Chapter 79. Garrick in trouble

The scene was not pretty as Garrick was sent flying, fortunately saved by the cushioning of the tent walls. On the other end was a peak condensation realm expert who had just delivered a hard punch to Garrick's mid-section, had it not been for his armor then he probably would've been injured right now. He was wearing a grand purple robe and had a disgusted and outraged expression on his average looking face.

"You little bastard! You had armor prepared this whole time! Crawl back here and apologize to me!" the man shouted in anger as he pointed to the ground in front of him.

"How dare you!? When I took that piece you did not even seem interested but now you just punched me, what kind of manner do you have? Did your parents not teach you properly?" Garrick furiously replied back, although that punch had did not seriously injure him, it still hurt like hell.

"Impudent!" The man coldly spoke as he charged forwards and delivered another punch but this time Garrick was prepared and he managed to somehow narrowly dodge the blow by a small margin.

Garrick landed a few meters back and a serious expression appeared on his face but as he turned around he saw that the punch had just followed through and struck Vanessa insatead. Luckily she had managed to use her arms to block the punch from hitting her vital points.

Ack!

She spat out a mouthful of blood as she was sent flying towards the trees on the opposite side of the tent.

"Vanessa!" Garrick shouted as he dash forward and caught Vanessa and they both crashed onto a tree.

"You okay?" Garrick asked as he lifted Vanessa to her feet.

"I'm fine," Vanessa forced out with a pained expression. She did not have a strong body like Garrick so it was obvious that she must have taken a hefty amount of damage.

Shing!

"How shameless," Garrick commented as he brought out his axe, as he now angrily looked at the man and prepared to charge but just before he could, a voice rang out at the exact moment, "killing him will not benefit you in any way Garrick!"

Wenella slowly walked out from the crowd as she spoke to Garrick.

"To think that, a refinement stage one like you could make it to the top thousands ranking is just stupid. 'Lord of farming,' you should go back to your stupid little village and never come back along and that 'Azure Priestess' should come with us," the man mocked as he paid no attention to Wenella and started approaching Garrick again.

"Stop it!" Wenella coldly spoke out to both of them as she walked in both of their paths, "you will only get yourselves hurt and be unable to kills anyone when the stalemate ends."

"Hahahaha!" the man broke out in laughter as he looked at Wenella with contempt and mocked, "if I want to kill him then who will stop me? Look at him, he is already injured. He can possibly hurt me."

"His backing will and you will not like it," Wenella coldly warned as her mood was already ruined.

"I like you, hahahaha! Why don't you come with me and be my guest for today's party? Maybe I'll let him go then," the man spoke with an evil grin as he lustfully looked at Wenella.

Slice!

The man did not say a word after that, instead Wenella had suddenly seemed to teleport from her initial position to right behind him. "You don't have the qualifications," she whispered with a cold scary smile.

Immediately, the man's expression turned into one of amazement as fresh red blood started to ooze out from his warm stiff neck and before he could reply…

Splat!

His head had cleanly fallen off with its shocked expression still visible and separated from the rest of his lifeless standing body as blood started spraying out like a mountain, creating a small puddle of red blood as it slowly fell.

Silence filled the area, even people who were not interesting and just happily conversing stopped all actions and their whole attention laid on the decapitated head and Aurora.

Wenella however did not pay any mind to this as she immediately walked over to Vanessa and bent down and began wrapping Vanessa's fractured arm.

"Sorry, I was caught off guard," Vanessa apologetically spoke as she tried to hide that was pulsating through her body from her arm.

"It's fine, I had a feeling that they had something planned but I did not expect it to be this," Wenella simple waved off the apology and informed her to concentrate on rejuvenating.

"This is not good," Garrick quietly whispered so that only the two could hear.

"What's wrong?" Wenella asked nonchalantly.

"I managed to strike up a conversation with one of the cultivators there and he told me how they free rankers operate," Garrick's expression suddenly turned into one of extreme concern.

"What do you mean?" Wenella asked curiously, she could not understand what point Garrick was making.

"Cultivators here work in parties, the person who picked on me must be a part of a very strong party. We need to escape now or else it won't end well for us!" Garrick briefly informed with an extremely serious expression.

"I see, don't worry then," Wenella nodded understandingly as she paused for a few seconds before calmly replying with a smile.

"Huh? What do you mean? Do you think you can fight all of them off?" Vanessa confusedly asked.

"We will have to see about that and besides, we still have Leo," Wenella unworried replied as she casually kept on wrapping Vanessa's arm with bandages.

"How do you have so much faith in Leo, is he that strong?" Garrick angrily complained as he had never seen Leo attack anyone or show his true strength.

"Leo… if he wanted to, could take out this whole battlefield if he wanted to," Wenella calmly replied unwillingly with a sigh.

"WHAT?!?!" Garrick screamed in amazement, "Are you being serious right now?!"

"Yep, he could d-"

"WATCH OUT!" Garrick shouted suddenly.

Slash!

Immediately, Wenella dashed backwards in the blink of an eye as a sword slash struck the place where she was initially standing on.

Boom!

The sword slash left a deep two meter crevice in the ground as it kicked up a bunch of dirt and dust.

'This strength can only be coming from a cultivator who is at similar strengths as me!' Wenella thought as she instantly became cautious. She turned around to look at who attacked them. There were a dozen cultivators surrounding them wearing the same clothes as the man from back then. They all had a cultivation of peak emission realm and there was a man who was holding a sword in the middle who was hiding his cultivation.

"Good dodge!" the leader commented as he evilly glared at Wenella.

"I am the 'sword master', the person who you killed was a member of my 'sword party.' I would like an explanation from you or else we will have no choice but to resort to force, I'm not an unreasonable person," the leader spoke.

"Garrick, if we explain ourselves do we have a chance?" Wenella quietly asked Garrick. The vibe that George radiated was completely different from what the man here was emitting. It had a more trustworthy feel to it while George's one was very arrogant and upper class.

"No, they must have planned this from the start, they will just take advantage of us. We have no choice but to fight," Garrick warily replied as he did not even take them all seriously at all and thought they were all untrustworthy.

"Sigh… This is not looking good, I can't help you guys and fight them all off at the same time, I can't kill them either or else they will be able to conspire and start a rumor that we are working for the other army," spoke Wenella as she was placed in a very hard position.

'Do I always have to rely on him?' Wenella frustrated thought as she unwillingly pictured of being saved by Leo again.

"Don't have an explanation but if you don't let us get out of this place then we will have no choice but to resort to force as well," Wenella spoke out as she released her cultivation of middle stage six refinement realm.

"I see, no wonder you were so arrogant, but do you think that your cultivation will mean that you can beat me?" Sword master mockingly asked as he also radiated his aura which was at peak stage six refinement realm.

"Why don't we make a deal then?" she suggested.

"Oh, what kind of deal?" the sword master interest was piqued.

"You and me will have a spar, if we win, then we will leave this party and no one here will mess with us ever again, but if you win, then we will publicly apologize and pay you a hundred thousand gold coins," Wenella explained.

"Haha, I am very interested now. I agree with it," Sword master said with a laugh as he shook hands with Wenella, establishing the deal.

At the entrance of the tent, the Chieftain of Darkness was silently watching over the scene, waiting for his time to appear. Wenella's mature beauty had made a large impression on him and he immediately wanted her.

"I will make my appearance when she is desperate, that way I will land a huge impression on her," he evilly planned as he thought that Wenella did not have a chance at beating the Sword Master at all.
