The Cave

Stalactites hung from the ceiling and I felt like I was being watched. The cave was pitch black and the air felt heavy making it harder to breathe. I could only think one thing, "I'm scared." I wished I was back at home under my blankets far away from any scary dark caves. But I wasn't. I hadn't run into any monsters yet, when I did eventually run into one I would probably piss myself and run away, but we'll see.

I clutched the torch in my hand and tread carefully along the uneven ground. I stepped on something on the ground and heard a crunch beneath my foot, "what the hell?" I used the torch to see what it was, "AAAAHHHHH! THAT IS F*CKING NASTY!" I had stepped on a human skull. As I walked I continued to find more skeletons of fallen adventurers. I tried my best not to step on any more bones.

I had been walking for at least twenty minutes. I knew I had to be close to the dungeon. I would have used my knowledge of the game to find my way quicker but this dungeon seemed to not have any information on it. I approached a cavern and immediately felt something touch me, "AHHH WHAT THE F-. GET OFF." I jumped up and down and rolled on the ground then tore my clothes off. I Had run face-first into spider webbing. I hated nothing more in this world than spiders. They were disgusting. The way hair covered their bodies, the giant fangs sticking out of their faces, all grossed me out more than anything.

After grabbing all over my body to make sure there were no spiders, I promptly turned to leave. As soon as I did, I walked face-first into some kind of barrier, bumping my forehead, "Owww," I said rubbing my head. 'You have entered the boss room. You may not leave until the boss is defeated' read the window in front of me. "You gotta be sh*tting me." Two big ass spiders the size of dogs emerged from a crevice in the wall. "You've GOT to be sh*tting me." If this were a normal situation I would run away as far as possible and never come back, but this was NOT a normal situation.

I waved my torch around and screamed like an idiot to scare the spiders but they kept coming. The spiders had a bar above their heads displaying their level and hit-points, they said, 'level 10' and '5000 HP'. "LEVEL 10! THAT'S WAY TOO HIGH!" I panicked and drew my sword as fast as possible. I threw down my torch and gripped the sword with both shaking hands. "oh, God, oh, God, oh, God... Okay, I can do this... I can definitely-," one of the spiders leaped straight at my face, fangs bearing. "I CAN DEFINITELY NOT DO THIS!," I squeezed my eyes shut and swung my sword. I felt my blade slash through something and heard a 'SCREEECH'. I peered through my eyes and saw a half of a still twitching spider at my feet with tons of brown blood spilling out. "HAHA YES! THAT IS WHAT YOU GET FOR MESSING WITH THE KING, B*TCH." As I was gloating over the dead spider, distracted, the second one snuck up next to me and sunk its fangs into my leg, "AAAAHHHHWIDBDJSK, SON OF A B*TCH, MOTHER F*CKING, GODDAMMIT THAT HURTS," I saw the spider try to retreat into the cave, "WHERE DO THINK YOU'RE GOING YOU BASTARD." I pulled my wand from my side and cast a curse spell on the fleeing spider. The spider's legs twisted and dropped from its body, it's organs burst from its abdomen and hit me in the face, covering me in brown spider guts. "Yuck," I said, spitting out a mouthful of brown blood. A small message that said, "+250 XP" appeared on the right side of my view; I must get XP for every monster I kill.

I hesitantly glanced down at my leg where the spider had bitten me; it was purple. The puncture holes were dark red with blood slowly trickling out and my skin was swollen. My entire leg was blue and purple from the venom. "Ah, sh*t.

User command/ store," I say. An Item screen immediately came into view; I had learned a few tricks from the guide that was planted in my memory. I chose an antidote that was 25,000 gold, luckily, Zoe bought a few hundred thousand extra gold. I confirmed my purchase and prayed that Zoe wouldn't notice the missing coins. The vile instantly appeared in my hand. I pulled off the cap and downed the green liquid. I gagged on the taste but swallowed. My leg immediately started reshaping to its original form. I screamed in pain but it instantly felt better afterward. I picked up my torch and continued my venture into the web filled cave.

I had killed about five spiders by the time I arrived at the boss. I had only used my sword so far, besides the second spider I killed, and I was getting better. But I was not prepared for the immense size of the boss spider. It was the length of a bus. It sat nestled in an opening through a tunnel of webs. I froze when I stepped in front of it. I thought it was asleep since it didn't move an inch, but all eight of its black eyes were wide open. "Do spiders even have eyelids?" I thought to myself. I raised my arm and waved, but the spider didn't stir. "Hm, must be asleep." I slowly walked towards the creature, making sure not to make any noise. I got in arms reach to the spider, I got closer and closer until... "here we go I can do this, this will definitely not fail," I motivated myself and jumped straight onto the spiders head.

"SCREEEE!" The spider awoke and spun in circles trying to fling me from its head. I held on for dear life to the prickly hair on its body to keep myself from falling. I grabbed my sword from its sheath and stabbed into the side of the enormous spider. It reared and decided to run from its nest with me still on its head. It ran past the tunnels of webs and past the smaller spiders I had killed. It ran full speed and "WHAM!," the spider ran straight into the invisible barrier that was blocking my escape. It stiffened from the full speed impact and collapsed onto the floor, unconscious. "HAHAHAHAH, I AM A GENIUS! I KNEW IT WOULD WORK. KING ELIAS REIGNS SUPREME AMONG ALL CREATURES." I celebrated on top of the spider's head after stabbing into it again with my sword. '+3000 XP. LEVEL UP'. I got much more XP from the boss.

On the way back from my mighty feats I heard a rumbling from behind me, "Huh? What is that sound," it sounded like a wave crashing against a rock. As the sound came closer I pulled my wand out and cast a spell "ILLUMINATE!" A bright light shot out of my wand into a wall of swirling spiders. Thousands of spiders all rushing through the cave came straight towards me, "F*CK!" I turned and sprinted towards the light at the end of the cave.
