" jessica, dont tell me your believing what those uraban folks are saying? gunshot in the middle of the night? specially 554 consecutive shots? those number of shots are capable of drawing extinction here! the police should have already noticed this if its real"
on a trail track leading to the forest, a man and a woman can be seen. both are carrying large backpacks while a pair of pistols was held at their hands.he man kept on complaining to the woman while the woman just keeps on looking around.
" jessica, are you for real? those people are just trolling us like the other day!"
" if you dont want to go then go back. a forest ranger always believes on the saying to ' to see is to believe'! because of your arrogant attitude, you disregards the urban folks words and causes a small forest fire back then! so if you keep on complaining, watch how i kick your ass back to the cabin!"
jessica, who have been enduring for a while coudn't endure it anymore. she snapped back and walks faster towards the forest. the man, leonardo, was rooted on his face with humiliation and anger can be seen at his face.
' bitch, now you've done it. watch how i teach you a 'lesson' in the forest'
with a sinister smile, leaonardo followed suit to jessica. after 2 minutes of walking jessica and leonardo finally arrived at the borders of the forest. gunshots can be heard from here, making jessica's face pale.
" see that? if you once again ignored their words, a mass extinction will probably happen here!"
disgust and contempt was displayed in jessica's face, increasing the rage that was brewing on leonardo's heart. they entered the forest and ran towards the direction of the gunshots. not long after, jessica was confused since the continues gunshots came to a sudden halt. silence filled the forest.
jessica's heart raced when a sudden thought passed to her mind.
' did those bastards succeded? '
increasing her pace, jessica is now sprinting towards the direction of the previous gunshots and came to a sudden halt when she saw a man, with terror and fear was running as if his life was on the line. jessica recognized this man since she caught this man last month for illegal hunting of endangered animals.
jessica was about to fight it out with the man when a huge shadow loomed at their location. faint flapping of wings can be heard right above them. the man continued on running with joy when he saw the pair of rangers.
the faint flappings grew louder as the shadow looming around them grew larger. when the man heard that, the fear and terror increased and when he was about to call for help towards the pair of rangers, a loud flap was heard and with a swoosh, the man was lifted from the ground with a loud eagle cry.
jessica was shocked by what she just witnessed. the camera at the top of her head was recording earlier when she saw the man came running in. she hurriedly took the camera at the top of her head and immediately played the video.
on the video, the man can be seen when a huge shadow suddenly swept down and dragged the man with it to the skies. a loud eagle cry was heard along with the mans screaming. jessica once again played the video and timed it perfectly and paused when the shadow lands its attack at the man. the image was now cleared. a huge hawk with the wingspan of 12 ft and the size of a human dug its sharp claws at the mans flesh and its menacing eyes was staring at them.
when jessica saw those eyes, she subconciously drops the camera with fear growing at her heart. jessica was full of questions right at this moment.
' what kind of hawk is that? thats almost the size of a human! that thing can be called a killing machine already!'
like jessica, leonardo was also filled with fear and confusion. this was the first time on his life that he saw a very huge hawk. those pair of sharp and menacing eyes was so frightening that he almost wet himself.
" jessica, let's go already! this place is so dangerous! we have to report this to the organization!"
leonardo was panicking at this moment since the bird might mistaken them as the mans aquintance and look for them later.
jessica nodded to the mans word and hurriedly returns to their cabin.

" yes sir, a huge hawk with a wingspan of 12- 13 ft dragged that man who we have arrested last month. yes, leonardo and i came out unscathed. i was also shocked sir, if im correct, this is the first ever encounter of such a huge hawk in the history. its appearance sir? aside from its size, the hawk is almost like a regular hark. brown feathers, golden beak. oh right there is this weird mark at its forhead sir. a crescent moon like mark was on its forhead. yes yes..."
jessica was talking with her boss at her phone and describes the encounter that just happened. at first, her boss didnt believed her but when she send the video through email, the man was so shocked that a faint hiss was heard through the phone.
" but boss, should we publicized this? its a huge scoop boss! the video might be able to gather some donations fo us to improve our equipments here!"
jessica's face flushed with excitement when she thought that with this video, their equipment will finally improve! and with the fame it will bring, she can finally prove to her parents that she can achieve something her on the forest!
" jessica, we didnt formed this organization to benifit from the donations, yes , we can improve the equipments but what will happen when those bastards ( poachers) heard this? they will come stumbling there and shoot the hell out of that huge hawk! the cost of benifiting here is the hawks safety along with the other animals in the forest"
with those words, jessica was woke up from her excitement and realized the hidden danger lying from within. her boss was right.
" yes boss, i understand. i became stupid there"
jesssica apologized with a solemn voice. the man on the phone cant help but chuckle himself.
" silly child, i understand you. who wouldn't want new equipments to protect the animals they love? just keep quite for a while and continue to investigate this matter."
" yes boss!"
with that, jessica concludes that for the day...
