I woke up from a bed feeling dizzy. My eyes were having a hard time to stay open.
"Where am I?" I whispered. Once I brought myself up in a sitting position, I studied my surroundings. I wore a hospital gown and I concluded I was in a hospital.
"Hmmm. How did I get here?" I asked myself but gasped once memories from last night entered my mind. I touched my abdomen panicking. "My baby!" When I screamed, a nurse hurriedly entered the room.
"Miss is something the matter?" she asked and checked my vital signs. I shook my head and gripped the nurse's arm rather harshly.
"I don't care about myself! My baby inside me, did I lose my baby!?" I yelled panicking about to hyperventilate.
I couldn't lose the last most important person in my life, when I had nobody and nothing. No I just can't!
The nurse tried to calm me down. "Miss your baby-" she got cut off by a doctor who entered the room.
"Your baby is strong and healthy Mrs Johnson" reassured the doctor. I turned around to meet the doctor my panicking subsiding.
'Wait why did he just call me Mrs? I'm not even that old?'
The doctor was an a old man that looked to be in his late forties. Behind him I saw a tall figure, a male.
The doctor called Jordan started to explain to me
how it is important to not overstrain my body or overwork. He also scoled me that I should have done a check up of my baby so I immediately wanted to hit him but restrained myself.
'How can I do that when I freaking can't afford it!'
He told me things about my pregnancy that were hard for me to understand he said, I should not do high impact activities that could put pressure on my ligaments and pelvic floor muscles, which meant it's important to wind down my level of excersise once I've hit the third trimester. He also explained that my symptoms like exhaustion, food cravings, heart burn and nausea were common for my pregnancy and would improve by four months. He reprimanded me to rest, stay hydrated and maybe try adding some ginger to my diet. He explained that it was weird I had a sign of a baby bump since it happens in 12 weeks but concluded that it was because I was near my 12 weeks.
After that long explanation, the nurse and Dr.Jordan left me with the man. I was a bit nervous being left alone with the man, but I knew it was impolite for me to not thank him for saving
me.
I raised my head and met his gaze. "Thank..you" I whispered but inside, my heart was pounding. This man was the most handsomest guy I have ever seen!
He had jet-black wavy hair that was black as ink, rare silver eyes that I could drown in anytime, a strong jaw with a dimple on one cheek, broad shoulders and a dignified body.
Simply in words he looked like a prince!
I gulped embarrassed by my crazy explanation of this seductively handsome stranger.
'Sasha have you not learned! Men can use or throw you away at anytime like your father, boyfriend, those gangsters and the bosses you tried to apply a job with!' my inner thought screamed.
I got my thoughts together and cleared my throat"Thank you for saving me and my..baby" I trailed a bit nervous. After 5 minutes of silence I got uncomfortable when he didn't answer right away. He seemed to have an arua of a powerful, handsome but dangerous man but it strangely disappeared with a gentle and kind arua.
He gently smiled. "It was my pleasure after all I couldn't just let that happen" he said.
He walked closer to the bed, took a chair and sat next to me. I raised a brow confused.
'Why isn't he leaving?'
"The doctor gave me your hospital bill and thought that I was your husband and the child you are expecting is mine. Do you have one?" he asked in a piercing gaze.
I turned my head flustered. "I-I'm sorry about the misunderstanding and..no..this child doesn't have a father nor will need one" I frowned.
"Ok" he smiled and continued "Well.. I already paid your bill so you don't have to worry." he replied which I quickly turned my head to meet him.
"B-But.."
"No buts it is just money, don't worry you don't have to owe me anything" he said when he noticed I narrowed my eyes, suspicious.
"Ok" I mumbled thankful.
The doctor at that moment entered the room.
"Ok. Now that everything says that you and your baby are fine you will be discharged. Mr Johnson follow me to sign the discharge papers." Dr.Jordan said.
When I wanted to clarify the misunderstanding the man raised his hand to stop me.
"Ok" he said and followed the doctor.
I sighed. 'That guy clearly wants something from me but what? Ugh, I even forgot to ask him his name!'

After I got changed and went outside the building I met the handsome man leaning on his car.
'Did he wait for me? Why?' I thought confused.
When I was about to past him he called out my name.
"Sasha!" the male deep voice yelled. I stopped and turned around.
"How do you know my name when I don't know yours?"I narrowed my eyes.
"I read it on the papers and ...my name is Miguel" he answered. Then actually opened his car door. When I didn't enter it he spoke up."I want to offer you a ride home since I want to make sure you go home safely" he smiled.
'Why does he always smile for no reason? Does he think I am stupid enough to enter a stranger's car?'
"Why should I trust you..you are a stranger who can have ulterior motives" I stated bluntly.
For the first time I met him he.. smirked. Which caused my heart to stupidly beat fast.
"Well this stranger just saved you and your baby's life, brought you to the hospital, paid your bills and is offering you a ride plus..I am not really into pregnant women." I twitched my eye irritated.
"You were the one who said I don't have to owe you anything" I muttered which caused him to smile... again
If that was his way to reassure me I wasn't completely convinced but decided anyway to enter his car hoping he wasn't a bad man.
'I already have enough of those kind of men but who knows maybe this guy could be different..as if!' I thought bitterly.
Men were all the same to in my eyes..
