Harlee POV
Ash's venom slid down my throat in a sickening rush that had me swallowing desperately to keep up so I wouldn't choke. This was nothing like Ash's usual seduction, slipping me slow mouthfuls of pure liquid sex. This even had Ash terrified, eyes wide, mind panicking, trying to tear free from me. I felt Ash's venomous fangs extend and Ash nicked my lip lightly.
"No!" Ash yelled, the sound muffled muffled as they ripped their lips from mine.
"Oh come now, have you never directly injected your venom into your Mistress? After you've spent so much time brewing such a special blend for her, catered just to her biology.." The Prince tsked. He slid his hands down my arms, sliding one shirt sleeve off my shoulder. Ash's venom dripped from their teeth, a wild look in their eyes. I could feel the fighting happening in their mind. They were going to rip themself apart!
'It's ok Ash.' I sent in my mind. The venom was already affecting me anyway, and I could hear myself moaning, my vision getting hazy as my thoughts tried to scatter. 'Don't hurt yourself, please, just do it.' I urged. If one of us had to die, at least it wouldn't be Ash.
'No!' Ash yelled back, fighting back harder. I could feel Ash's form slipping as the two wills battled within them.
'Ash! Do it! Now!' I ordered and invoked their True Name. Ash struck, venomous fangs sinking into my shoulder deeply. Ash purposefully missed all blood supply and buried their fangs in my muscle tissue.
'To buy you time.' Ash whispered tearfully through my mind. 'try not to move too much to avoid absorbing it quickly. This won't kill you Mistress, but I'm not sure what the Prince has planned for such a near-lethal dose except...' Ash jerked the thought away from me quickly as their lips and hands suddenly started running over my body, slowly undressing me. Ash was fighting so hard inside their head, and I was nearly out of it, but I was able to see one thing Ash couldn't.
'Ash.. Zeev's gone.'
Zeev POV
Ash's struggling gave me the perfect opportunity to step right to the Angel's side and then straight to Sam and Sands. Sam was incensed. He slammed a hand on his desk.
"Which Prince?" He roared and I told him. "Why didn't you or Harlee call?" He yelled.
"I did, she couldn't." I answered.
"Shit! He must be working.."
"With one of the other Princes. Yeah, exactly what I though too. But it gets worse Sam." I threw the memories at him and Sands. They both recoiled. "I just hope I didn't walk into a trap. Because we gotta go."
"What of your son?" Sands asked quietly. I turned to reveal Cael in a baby sling on my back. Sands burst out laughing. "Are the straps hidden under your jacket? You vainglorious creature?!" Sands cackled.
"I'll have you know, I had this jacket custom made." I responded. Sands laughed harder.
"Not time for your foolishness!" Snapped Sam.
Harlee POV
I was panting heavily, completely lost to lust now. My mind was barely function, all I could concentrate on was my need, and I felt it echo in Ash. Ash was moaning almost as hard as I was, as we slipped to the floor.
"Harlee.." Ash panted "I'm sorry!" Ash pulled my ankles up to rest on their slim shoulder. "This isn't me.." Ash moaned, but I could scarcely pay attention to what was being said. I just needed them. Now. I needed the horrible throbbing to stop. Needed that place soothed deep within. I needed Ash to touch me, and I knew I was rocking my hips and making silly sounds instead of words as I reached for Ash and tried to bring their arousal closer to me, force them to soothe the ache their venom had caused.
"I'm sorry Harlee." Ash sobbed, and then fell mute, but the Prince couldn't stop the cool, salty tears from dropping onto my skin as Ash hovered over me, preparing to enter me. Only I couldn't wait, so I yanked Ash down to me, forcing their lips to mine, drawing their body closer. With a gasp, Ash slipped within me and arched backwards like a puppet on a string. The Prince took up a stance behind Ash.
"Very good little Incubus. Very good. Now, pass along this gift for me, would you? I find the whole process tedious these days. Though, with this one, I do intend to have some fun later." The Prince chuckled. Ash seized and bucked, making me writhe as the Prince held a hand to Ash's thin chest. There was a brief flash and he let Ash go then waved a hand. "Resume-you know what to do." Ash bucked again and then fell on me with a fevered look in their eye.
'Harlee!' I felt the keening wail in our heads as Ash suddenly picked up a furious inhuman pace, thrust, withdraw, no seduction, no emotion, like a machine. My body reacted regardless. I screamed out, clutching Ash's sides, digging into the flesh and begging Ash for more. The Prince chuckled.
"Yes Ash, give her more, share my little gift of life with her." The Prince purred beside Ash's ear as Ash struggled, shaking their head from side to side in jerky motions as if trying to clear it. Ash stiffened and their hips jerked a couple of times as they climaxed, but there was something else. A panicky look in Ash's eyes that helped clear some of the fog from my brain. There was a brief flash of light between us, and I felt something else. Something white hot entered me that seemed to bind itself to me, tangling with my insides and refusing to let go. A dull throbbing started almost immediately in time with my own heart. I looked at Ash and we shared a panicked look.
Zeev POV
"I think we're too late." Sands said softly as we reappeared in the living room. I had been right, Hell was a trap. It took all three of us, plus the Angel to take down the Prince that was waiting for us, and even then it was more of a 'beat him unconscious and run off' affair. Though Sam desperately wanted to end the extra Prince, we just didn't have the time. I was clutching my shoulder and breathing hard, my shoulder had nearly been dislocated and it was killing me, but the sight of the Prince hunched over sh and Emma's nude figures on the kitchen floor sent me into a rage. Especially when their terrified minds touched mine. And Ash, oh Ash was almost ripping themself apart trying to resist. I let out a roar and raced forward.
"Zeev!" Sands yelled while Sam cursed. The Angel raced forward with me, sword drawn. The Prince turned with a simple, infuriating smile on his face.
'Angry people make mistakes!' Harlee shouted I my mind, and too late I saw the sword pointed at me. The Prince swung the sword up and brought it down across my chest, splitting me open from shoulder to hip. Harlee and I screamed. Ash joined a second later. Sands caught me before I hit the ground, but it wasn't me I was worried about. Even as my vision turned dark, it wasn't me passing out-it was...
"Harlee!" I croaked. Everyone turned to look at her as the Prince dropped the sword.
Harlee POV
"How-but.." The Prince stammered.
"Fool!" Sam hissed, suddenly appearing behind him, driving his own sword through his stomach. "Do you listen to none of the information passed around? Those two share a soul. You kill him, you kill her." Sam threw the Prince's body to the floor and knelt beside me.
"Sands-this is going to take an Angel." Sam called out, he gripped my hand, eyes never leaving mine. I felt my consciousness fading again.
"Harlee, please don't leave us." Sam pleaded. "Please hold on." He begged and leaned forward to kiss me on the forehead. There was flash of light and Sam recoiled, tossed to the side. He held a hand to his lips.
"I didn't think I had any Grace left." He said softly as Sands hovered over e. My eyelids were so heavy.
"Love you guys." I whispered, letting my eyes slip closed.
"No Harlee. You're not getting away from us that easily. I'm an Angel of Death. I decide who's going and hen, and I say you're staying HERE." Sands' hands closed on my chest and I felt a burn that couldn't be quenched. My eyes jerked open and I screamed.
"It's burning Sands!" I shouted at him and he gritted his teeth.
"It was a corrupted Angel Blade. Who knows what Poisons it held." Sands spat.
"It's.. my blood.." The Prince gasped and then grinned a bloody grin. Sands cursed, which I would have said something about, but I lost touch with reality for a while.
