Tami moved away from Bellamy, now unconscious. As he left, Bellamy's deputy captain ran towards him but stopped as soon as he met Tami's icy eyes.
"Take your captain and leave. If I have to hear that once again you have mocked, humiliated and beaten someone for no good reason, I will come and eliminate you personally. Are we clear?"
Everyone was shaking, especially the person who stood in front of Tami. "Silence means yes." He chuckled again and left.
Outside the city, Tami looked for Luffy and the others. "Ugh, but where did they end up? And then what was this fact of the island in the sky? Maybe I should have come here just before the end of the Alabasta's arc. I'm not understanding anything."
Tami stopped in his footsteps and I look up at the clouds. "The island in the sky ..." Then he smiled. "If it really exists, then all the more reason I want to join Luffy. On the other hand, is the protagonist of the story. If he doesn't do the best adventures, who has to do them?" He chuckled.
He climbed a tree and sat on a branch where he could look at the sky and relax.
After about an hour he decided to go back to find the boys. Suddenly he stopped, he had an empty look on his face.
"I feel stupid ... I could have tracked them down when I wanted and yet I didn't think about it. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really a God, being so stupid. SIGH"
So Tami closed his eyes and tried to find them. It only took a second. He opened his eyes and realized that they were not far from where he was and ran.
He arrived in front of the house he had seen already seen the day before. "What are they doing here?" He wondered and immediately walked towards the door. He knocked and immediately a voice was heard. "Come in!"
Having received permission, he entered and found Luffy's entire crew, plus an unconscious man lying on a bed.
Nami immediately remembered who he was. "Hey, you're the guy we saw at the bar, right?" At this point, everyone looked at him with a hint of amazement, except Luffy and Zoro.
Tami turned to her and smiled. "Yes exactly, my name is Tami, pleasure!"
"Um .. I'm Nami, my pleasure." Then Zoro intervened. "Why did you save us at the bar? You didn't have to." He said diffidently but in a calm voice.
"Oh, you're wrong. I didn't save you." From this response Nami was confused. Then he continued. "I just got tired of continuing to see that sad show. I didn't intervene to save you, you didn't need it. You could have easily defeated him if you only wanted to, weren't you?" There was silence for a moment. "Besides, I wanted to talk to Bellamy."
"Why are you here?" Zoro asked again. Tami took back his smile. "At the bar, I heard you want to go to Sky Island, right? Well, I want to go with you!" Tami smiled at 32 teeth.
All of them were surprised by this request. Zoro got up from where he was sitting. "What makes you think you can join our crew?" Tami continued to smile stupidly.
"Who said I want to join your crew? I just said that I want to go with you to see Sky Island. After we return, I can also go my own way. "
Luffy immediately intervened. "All right!" His companions looked at him in amazement. "Can you come with us!" He ended up showing his iconic smile. "What are you saying, you idiot!" Nami yelled at him, also hitting him on the head.
"Do you want to bring someone we don't know just because he asked us to?" She continued. "Yes, why? What's wrong? " He asked stupidly. Tami, meanwhile, continued to sport a calm smile. Nami finally gave up but said something that shocked Tami a little.
"Okay, but you'll have to pay 100,000,000 berry!" "What?! But they are a disproportionate figure!! I haven't got them!!" So Nami changes her mind.
"Then you'll pay me once the trip is over, but you'll have to pay double!" At this answer, Tami opened his jaw wide. Eventually, he gave up and sighed, unable to do anything against Nami.
"My name is Monkey D. Luffy and I will be the pirate king! SHISHISHISHI!" Tami laughed heartily and said. "All right. Thanks for this opportunity, future king of pirates!" In turn, they all introduced themselves to the boy in front of them.
"I'm Usopp, the greatest warrior of the seas!"
"My name is Chopper, I'm a doctor." Tami smiled and said. "I bet you're the best doctor around, right? With the future pirate king, you can only be the best." Upon this statement, Chopper blushed.
"Don't think you can make me happy with just a few compliments, you fool!" He danced, showing exactly the opposite. Tami laughed. "That was exactly what I wanted to see." he thought to himself.
"My name is Zoro, I'm a swordsman." It simply showed up
"And my name is Robin, I'm an archaeologist."
"My name is Sanji and I'm a cook."
"Nice to meet you all. Please take care of me! "
"judging by the slightly surprised faces they did when Nami she had remembered that I was in the bar, she must have perhaps told them about me. Not bad, maybe this way everyone will accept me much more easily, even if Zoro ..." He thought to himself and then looked at the latter, who continued to look at him with diffidence.
"Being the unofficial "first officer" of the crew it is right that, instead of Luffy, he should be careful of everything. I think Zoro is a great person." Tami thought to himself.
"Poor thing, though, now you have to keep an eye on both me and Robin." Outside he looked calm, but inside he was laughing like crazy.
Then Tami looked at the unconscious man lying on the bed. He was a muscular man who seemed to have reached middle age, with blond hair and a large chestnut on his head. Wear dark purple trousers with a vertical white stripe and a rope that supports them. "And who would he be?"
"We do not know. He attacked us when we arrived and then passed out." Nami replied.
"He has decompression syndrome." Chopper said immediately. "It is a disease that affects many divers. When diving and ascending too fast without compensating, there is a risk of dangerous bubbles forming in the blood and, if they reach the heart or brain, they can cause muscle paralysis and in some cases even heart failure." He always finished.
Tami looked at him a little sorry. "I hope to recover soon."
Suddenly two large monkeys appeared from the entrance. One wore a yellow dungaree with "MASIRA" written and a brown shirt under it. He also had headphones.
The other had very long green hair reaching the ground, she wore a black shirt smaller than her size. He also wore a green jacket and a hat of the same colour with a Jolly Roger drawn. At the waist, he has a belt that supports a pair of red trousers.
""Cricket, how are you? All right?"" They both asked at the same time. Usopp and Chopper were running around the house in fear. The two monkeys looked at us. "And what are you doing here ?!" "What did you do to poor Cricket ?!" The two always asked.
"Nothing. We are actually treating him since he felt bad. " Usopp looked at him. "It is useless, so they will never understand. They are two stupid and ignorant apes! They came here to kill us. We have to escape! " While Usopp was crying with fear, the two monkeys were crying with joy.
After a while, Tami and Luffy's crew discovered that Cricket's house is the basis of the Saruyama Alliance, made up of Masira, Shoujou and Cricket. Luffy immediately made friends with the two.
Tami was close to Zoro and Usopp. The first decided to speak.
"Of course your captain is a strange guy." Usopp could only agree with him. "Who knows how he manages to get along with those monkeys ..." he muttered. "Maybe because they have something in common." Zoro intervened.
"Maybe because Luffy's surname is Monkey." Tami speculated with a smile, seeing the scene of those three. The two next to him began to think the same.
Chopper suddenly came out the door and said that Cricket had woken up. We all went in to see. Luffy, without waiting any longer, asked if he could ask him something. Cricket was smoking a cigarette. He did not answer and spoke.
"I was wrong about you. I thought you were the usual bunch of nuisances looking for gold nuggets." Nami's eyes shone with Berry. "Come on, talk! What do you want to ask me, kid?"
Luffy stepped forward and said. "We are trying to reach the island in the sky. Do you know where it is?" Cricket looked at him out of the corner of his eye for a second and then laughed. "Don't tell me you really believe this nonsense. AHAHA!" Nami was about to hit him but was stopped by Usopp.
"So the island in the sky doesn't exist. Is that so?" At this question, Cricket was silent for a moment. "I don't know. However, I know someone was really convinced that it existed, but unfortunately this someone was considered only a liar and, consequently, his descendants are too."
Both Tami and Luffy turned to face Usopp, who got angry.
"This is a very famous legend of the North Sea: 'The legend of Nolan the liar'" Tami and Luffy looked at Usopp again. "Don't you think I'm a liar too?" Then look at Tami. "You too, why are you looking at me? You do not even know me!" Tami shrugged. "Instinct, I guess."
"Yes, I know that story too. His name was Montblanc Noland. Your name is Montblanc too, right?" Sanji intervened. Soon after, it was Nami who spoke. "So if you're his relative, it means that the facts took place here 400 years ago." Cricket nodded.
"Yes exactly. I am his distant descendant. The thing is still annoying, even if very little of my blood flows in my veins, people continue to consider me a liar.
After that, the Montblanc family was expelled forever from the kingdom and continued to live in shame and dishonour. Despite this, none of us have ever felt a grudge against Noland." Chopper intervened. "Why?"
"Because he was one of the best and most honest people in the world. Do you know what Noland's last dying words were? "Believe me! There is a huge amount of gold buried under the sea!" On the book, they drew the face of a madman, but I know he uttered that phrase in tears, asking for forgiveness from the king and hoping to be believed.
The island they landed on was undoubtedly Jaya, where Noland had found the ruins of a magnificent city full of treasures! Not seeing the city anymore, he tried to explain that he had disappeared into the sea with his treasures following an earthquake, but everyone thought he was telling the umpteenth lie, so he was executed under the eyes of the whole kingdom and he did not remain other than the image of a liar."
Usopp then spoke. "I get it! You are looking for the famous treasure hidden at the bottom of the sea to redeem the memory and honour of your ancestor! " "Do not be silly!" Cricket fired a gunshot over his head, making him cry with fear.
Tami, like everyone else, was surprised and whistled.
"As honest and courageous as my ancestor may have been and for how many adventures he has lived, I have nothing to do with him! Do you have any idea what it means to bear his name?! Do you have any idea of the abuses I had to suffer just because Noland Montblanc existed 400 years ago?! You can't even imagine it!"
"Heck, he must be furious." Tami thought to himself, sorry for what the man had to pass in front of him.
Eventually, he said that he had become a pirate to escape from his homeland and understood that he could not escape from his curse after he ended up on this island. He also said that Masira and Orangutan are fans of the book of Noland the liar and therefore wanted to help Cricket. The two brought a breath of joy in the monotonous routine of his life.
"So basically, Sky Island we want to reach could bring the treasures that were on this island, right? Is the golden city up there?" Tami asked
"Maybe yes." Nami replied calmly, with berry instead of eyes.
"Do you want to tell me how to reach Sky Island?!" Luffy asked impatiently, tired of the Cricket story. The latter chuckled at his insistence.
"I have already explained it. He who claimed the existence of Sky Island was Noland the liar." Then he took a book and leafed through it.
"So he also went to Sky Island?" Cricket shrugged. "I don't know. It's not written here." Then Nami took that book, which was a logbook and read it. Noland had purchased a Waver: a vessel capable of generating the wind by itself. He also read that this boat is produced only on the island in the sky, where there are other particular and unique objects. The diary also spoke of a very strange fish that they saw. Sanji was attracted to this latter information.
In the meantime, Cricket left the house.
"So at least now we have some more chance that this island in the sky really exists. I can not wait to go there!" Tami happily exclaimed. The others shouted for joy.
"Okay, I spend time in the forest, I'll be back tonight. Please don't leave without me!" The latter said imitating puppy eyes. "As if we could leave by tonight!" Nami screamed at him furiously. Tami chuckled and left for the forest.
"I really like the forest. There is tranquillity, which cannot be had with Luffy and the others. AHAH!" He said laughing.
He found a quiet place to lie down and rest. When he awoke it was night. A blow came to Tami. "Damn! I think I'll be late, although, as they said, they still can't leave for the island in the sky!"
Then he stopped abruptly and saw a strange bird resting on a branch. It had purple and green feathers on the body and orange on the head. Although his body was pointing in one direction, his head was turned to another. Tami's eyes lit up.
"Of course! To make up for it, I will bring this bird to eat it!" The bird, who heard what he said, was frightened and flew. "Hey, where are you going? Come back here! I'll get you to cook from Sanji! You will become a delight, trust me!"
The bird went a strange verse and after a few seconds of the wild boars chased Tami. "What do you want? Go away! Today my prey is that bird, not you! Next time you will be next, get in line!"
The boy hit all the boars that came towards him, knocking them out. Once out of the way, he chased again the bird, which was now flying further away.
"Hey, stop! Where do you think you're going?!" Tami screamed, tired of all this. "I just want to eat you. What's wrong?!"
From the trees in front of him, a huge bear appeared. "What the hell?! Are you looking for trouble, bear of my boots ?!" He screamed scowling
The bear ran towards him with the intent to kill him. "Yes, sure, as if you could, ugly bear!"
The animal went on two legs to attack him, but Tami was faster than him and kicked him in the chest, making him crash into the trees.
"Now to the two of us, you stupid bird!" Tami ran after him, jumped on a tree and managed to catch the bird in flight.
"I got you, finally! I can't wait to eat something cooked by Sanji. Ihihih! " The bird was frightened, trying to escape from his grasp, but it was all in vain. He was about to make his strange verse again, but Tami closed his beak with his hand.
"I'm sorry, but the games are over for you. Just give up. AHAH!"
Tami came to the front of the house and opened the door. "Here I am, guys! I'm sorry I was late, but I brought something to make up for it!"
Everyone there was shocked, seeing what he had brought. Nami jumped on him. "You've been very good! Now that we have the Southern Bird we can navigate the Knock Up Stream without problems!" Tami, who was initially happy with the compliment, was then confused, not understanding anything he was saying.
He put his hands on his hips and laughed. "Hahaha! Don't even mention it! On the other hand, I also want to help! Hahaha!" In order not to look bad, he pretended to know what he was talking about.
Then Cricket spoke. "Perfect! Now that you have the Southern Bird you should have no problem navigating the Knock Up Stream."
