The infinite Tsukuyomi was shattered as soon as I killed Kaguya, but the tree roots were still holding everyone in a stasis-like state, which was perfect for me.
I used a modified version of my Soul search spell, Wide soul search, which is basically a costlier version affecting a wider area but needing unresisting targets. So the fact that the shinobis were unconscious was a boon. (AN: I know, my naming sense sucks haha)
I used around five days to browse through the memories of all the comatose shinobis, not wanting to miss out on an unknown guy with a powerful hidden inheritance.
If I had to rate the overall memories using one word, then it definitely would be: dark. The manga was clearly more of a teen-friendly version, which made me more convinced in a sentence I read countless times in the past: You need strength to survive.
I was a bit more philosophical that day since Alfred was still learning the use of certain words in the language and asked me quite a funny question: if someone is slapped with a dictionary, would it be considered physical or verbal assault?
As expected, I got the highest amount of ninjutsu out of Kakashi, the greatest amount of Taijutsu experience from Guy, medical ninjutsu from Tsunade, the lightning cloak from the Raikage, Naruto's shadow clone jutsu and Rasengan and it's variants as well as his experience with them. I also gained Onoki, Mei and other Kekkei Genkai/Tota users' proficiency and tricks in using their elements.
Orochimaru was the biggest treasure trove of information since I mainly lacked knowledge about genetics and the influence of different factors on the body structure, which was more than a hobby for that snakehead. I had to remove quite a few 18+ moments with young boys though.
It took me around a week using one of the biggest cheats in Naruto, tajuu Kage bunshin (multiple shadow clone jutsu) to work on the memories and gain practical knowledge and better proficiency using them. Prana was considerably boosting the power of my jutsu so I also had to work on my control. It was quite a sight to see thousands of my clones running up a waterfall.
I'm confident I had the biggest repertoire of Jutsu in the elemental nation. (I'm sure I would have had gained a Title if there was a system)
Anyway, I was ready to 'save' the shinobi world. I destroyed the tree, released them from its roots and cast wide-ranged healing spells while flying in True Sage mode. First impressions were important after all.
Looking at the confused shinobis that gradually rose from the ground, I didn't feel any guilt about browsing through their memories. I saved them in return after all.
It was funny how they believed I was a saviour sent down from Heaven to punish the evil goddess.
It took a few months for them to gradually begin to recover as I sent a few clones to travel to each main village as well as to famous sites around the world, sight-seeing while tasting various delicacies and doing a bit of research.
In the meanwhile, as I was staying at Konoha as a guest of honour, I was able to 'borrow' their scroll of forbidden jutsu to study the famous Hiraishin. It took a while but I was able to customize it for my use with the Fuinjutsu knowledge my clones found in the remains of Uzushiogakure.
I was intrigued by the use of Kanjis and studied the intricacies of the art while comparing it to Runes. As I found out, Kanjis used in Fuinjutsu were specialized in sealing/releasing objects, energy and living being which can be used in specific manners such as sealing, summoning and barrier techniques.
On the other hand, Runes were more of a jack-of-all-trades in the sense that they could be virtually used for everything such as cleaning (I had inscribed a Cleaning rune on my clothes to always be neat) and even more so for complex runes sequences such as Heat-Stir-Flip-Time adjust-Cool-Clean which I used on a pan to cook perfect stir-fried dishes. (I think it was sold somewhere in an auction as a legendary artifact on my home planet)
Runecrafting and Fuinjutsu had differences but also had quite a few similarities. Both required good, precise calligraphy as well as energy-infused ink to be successfully inscribed. They also needed to be activated by an energy source, and the effects of both depended on the amount of energy used.
So I naturally tried to use both of them to create a better effect, which almost blew the building I was in, till I teleported it to a random part of the ocean one of my clones marked near the land of water. Despite the few hundreds following failures, I still persevered and found the crux of the matter was in how you linked them. Linking runes and specific energy conducting Kanjis had to be between every Rune and Kanji to show a synergetic effect.
It was a bit troublesome at first to find the required sequences that worked, but the final results were definitely worth every effort (and explosions). I tried the first experimental Kanji-Rune mix, which was the basic sequence of Ignition-Shape retention-Projection runes used for a regular fireball while using a Seal-Transfer-Release Kanji seal to empower it.
The end product was a Nature-Chakra absorbing fireball that grew in heat and size while increasing in speed till it either hit the target or was overloaded, which had the same effect in both cases, complete destruction. That tall rocky mountain I used as a testing ground evolved to be a hill-sized sludge of lava.
I tried to enact the same thing with Spell matrixes and hand-seals but discovered that the latter were quite inferior in energy-usage and efficiency while having greater speed, and since I had Alfred to instantaneously cast spells, I decided to stick to the former.
So I had to convert all the jutsu I classified as important to spells, which took around five months even with many clones and Alfred as an assistant. Their effect also increased while keeping the same energy consumption, which showed greatly on my shadow clones since now they could resist at least seven to ten civilian's punch before popping.
It took me around three years to finish all of my projects and to have my clones travel the whole world. From the memories I gathered when they popped out, they left quite a few happy ladies on their wake. I had a good researching team.
I was happy to have reached a 99% fusion rate of Prana, but I couldn't quite break the last 'wall' yet, so I left a few of my Hiraishin marks and decided to leave the planet.
Fifty years later, I discovered that the simple 'wall' I thought it was, was surely the face of a shameless fellow since it was thicker than a city wall. (AN: see the pun here? 😉)
I was sure that the solution lay in the step after 'one with the world', the 'unification of mind and body' stage. This theory was reinforced by Alfred's who explained that I needed a pressure great enough to compress and fuse my body and soul and their respective energy to reach 100%.
So I used my Tenshingan to see the true 'way' to accomplish my path, which pointed to one of the monstrous entities of the universe that screwed both space and time, a Black Hole.
