"Kasuna and Kian."
Ms. Serah has poor judgment.
I don't really want to lead teams, but right now, if I didn't say that I will be the leader, I might just get dragged along her cocky attitude. I suggested being the leader.
"I'll be the lea-"
"No, I can take care of myself. Plus, I don't want to lead a man all by myself."
Then...
"-So there will be no leader. We'll work...together."
Together?
"Ah, okay."
I agreed without hesitation. I was forced to in a way. If I didn't say yes, then Kasuna would've thrown those dirty looks at me.
"All teams are to put on these vests and these clothing. We already got your sizes for the clothes, do not worry."
"What a creepy school," Kasuna muttered to herself as she walked towards to get her clothes from the clothing rack.
I too, went straight to the rack to grab mine.
Hm? These vests...
"Whoa, why are they so heavy?"
"What? They're not heavy for me! Guess I'm pretty tough, hehe."
"I'm assuming these vests differ by people?" Kasuna asked as if she had already guessed it. Seriously, she should be a detective or some kind.
"Yes, as you've noticed, there is a difference, some are heavy, some are not, depending on your 'skills'."
The clothes were the same clothing as Ms. Serah's. A military outfit. A rip off version of it I guess. It was easy to wear since it was just a camo jacket with camo cargo pants to snuck the jacket underneath. There was no need for any changing rooms.
"Is everyone done changing? Well, then, please grab the already charged paintball guns from the other rack. Here is the important part. The guns are fairly easier to use compared to the real ones. Pull the lever on top to charge, and push the lever down here to-"
As Ms. Serah was demonstrating to shoot the gun, Everyone stepped back from her as she pointed at one of the target dummies from about 10 feet away.
Bang!
"-shoot."
The sound was much smaller than the real ones, and the impact the paintballs gave was not that strong enough to break or harm the dummy, the paint just splashed onto it. They must've put in a lot of work into the force and the strength of these guns.
"That's enough explanation. I know it's hard for some of you guys to shoot a person, although it is fake, please give up right now if you are feeling mentally...Unstable."
There it is, the first test. Testing out our mental state.
Nobody raised their voice as a minute and a half passed by. Ms. Serah smirked and continued her talk.
"Shoot and knock out 5 people for each member of your team. There will be two separate games for each of you from your team to join. Decide who is going to go on the first game and second game."
I didn't mind, either way, so I let Kasuna decide.
"I'll go first, I can't trust you."
What does that have to do with going first in the first game?
"Okay then, if you're that confident."
"I have never called myself confident. I just think that you would need some guidance from me."
Yeah, what?
"Uh, okay."
"Gather up students for the first one, the game is about to begin in five minutes. People who are going up at the second game, please sit on the benches there. As you can see, we will hand out monitors and microphones so you can communicate with your teammate. Don't think that you weren't going to do anything and just rest up. The monitors are projected by mini cameras following around your teammate."
I took the monitor with me and Kasuna's name on it.
"Now, that the second game students are ready, we'll release you in... Ah, please remember that for one minute, you will not be able to shoot anyone. 10...9..."
Kasuna glanced at me with an "I'll try my best, but it's your fault if I lose" face.
I glanced back with "Try your best, it'll be your fault if you lose."
"3...2...1! GO!"
I'm going to sound extremely creepy, but this is getting nervous. It feels like I'm at the battlefield with Kasuna, I could see her running with her boots, the cold sand mixed with gravel touching each side of the boots as she ran to a wall o the side, where nobody was at.
"Hey Kasuna, can you hear me?"
Kasuna nodded her head. It seemed like the person on the battlefield couldn't talk while the one person on standby can.
"Okay, let's see, I can see you do any actions from the camera, so answer me in some kind of actions."
Kasuna raised her hands up to the sky, and the camera followed right on top of her hands. She moved her hands into directions, I tried to read her sign language.
"Don't...Or...Order..."
"Don't order me around..."
I wasn't. I was giving her Ideas she can answer me with.
"Okay okay, I won't. I'll just watch you on the monitor. Is that what you want?"
She nodded her head as a yes, and proceeded to crouch down on her knees.
Since I didn't have to do anything, continued to stay silent until the game has officially begun for the chaos.
