Jackie Spade

I have a book on Amazon titled Jackie Spade by Evalyn C. Bennett. It's a collection of my poetry! I know, the poetry you typically read in English class is usually kinda boring, but I promise you'll love mine! Here's an example of one of my poems in Jackie Spade:

Live it up

To the fullest.

Bring your heart.

It's not foolish

To think something is beautiful

When it's broken,

It's true.

To think something's beautiful

When it's shattered

Like you.

Live it up

to the fullest

Look up to the sky and say,

"It may seem foolish,

But I didn't hate myself today!"

Oh, live your life because it's ruined.

Don't worry about your pain.

It hurts, but it's better

Than living in the shame

Of never taking chances

Or never taking a breath.

You may want to die now,

But you never wanted death.

Live it up

To the fullest.

Broken and in sin.

You will feel clueless

Without a shadow of a doubt,

But when you're naive,

You never have that cloud.

The cloud of knowledge.

It follows you around.

You crave it,

Thinking it won't bring you down.

But the more you feed it,

It will grow heavy with pains,

And rain will fall

And dance around our tear stains.

So, Live it up

To the fullest.

Let the sky take your breath away.

Look into yourself

And say, "The world is ending itself.

Its pain is too much,

But I love it for how it is,

No matter who I was.

I will sing my heart of glory

And hug the hatred too,

The pain and the sorrow

That you have put me through."
