With a week passing since the turning point in Izuku's life, precisely 299 days remain before the day of U.A's Entrance Exam arrives.
Thus far, Izuku managed to finish his plans for the remainder of the time leading up to what would end up being the most important exam of his life. He had thoroughly researched topics like bodybuilding and proper nutrition to transform his body in the coming months, but most of his time was spent analyzing his Quirk.
Sin, as his Wrath incarnation dubbed it, was a truly odd Quirk after he thought long and hard about it. It was a Quirk that apparently held seven Quirk-worthy powers onto itself, and the only two he thus far discovered were so different, diverse, powerful… To say that it gave rise to several questions would be a severe understatement.
The power of Wrath manifested as a textbook example of Transformation Quirk. Even without entering the full transformation that substituted Izuku's conscious mind with his Wrath Incarnation, it's power worked exactly as one would expect of a Transformation Quirk. It boosted his reaction speed, power, and endurance, albeit at the cost of his cognitive functions at its highest levels of output, but he had more or less established that the effects could be trained to superhuman levels.
Moreover, his power of Wrath didn't just end as a mere Transformation Quirk. Somehow, it also possessed an aspect of sentience, muddying the very boundaries of what Izuku thought was possible with Quirks.
The power of Pride, however, could be identified as an Emitter Quirk by even children. Kinetikinesis, though still far from his reach, would only ever manifest changes around Izuku and not within him.
With those details understood, Izuku had to ask himself: What of the five other sins of Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, Greed, and Lust? If, or when, he manifested them, would it be possible for them to manifest as any type of Quirk? With the qualities of Emitter, Transformation, and a Sentient Quirks, all he was missing was a Mutant aspect and he'd be the first case of an omni-typical Quirk.
More concerning, among the questions Izuku had was: What exactly would it take for him to unlock the powers of his other sins? For Wrath, he had to feel an utter hatred of himself and the world immediately around him, while his Pride only unlocked at the helm of his ever-confident counterpart's possession.
He imagined he could eventually fulfill the conditions required to unlock the powers of Gluttony and Sloth if all it took was to pass a certain threshold with the feelings associated with those sins. But, Envy? Greed? Lust? Each only became increasingly harder for Izuku to imagine cultivating.
…
An entire month has passed since the sludge villain incident and now only 276 days remain. By now, Izuku has completely adjusted to his new life, his nightmarish training schedule, and having one Camie Utsushimi as his sole friend.
Outside of school, Izuku hasn't really made much of an effort to improve his social skills; he only recently started actively talking to Camie instead of just responding. However, while in school, Izuku could always count on the fawn-haired beauty to eat lunch with or partner-up for group projects; despite her speaking quirk, he was actually a top student, funny enough.
Thus far, only Camie has approached him and he couldn't be happier having so little distractions from his goal. He needed all the focus he could muster, lest the training schedule he concocted might just break him before he got the chance to enter U.A.
The "training schedule," if one were so optimistic in using the euphamism, was more like mind and body torture of the highest caliber. It was a boot camp, only, it was set to last the length of the remaining time before the Entrance Exam and there were no breaks. Not even a second could be wasted if Izuku could afford it as he did everything he could think of to acquire more power.
He no longer ate whatever his mother cooked him, rather, it had become his duty to cook all his meals, so he could stringently manage his diet to optimize muscle growth. When he was at school, the closest thing to a break that he took came during lunch, where he'd still be working on his studies or research, but at least he had Camie around to occasionally distract him.
Out of school, Izuku started going straight to Dagobah Beach. There, when he wasn't trying to fight his Wrath incarnation in his subconscious to wrestle control of its powers, he was working out his physical body by moving around trash as makeshift weights.
Only after sunset would Izuku stop working at the beach and cycle between running and jogging home. Then, he'd spend the rest of his time either studying or doing homework to climb the ranking positions of his grade. Over the course of a day, his only breaks were the times he had to make his own food, use a bathroom, or sleep. Yet, Izuku would never claim to be bored or overworked; it started off slowly, but over time, he would even feel as if he wasn't doing enough.

Over five months have passed since Izuku managed to reactivate his Quirk and less than 150 days remain. Progress has been steady and noticeable enough for Izuku to have finally cultivated enough Pride to use his Kinetikinesis powers independent of his Wrath Incarnation's control.
The breakthrough came unceremoniously, after around the three month mark of his new daily routine and since then, Izuku has been slowly improving his control and the potency of his Pride. He wasn't like his Wrath Incarnation, which seemingly had perfect control of the green energy automatically; add to that the fact that he had very little Pride in himself to begin with, and the ability might as well have been useless the first few days after he had unlocked it.
When he started using the power of Pride, he could barely increase or decrease the kinetic energy of pieces of trash that he found suitable enough for throwing. Instead of being able to move fast enough to make afterimagines and give off the impression that he teleported like his Wrath Incarnation did during the sludge villain incident, whenever he tried to use Pride for mobility, he would fall on his face as he failed to calculate the effect of every change he would make to the kinetic forces acting on his body.
For a time, Izuku could only lament his lack of proficiency as he had thought up a hundred-and-one different applications for the power by the time he had earned it for himself.
Fortunately, with the passing of time, there came an increase to his control and the power of his Pride. After a month, he managed to reach a basic level of mastery for the most rudimentary uses of his power, and that alone made him a more powerful, deadlier... person. At just that entry level, any rock or pebble he found on the floor could become a lethal projectile, any punch or kick he used could make unsettling indents on the broken refrigerators or cars he found on the beach.
Needless to say, Izuku was well on his way to mastering his Pride. He had begun to focus on learning to apply the ability in more complex ways, when fate decided to throw a wrench in his plans.
"Izubro? Is that you, fam?" Having heard Camie's voice, Izuku, who had been running around as a green blur across the obstacle course of trash he had made at the beach, facefaulted.
As he picked himself up, he faced her and said, "Camie? Fancy seeing you here." He bled sarcasm.
"Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting this when I decided to take a walk today."
"Damn, you must be pretty bored."
"Deadass, you have no idea. Anyway," Camie adopted a curious look in her eyes as she watched Izuku play around with wisps of green energy, "what have you been up to, homie?"
"Training for U.A's Entrance Exam," Izuku said as he threw a piece of scrap metal fast enough to make a high-pitched whirring noise.
"Props to you for staying on the grind. But… did you have to pick a dump to train at, my guy?" From their talks over the past couple months, she knew Izuku took his training seriously as she had invited him to hang out a couple of times only for him to decline every time. But, he'd never told her where or how it was that he trained and she never pried.
"It's the closest place to my house where I can freely use my Quirk," Izuku said as he picked up a palm size metal tube. After he threw it with enough force to shave off the upper fourth of a ten-foot-tall garbage pile, he said, "I also don't have the money to afford facilities which can contain the power of my Quirk, so this is the next best alternative."
"Damn, son, you're making me look bad, working like a chad when I'm twiddling my thumbs like an idiot," she joked.
"Well, you could always workout with me if you want," Izuku offered. "You even have the clothes for it," He snorted.
"I think I'll take you up on that off, fam."
"A-are you serious?" Izuku stopped as he faced a now deadly serious Camie.
"Hell yeah! I could make some illusions for you to practice throwing to train our Quirks, and then we'll square up for a no-Quirk anything-else-goes hand-to-hand fight! I'll finally get to try out my Judo on someone outside of the dojo," She smirked.
Thus, Camie inserted herself one step deeper into Izuku's life. From thereon, she would occasionally join him and they would train for the upcoming entrance exams together. Izuku wouldn't admit it, but she was a godsend.
Every couple days, Camie would praise him for his quick improvement as his Quirk, physical strength, and techniques all increased at an unbelievable rate; but, it was to be expected as he was essentially a complete novice, fully capitalizing on his newbie gains — having spent a fraction of the time his peers had with their Quirks.
As promised, she would help him train his Quirk by conjuring illusions with her Glamour Quirk, while he would act as her training dummy to practise Judo moves on. At least, that was how they first viewed their training sessions as they later added helping each other in the opposite aspects: Izuku enabling Camie to train her Quirk by having her swarm him with Illusions, thereby increasing their potency and her reserves, while Camie taught Izuku Judo.
…
After about seven months passed since Izuku began to train, with just under 80 days until the day of U.A's Entrance Exams arrived, the routine that had just about stabilized was once again thrown into disarray.
It started out innocently enough; the day Camie met up with and trained with Izuku for the first time. Izuku had been about to leave as he usually did from the beach, hours after Camie had left herself, when he felt displeased with the fact that the hours she had spent with him had prevented him from training his Wrath. The fact clouded his judgement and resulted in him merely spending an extra thirty minutes trying to get at least some of his traded-off time back.
Those mere thirty extra minutes would grow into nearly three hours over the course of two months as Izuku's insecurities of not doing all he possibly could led him further into madness.
'It just isn't enough… it could never be enough,' He thought, and that moment of understanding was what precisely led to the activation of his third tiered Sin. Izuku knew as much as his body promptly burst into a flash of orange before diming back down.
Now, he could feel an ever-present orange energy within his body, which he presumed was the manifestation of Gluttony given the context of the situation, but he couldn't figure out its use or ability.
When he unlocked the ability, it was nearing the middle of the night and he had returned to his room after a shower to sleep. He would have to wait until the next day to ask his Wrath Incarnation if it had any ideas as to what it could do.
That night, he had a dreamless sleep that more or less passed in the blink of an eye. Curiously, Izuku woke up precisely the moment his alarm clock rang the following morning, and much to his surprise he had woken up completely rested and recovered; not at all groggy as he expected from having only slept six hours.
By the time he had gotten ready for the day, dressed in his uniform and with his bag prepared, his mother had already gotten up and finished cooking her own breakfast. Izuku, thus, quickly gathered the ingredients that would go into his meal and cooked his usual balanced breakfast.
Ten minutes later, he finished his meal and as he half-expected, he found himself satiated by not entirely full; he had certainly unlocked the powers of Glutoney — unless it was placebo… He cooked himself a second portion, then a third… a fourth, a fifth...
"Sweetie..." Inko naturally started to worry, "are you fine, eating so much?"
"Hm?" Izuku swallowed the food in his mouth before saying, "Yeah, i'm just testing the new Sin I managed to unlock last night."
He then went on to eat five more portions before coming to the conclusion that his power of Gluttony allowed him to eat either an infinite amount, or enough to come reasonably close, as he felt not the slightest bit closer to feeling full from the time he finished eating his first portion.
'This is pretty insane,' Izuku thought, having returned to his room and weighed himself on a scale. Somehow, despite having consumed easily over ten pounds of food and water, he hadn't gained even an ounce of mass. Though, try as he might, he couldn't get his orange energy to do anything even as he went on his way and arrived at school.
During lunch, Izuku ate as he would any other day, yet even after cleaning his lunchbox spotless, he still wasn't close to feeling full. Camie even offered him her leftovers, but that did little to fill the void that had become his stomach.
After school, once it was time to train with his Wrath Incarnation, Izuku was half-surprised to see his counterpart approach him as a friendly.
"I'm calling it Abstract Storage," it simply said.
"Um… What?" Izuku asked, understandably confused by the very first words his counterpart had said to him.
"The power of Gluttony. You know, your third tier of Sin?"
"Ok? So, you know what it does, right?" Izuku asked.
"It seems to be simple enough," his counterpart started. "Apparently, you've manifested a Mutant-type Quirk ability to store an infinite amount of resources which fuel your body's needs. Things like food, water, and sleep can be stored by the orange energy in your body when present in excess quantities and then automatically used when your body needs them."
"If I understand correctly, you're saying that the pounds of food I ate earlier today were converted by my power of Gluttony," Izuku paused and saw his counterpart nod with a grin. "In theory, I won't have to eat for days then, right?"
"No, no, no..." Izuku's counterpart shook its head, "You're thinking too small. With the power of Gluttony, you could theoretically stockpile sleep, nutrients, and water, to continue working, studying, training—" it's eyes narrowed dangerously, "—at optimal levels for weeks, months, and maybe even years without rest!"
Thus, Izuku's conflict was appeased. He didn't actively seek out his power of Gluttony — how could he have imagined it would be so perfect for his situation? — but after it manifested it gave him the ability to intensify his training by an additional degree of insanity. It took Izuku a couple days to fully understand the properties of Gluttony after getting the input of his Wrath Incarnation, and what already seemed like a useful ability only revealed itself to be fully broken after he had dissected it.
As stated by Izuku's Wrath Incarnation, Gluttony manifested like a Mutant-type Quirk; by its very nature, it worked in a passive manner. With it active at all times, Izuku found that so long as he didn't exert himself physically, he could stockpile "rest," which was like a discount version of "sleep." He also only needed to sleep for four hours a night — when his reserves of stockpiled sleep and rest were completely exhausted — as his body started skipping the less important stages of the sleep process.
Given his status as a middle schooler, being forced to sit through lecture after lecture left him easily able to stockpiled hours of "rest." Moreover, despite the name Izuku's Wrath Incarnation gave the power of Gluttony, it didn't just function as a storage ability; it also started impacting Izuku metabolically.
Izuku theorized that the nutrients in the food he ate in excess had begun being spent optimally after he found his constitution skyrocketed in progress in mere weeks after he unlocked his third tier of Sin. His body must have been exclusively, if not almost exclusively, using carbohydrates to fuel his muscles while he worked on cardio to increase his endurance, and used a similar process with protein to promote muscle synthesis and increase his muscle mass after his every workout, else his progress would have remained as steady as it previously was.
It made his physical training that much more efficient, though, what most improved from the advent of Gluttony was actually Izuku's studies. He began to stop sleeping in favor of studying and reading up on high school level topics as the "rest" he stockpiled through the classes and at night more than made up for the lack of sleep and it seemed that another resource he could stockpile was "knowledge."
He had finally become the never-tiring maching he had so urgently wanted.
...
The day of U.A's Entrance Exams had arrived; a full ten months passed since Izuku reactivated his Quirk. He had done all he possibly could to prepare himself for this day. He had trained like a man possessed, studied and graduated at the top of his grade, and reasonably cultivated three of his Sin powers.
His body was forged anew, utterly incomparable to the scrawny constitution he possessed before his life was forever changed. Thanks to his Wrath Incarnation and Camie, he even built up a journeyman's proficiency with Judo.
With his Wrath, he had nearly mastered his "own" brawler style and managed to control himself at a surplus negativity quotient of 5% — it was the measure his Wrath Incarnation had for the amount of hatred he could exceed his threshold for a full transformation; as the percentage increased, he would become more inhuman and powerful in an exponential fashion.
As the foundation of his Sins, Wrath would probably always be the most powerful of his powers. With just the base transformation, his body became at least twice as durable as usual, his reaction time and raw strength nearly tripling as well. However, after he crossed his threshold and tapped into surplus negativity, every additional percent would give him a compounding addition of 10% to the benefits of his transformation.
His accomplishments with Pride were nothing to scoff at either, as Izuku had long since developed a system of ranking all the applications he could pull off with an ability as broad as Kinetikinesis and managed to learn and become relatively proficient with most lower-to-mid level applications.
He had more or less mastered basic Kinetic Imbuement and Dispersal; meaning his ability to increase or decrease the kinetic energy of any given item that came into contact with the green energy of his Pride. He had also become incredibly proficient in imbuing his body with kinetic energy to move and attack at superhuman speeds.
After months of dedicated cultivation, his Pride had become potent enough to even manifest out of direct contact with his body. Thus, allowing Izuku to learn most of the Middle Level applications he currently knew, including but not limited to: projecting a sort of forcefield, compressing air into blasts of pressure, and manipulating the kinetic properties of gasses to add a component of temperature to his abilities.
Even his power of Gluttony had stockpiled a ridiculous amount of resources, having had three months of time for Izuku to work on it. With his mother allowing him to eat double portions for every meal at home, and Camie regularly donating to his stomach during their school lunch hours, Izuku had enough nutrients to go for months without feeling the need to eat again.
Water was essentially free in the current age, yet despite that fact, it was actually his reserves of rest and sleep that were most frightening. Izuku calculated that as he was, as he left his house for the train that would take him to U.A, he could theoretically fight or train for at least a full week at optimal efficiency; he might even be able to go on for longer if he had someone around that could heal injuries, alleviate fatigue, or simply feed him more food and drink.
Izuku got on his train and decided to enjoy himself for the first time in months. He pulled out a pair of headphones and connected them to his phone.
♫ I put the new Forgi's on the G
I trap until the bloody bottoms is underneath
'Cause all my niggas got it out the streets
I keep a hunnid racks, inside my jeans ♫
Izuku wouldn't lie, having Camie as his only friend had certainly influenced his personality and tastes…
He closed his eyes and passed the train ride blissfully enjoying the mix of rap, trap, and hip-hop that blasted in his headphones. When his stop arrived, he sighed and put his headphones away.
Walking out of the train, he didn't expect it when someone tapped on his shoulder. "Dude, sorry if it isn't any of my business, but were you the one rocking out to Roddy Rich, Travis Scott, and Juice fucking WRLD for the last couple stops?" A girl with short purple-hued hair asked.
From her expression, it seemed she was more excited than angry, so Izuku simply nodded, "Yeah, I know it's pretty old school for English rap, but I'm convinced they're some of the greatest artists despite the advancements to the genre."
"You're damn right they are! I'm Kyoka Jiro, by the way," the girl said as she sized Izuku up and proceeded to ask, "You also here for U.A's Entrance Exam?"
"Right," Izuku nodded, before introducing himself, "Also I'm Izuku Midoriya."
"We should probably start walking there together soon or we'll be late," Izuku added.
As they walked, Jiro suddenly said, "You know, you're the first person I've met with any decent taste in music. It's kind of sad really..."
"How'd you even tell what it was I was listening to? I had noise-cancelling headphones on the whole time," Izuku said.
From the girl's earlobes, what looked like earphone jacks stretched out and wiggled in the air before Izuku's eyes. "Aside from having these things," the earphone jacks' wiggling intensified, "my Quirk gave me a sort of super hearing. It's what's let me appreciate music so much growing up."
"Oh? Well, to be honest, I have this friend that introduced me to all those songs I played earlier. I'm not too well versed in music appreciation, but she should make for a great conversationalist."
"Yo, Izubro!" Camie's voice suddenly called out from behind Izuku.
Ah," Izuku smiled helplessly, "speak of the devil and she shall appear."
"Fam, you better not be talking shit behind my—" As she was approaching, Camie's foot got caught by a misplaced brick on the road. She was just about to land face-first on the ground when Izuku seemingly teleported over to her side and erased all the kinetic forces of gravity acting on her body with a simple touch.
"I know you're bubbly, but you've got to get over being such an airhead," Izuku sighed as he helped her to a standing position and withdrew his power of Pride.
"I was just testing you," Camie snorted as she looked away from Izuku. "Just checking to see if you're still a ride or die, homie."
"Anyway..." Izuku turned to Jiro and introduced her to Camie, "Jiro, this is the friend I was just talking about."
The three thus continued on their way through the brick road that led to U.A's main building. Jiro understandably had a bit of trouble understanding Camie, but after they started talking about their favorite songs and artists, anyone could use context clues to understand her. Izuku contributed to the conversation once or twice before they had to split up after arriving at an auditorium.
Izuku stayed with Camie as they assigned seats to students based on what schools came from, and soon enough a hero by the name of Present Mic entered the stage. Present Mic then went on to list the day's schedule for his school's examinees. After his presentation, the examinees would be undergoing a theoretical exam that tested their knowledge of middle school level academics. There would be a lunch break and then the examinees would change before being shuttled off to a mock city where they would undergo their practical exam.
"This is fucking bullshit," Izuku's eyes darkened momentarily as he walked with Camie out of the auditorium and to their theoretical exam.
Present Mic had concluded his presentation by detailing the proceedings of the practical exam. For all intents and purposes, there was a clear bias for combative Quirks.
"Sometimes, it really do be like that, fam," even Camie sighed despondent as she couldn't imagine herself passing an exam that wanted to see her destroy false villain robots; robots made out of metal, that also possessed non-lethal guns and missiles. Even if her illusions did manage to fool the robots, she just wouldn't have the firepower to do any damage.
"Guess I'll just have to try for other hero high schools and hope they don't do me dirty like this," Camie said before she and Izuku entered the testing room.
Izuku remained quiet as he watched his ever-cheerful friend sink into a depression. Soon, the test started and the only thing he could do was hatefully write down his answers as he knew words would be cheap even if he was afforded the chance to speak them.
This was supposed to be the greatest hero high school in Japan; nay, the world! Yet, they too prioritized flashy, dangerous, combative Quirks which were more often than not only useful in fights against villains? Were other Quirks not good enough? What about people without any Quirks at all?
The whole situation reminded Izuku of the clear bias he had experienced personally at the hands of Bakugo. Why did that asshole get the praise of his teachers when they undoubtedly knew of the boy's actions behind closed doors? Why was he followed by lackeys and generally liked, despite showing overt arrogance and a god complex? Was it because of his Explosion Quirk? Could it really be that such a difference was worthy enough of a cause to be treated so differently?
Izuku only knew one thing for sure: Already, he was being triggered by U.A. as Camie liked to say. Alas, he had a goal to become the best hero and graduating from the best hero high school was a necessary stepping stone in his path. If he didn't already believe that he wouldn't be better off attending a different hero high school, he'd be inclined to reject going to U.A. from just this initial show of prejudice.
Unfortunately, the facts were unmistakable. Graduating from U.A. would definitely make him the most prepared out of any hero high school as they had the greatest assets: they had the best teachers, the most money, the largest web of connections.
As Izuku dwelled on his thoughts, his writing speed picked up as his eyes darkened. Fortunately for him, U.A. would grant him free reign to cause as much destruction as he wanted with his Quirk during the practical exam. He wouldn't be able to express just how unsatisfied he was until then, but U.A. would probably get the message.
