'Yep, still a failure'

The poison is really intricate in the way that it sollidifies inside lungs and inhaling a dose that would seem insignificant might not be deadly right after ingesting it but the final effect is still somewhat the same , charred Oesophagus , olfactory nerve no longer being able to transmit nerve impulse wich essentially means losing the sense of smell and finaly nothing , no litteraly , there is nothing left from the lungs . Completely corroded .

Indeed , really fascinating subject . I've made a good choice trying out some remedies .

They do not expulse out the poison but stop its progression to the nervous system . I may be on a good trail .

Yes , it took me 2 FUCKING WHOLE MONTHS to the most interesting discovery so far .

A plant , well its fibers to be more exact . They can , by weaving them together with a sea-monster's thick hide , create a filter that is resistant enough to hold out from the acidic properties of the poison .

By the way , I realised something wrong with my Larc , it's too small to actually do any significant damage to a giant creature , thank you sea-monster , and just as I thought that the blade started glowing and took the form of a giant 2 meter tall spear . It had two sharp edges with a space between them making them look like tuskers while still keeping the weapon's green luster . 'Is the weapon adapting to the situation?' was my first thought . But , it's really weird , as far as I'm concerned I never saw a weapon changing like this . After checking in the diary and updating my side , writing my theories and cures discovered , I learned the blade's name , Kongô . Neat .

And so I decided that I will go to the center of the island to understand the cause of this phenomena and maybe resolving it .

After some time travelling to the center while keeping my guards up . Something is weird with my senses , when I start concentraring I stop seeing with my eyes but more like with my sool . I started seeing some flames simillar to that white fire . And while fighting , I activated it and it showed me the opponent's sool (flame) and a greenish flame on its left flank so I tried hitting there , killing the sea-king instantly (why are there so many sea monsters here?) .

Suddenly , while activating my Sool Vision (he just doesn't know it's Haki) I saw a gargantuan flame and I made my way towards it .

It was a Devil Fruit , the cause of the poison in this island is actually a Devil fruit and while advancing to grab it I didn't notice the 'thing' stalking me from behind .

And from my side I received an order from my body wich made me duck instantly . Good choice , before me lied a puddle of green acid sizzling even the rock and melting it . I jump from my place to another to see what sneaked up on me . WHOA.

A BIG ASS Snake

10 meters tall . 4 in width and a pair of eyes staring into mine , for some readon I feel offended by the way it looked at me and its glares only angered me more . So I took my spear and made the first move , penetrating its iron-hard scales and making it hiss viciously at me and trying to bite me . Too fast for you dear . It's way stronger than me so I should contend agains the Bahamut of a reptile in front of me .

I go around it and plant the spear on the ground to propell against a tree that melts from the acid the snake keeps throwing at me , and I jump on the beast aiming for its eye wich I succeed at . That moment when I pierced the snake's eye I get cocky and try to kick the blade further in , it takes advantage of that and slams its head on the ground taking my gas-mask off me and grazes my abdomen with its fangs . I feel myself weaken by the second , I started swaying and seeing double . 'Shit!' I hold my spear firmly and plant in the ground to support myself I then bet my life away in a gamble taunting the beast and successfully it takes the bait , everything counts on this one strike .

I faint swinging my spear to the left wich the snake falls for and decides to bite me with its venom-filled fangs and , for a reason , my hands take on a black iron luster and I feel strenght rushing through my arms . I then purely by instinct and my special view jump in the air for a dozen meters , dodging the snake's bite along the way and finally while in the sky do a front-flip while putting my spear near my bassin and holding firmly with both hands by the end of it and the spear , as if understanding my intentions , transforms into a giant two-handed axe that I bring down on the snake's weak point , its forehead , and cutting it in two with a noise simillar to a thunderbolt . Feeling no power in my feet , I colapse and start panting and groaning from the pain of the poison . I start making my way to the fruit , now fallen from the intensity of the fight , and with my last bit of strength take a bite and swallow it .

'Bitter' Was my last thought before passing out .

When I woke up , I was no longer in pain nor was I wounded and my senses evolved further . I could feel any trembling in the earth and that complemented my Sool Vision making me a living radar . But the biggest change is certainly when I saw myself on the surface of a river .

I had grown another 30 cm my features were more developed and my eyes looked the same as a predator and coupled with the aura that I gained after that death-battle situation . Apparently that black iron luster on my hands was called Armament Haki and there are two other types called Observation 'RIP my Sool Vision I guess' and Conqueror's Haki . From what the Longleg wrote , it seems this is what the Old man used to knock me out .
