"The sleeping quarters of this air ship are located on decks E,F, and G. Deck G though is the quarters of all the private guests aboard the ship so if you are ever on that deck be courteous. You will be staying in Unit 24 of Deck F." Said V.C. Rene. Paul nodded along as they were currently in an elevator structure of some sort. "In total there are 7 decks, deck A are controls and administration work, Deck B and C is the cafeteria and recreation areas for all the workers and soldiers on the ship, D is for weapons and such as well as the infirmary room we were just in."
Paul looked outside of the see through elevator as they descended. "Where are we going now?" Said Paul not very sure what he was supposed to do and still a bit glum from everything we had heard.
"We will go and secure your living quarters. I will warn you in advance that crew get a very small unit and have to share that unit with another crew member. Then we will proceed with finding you a job to do. What kind of job did you do back in your time? It would help us decide where you might be the most useful."
Paul was a bit excited to have a roommate since he never got to have the college experience of dorms and had followed his heart to not pursue a college education "I was just promoted to a bartender in my time. I had only had the job for 4 months when this happened haha" he said with a bit of a sad and defeated chuckle at the end.
"I will try to find an opening in the cafeteria staff then though I cannot promise you anything." said the v.c. with her usual military voice though this time it had a nicer undertone.
There was a ding in the lift and they had seemed to reach the floor they needed. They alighted the elevator and started walking down the hallway. Like the rest of the ship it seemed very clean and modern but still uniform. Paul passed by many doors each having a weird kind of scribble on them. He then realized that those were probably numbers. "Excuse me, vice captain, I don't think I can read the numbers how will I be able to know which room is mine?"
The v.c. expecting this question said "The halo you have been given can guide you to your room. It will also give you lessons on the language and writing system of the P.F.V. Though since you are an adult ancient one we will not impose a schedule on you and it's up to you how fast you will learn." She came to a stop at one of the doors. "This will be your room now Paul. Hold your halo up to the metal pad on the side so you can be identified as an occupant of this room."
He put his halo against the tiny metal plate at the side one the door. Suddenly a hologram popped up displaying his profile:

[Name: Paul Grey Crassus]
[Affiliation: The People's Federation of Vaalbara]
[Residence: The Madonna, Deck F, Unit 24]
[Job: N/A]
[Account Balance: ********** (see/unsee)] (Author here I was thinking like you have a button if you want to see it or not)
[Special Notes: Ancient One]
Paul was a bit confused but could kind of get his head around the profile. The V.C. seeing his confusion said "We will now go up to deck A we will have your photo taken and job assigned. You can hide your account balance so other people can't see it. Though yours is currently locked until you complete your ancient one reintroduction to society course.
"Umm what is this course about exactly and where do I take it??" Asked Paul a bit worried. "You don't have to worry you just need to be able to atleast have an intermediate level of understanding the language, history, and writing system of the P.F.V. If you aren't able to complete it in 6 months you will have to be sent to a government training facility for ancient ones and won't be able to interact with the general public for 6 more months. I would hope you use the time given on the Madonna to your advantage. To answer your other question all your lessons are on your halo device you can work on them in your spare time aboard the ship."
They were already in the elevator lift once she finished the explanation. Paul was quite relieved by her explanation then a question surfaced "Um I have another question, I know that the ear phones let me know what you are saying but how can you understand me?" The vice captain without looking up from her halo replied "Those ear plugs don't only make you hear what we can say but also make your words come out in our own language they're a groundbreaking technology meant to help with communication with other countries as well as with ancient ones like yourself though after the course you will have to return them as they are or you may be paying for it for the rest of your life. It will all be explained in your reintroduction to society course."
Upon arriving on deck A the duo went to the admin office where they met Sergeant Heron who took a picture of Paul for his profile. "So your the ancient one we picked up in the wildlands huh. Nice to meet you." He was very friendly and energetic it made Paul a little bit nervous. The vice captain then said "Sergeant Heron I would like to assign a job to Paul preferably in the Cafeteria."
"Hm I'll see what I can do." Said heron as he looked at his halo scrolling through a list of some sort. "Oh it seems that the kitchen is in need of another dish washer apparently he got reassigned a few days ago to deck D for weapon maintenance anyways that's the only available job at the moment it the cafeteria, though we some other jobs if you would like to hear them?" Heron said with a smile.
Paul thought for a moment thinking well at least I'll have a job I'm familiar with. "No thankyou, I'll take the job as a dish washer. I'm already familiar with it anyways." Said Paul. "We will then update your halo." Heron quickly began typing on his own halo. When he was done he asked Paul to check his own halo to see if the profile was correct.
