see me?" The Police Superintendent asked coldly. Unlike many other officials that Kim Hyun-Jun had met, Superintendent Ma never respects anyone, he never sucks up to people and he lives his life based on his policies. The stoic man had earned Kim Hyun-Jun's respect since long ago.

Kim Hyun-Jun chuckled. "Superintendent Ma, I am here concerning Jin Beom-Seok's case. I have a piece of evidence to prove him guilty of murder." He said.

The lawyer standing behind Kim Hyun-Jun placed a flash drive on the table. The superintendent did not reach for it, he just stared at Kim Hyun-Jun and said. "This is not part of my job, make a report and go through the normal process."

Kim Hyun-Jun expected as much, he shook his head and said. "Yes, I know you would be like this, but you would like to see everything that happened 16years ago won't you? Isn't that a case you tried so hard to solve when you were just a detective? You should be interested in knowing why you never found any clue about how the fire started and who did it."

The Superintendent frowned at Kim Hyun-Jun, he then reached for the item. After checking the contents, the superintendent sighed and turned to Kim Hyun-Jun, "The Kim family had this much evidence and yet you wait until now before stepping out? You obstructed justice for 16years, should I let go of that or alert the prosecution?"

Kim Hyun-Jun remained unmoved by the superintendent's threat. If he didn't find the evidence in the safe yesterday night while returning the paternity test result to the safe, would he have known that the evidence ever existed? He even found the original copy of the journal that Ron had planned to use against Jin Beom-Seok plus documents that can protect the Kim family in case the Jin family wants to implicate the Kim family but he had reserved that for a later strike.

Kim Hyun-Jun did not have time to spare for this old man today. He stated his defense plainly, "Superintendent Ma, I only found this evidence prepared by my father recently, if you would arrest anyone, go prosecute the dead." He rose to his feet, bowed to the elder, and excused himself.

When Kim Hyun-Jun left the office, Superintendent Ma took his time to check through the evidence again. He sighed heavily after the whole matter became clear to him. He even found out that the Sun and Lee families are connected to the case. He frowned again and thought deeply about how to prosecute the culprits. All evidence proves the Jin family to be guilty of the crime but the other two people can not be implicated that easily. After a while, he decided to indict the Jin family, sooner or later the other criminals will meet their end.
