His First Enemy

Last night was a surprise, Buchou suddenly appeared inside my room while naked and start to tease me. Then a hot maid came and started to bad mounting me because of Buchou.

But the most surprising thing is my twin Iva. I never thought that she could become so cruel. When she suddenly teleport at my room and threatened the maid. I couldn't do anything but frozen in fear. The air at that time is so suffocating and my body screaming to run away from Iva.

Then I saw Iva's sad face, my heart clenched. She looked like she has lost hope to the world. Her awkward smile after the conflict that tried to comfort me, sting even more.

I then truly realized that my sister really have been protecting me until now and how I was so weak that make me afraid to my own twin when she only trying to protecting me. What kind of brother am I!!

This frustration make me unable to sleep till morning. Then Iva suddenly started to avoiding me, this make me even more frustrated. Sweet and kind Asia tried her best to help me focus from exam but that's it. Iva still avoiding me even when the school is over. Bochou suddenly called all of us to a meeting.

For the first time I don't really cared about Buchou but worried about my own sister that still think I am afraid of her. Still I must come to this meeting because Bochou said want to told me about something important.

I open the door to our club room and found everyone already inside and that maid that intrude my room. "You!" I yell surprised while pointing my finger at the maid rudely.

The maid ignore me and turn at Buchou "Rias-sama introduction." The maid told Buchou sternly with her stone face. She remind me a lot like my sister Iva with her temperament. Ugh, now I feel guilty again.

Like her usual graceful style Buchou smile and start introducing the maid. "Well, some of you might know her but I will introduce her again to the one that still don't know. This is Grayfia Lucifuge the servant of Gremory House. Grayfia this is my new cute Peerages, Issei and Asia.

While I still staring at the newly dubbed Grayfia, I saw Asia give her a polite bow. Grayfia return her bow with a polite nod while ignoring me. I somehow doesn't get the best first impression towards her.

Rias-Buchou then make a fake cough to catch my intention. "Now I'm going to tell you about my reason calling you all here." Buchou paused for a moment and even I could tell that she was hesitating about something. "Actually-"

Buchou never quite finish her sentence as the room suddenly glow and a magic circle appear on the floor. "That is the Phenex Crest!" The jerk Kiba exclaimed surprised unlike his usual 'I'm cool' attitude. While I don't know what so important about this Crest but I know that I should pay intention about the things that going to happen.

Iva always said to me to be quite if I ever face an unknown territory. First, I must blend to the surrounding and quietly observing the situation before rushing out. But it was so hard for me to that because I usually very rash and hot-headed person unlike my cold twin.

Then from the magic circle appear a person along with scorching fire that seem to warp around that person. When the fire subsides, I can see another one of those 'cool' type of guy. This young man looks like in his early 20', he have a short bright yellow hair and dark blue eyes. But what pissed me the most is the attitude that he announce, I can see it without knowing him that this jerk is very arrogant and have over inflated ego by his body language and that condescending smirk.

"Fuu, it's been a while since I have come to the human world. My lovely Rias, I have come to get you." The arrogant jerk said while leering at Buchou lustful. He then walk away from the circle and start to lean on Buchou shoulder while ignoring the fact that Buchou don't appreciate his approach.

"Well, let's go. I know it was sudden but the ceremony already been set. So, it's better that we get it done." The jerk said cheerfully while teasing Buchou as he lean at her.

"Let go of me Raiser!" Buchou finally snap as she shove the jerk away from her. But after that warning he still pestering Buchou that make me mad. "Stop it already! Can't you see that Buchou don't appreciate your approach!? What with your attitude towards girls!?" I yell at this guy angrily.

The jerk finally notice my presence and while looking at me he ask disinterestedly "Huh? Who the hell are you?"

I hold my hand in front my chest and proudly announces that I'm Buchou's Pawn. But then he ignored me like I don't even worth anything and continue to pester Buchou.

I yell again and very pissed by his attitude "And who are you?! To suddenly barge in and pestering Buchou like that!?"

He then look a bit confused and ask Buchou "Eh? You actually never told your servants about me? Wait, there are actually person that doesn't about me? Is this your newest reincarnated human? That must be the reason."

Buchou reply casually "Hmp, it's only because there is no need for me to tell them about you." Hearing her sharp disinterest the jerk chuckle awkwardly "As usual you're harsh."

The silent Grayfia suddenly speak "This person is Raiser Phenex-sama. He is a pureblood high-class devil, and the third son of the legendary Phenex Clan. And also the spouse of the next heir of Gremory Family."

Hearing this news I was shocked because isn't Buchou the next heir of Gremory. "But that means..." I mumble shocked. Grayfia nodded and confirm my guess "He is going to be marrying Rias Ojou-sama."

By that word my world seems to be crashes. I immediately denied "No way!! Buchou will marry that jerk!" The jerk glare at me as he about to said something he was cut by Buchou who slam her hand on her desk loudly "Enough! Riser! As I have already said, I will not marry you!"

Riser shrugs her yelling and answer uncaring "But isn't your family already at their wits end over this? And besides this engagement is started by your family because of their concern of the survival of your family line."

Buchou then frown "I won't let my house fall to ruin. I plan to bring a son-in-law into the fold eventually." This make the jerk perk up but his hope crushed by Buchou "But I won't marry you. The one I will marry will be of my own choosing. As a member of reputable family, I have at least that much right."

The jerk sneer at her answer "I too bear the reputation of the house of Phenex. I won't have it sullied. Though I came all the way here to human world just to meet you. If you still refuse then I will take you back to the devil realm by force. Even if I have to incinerate every last one of your servants."

As soon he said that a pair of wing made of fire sprout from his back. Even we're quite far away from his position we could feel the unbearable heat. Buchou glare back at his threat "Just try it, if you think you can, Riser."

The Maid Grayfia suddenly interrupt "My lady, Riser-sama, please calm yourselves. I will not be able to stand by idly should you take this fight any further and for the sake of Sirzechs-sama's honor, I would not hold back."

Her word sent chill to the whole room and it's intimidate all the person in the room. "Fine, I don't want to pick a fight with the strongest queen." said Riser as he vanish his flame wing away.

Grayfia suddenly speak again cutting the tense atmosphere "We anticipated this. In the event that a decision could not be reached, we have prepared a last resort. My Lady, if you insist on having your way, then how would you like to settle the matter by means of a rating game?"

I then suddenly remember the last time Buchou lecture about rating game. It is a contest that pits teams of servants against each other. "These games apparently affect the hierarchy in devil society, but I thought Buchou couldn't take part yet because she isn't a fully matured devil." I mumble the knowledge that shoved into my head by Buchou and repeated by my own sister, but it was inconsistent by what the maid said.

Grayfia saw my confused face and decided to explain "As you say, my lady cannot yet participate in the formal games. But underage devils may engage in unofficial matches to settle family feuds and other internal affairs."

Buchou then confidently said "Fine. I will never have any other chance like this. So I consent. We will settle this matter with a rating game, Riser." Riser then laugh at Buchou mockingly "Hmm? Are you really sure? It makes no different for me as I already participated in official matches many times and have a number of wins." Buchou reply sternly "Of course. I'm going to blow you away!"

Riser let out a confident smirk "Fine, then. Should you win, you can do as you please. But when I win, you'll marry me immediately Rias." Grayfia nodded "I, Grayfia, have received consent from you both. As mediator between your houses, I will handle the Operation of the game. Is this understood?" when Buchou and Riser give their confirmation "Very well. I will inform the members of both house."

After this the jerk start to show off his peerage and made me pick a fight but lose badly. Seeing Buchou naivety Riser gives us ten days to prepare as he saw my weakness. We train very hard at Buchou's Villa but in the end our effort still not enough. I was unable to protect Buchou. If only I have asked for Iva help I might able to help.

"Nii-san what's wrong?" I suddenly heard Iva's Voice. i look up and found her face in front mine though not really seen she was worried about me. I immediately hug her firmly "Please Iva! I beg of you, Please save Buchou!" She is my only hope as she always been able to solve all my problem. "Alright Nii-san, Iva will vanquish all your sadness. So, please stop crying."
