Chapter 1

3:00pm

Cameras flashed in my face as I stood behind the podium in the station seas of reporters with there mics all pointed at me, they were yelling questions like what are you doing to find this girl and what are you going to do with the criminals 'jesus Christ' I thought 'everyone is freaking out over one missing girl it's not like she is from a super rich family or anything'. She actually was, she was from the biggest family in Ōsaka, her family is also one of the richest in Ōsaka as well and they they are using there money to find her and they hired me to do that job, they are paying me 600,000 yen and an extra 25,000 yen when the job is done, I didn't realize how desperate her parents where to find there daughter, so they hired me to find her I just couldn't believe it. I looked around the room at all the people shouting questions at me and flashing cameras and I couldn't help but think 'these people are believing in a young detective of the age of 21 and that's was insane to me, this was my first real big case that I am working. When I finally got back into my own state of mind I started awnsering questions i pointed at someone and said "yes you in the front with the red dress." The girl in the red dress was named Akiko and she was form Fuji Television she asked "so begin the youngest detective in the country of japan, how much pressure is on you to crack this case and find this girl. I looked at her and said calmly "the pressure on me is eating every fiber of my being, I want to find this girl and bring her back alive and that's all I can think about." But that's wasn't the truth I mean I definitely was thinking about getting the girl back home alive but I was also doubting if she even was alive at all, I ran my hand through my thick black hair it's a twitch I have when I am nervous. I pointed to another report a young man about the age of 18 'he's probably a trainy for an paper or something' I thought, he was holding a pen and paper and asked me "what are going to do when you find the kiddnappers." He was looking into my blue eyes with his own emerald green eyes and I said to him with all the confidence I could muster "I will bring those kiddnappers to justice if it's the last thing I do." There was a flurry of more questions, but I didn't hear them, I walked away form the podium down the stage and out of the station.
