The hallway was filled with pictures, many of them being I'm guessing family members. Many of the frames were a shiny silver with what seemed like glitter lining the rim. The walls were a dark grey almost black with white swirls and eddies flowing down them.
As they walk down the hall their shoes make light tapping sounds echoing around the otherwise empty hallway. Demi is starting to get very nervous as they walk through a door at the end of the hall leading into the living quarters she assumed. The room was very spacious with a comforting glow. In the middle of the room was a crimson red couch facing a large flat screen tv that sat on the mantle of a fake fireplace. Not too far from the couch was a short table that held a glass container full to the brim with decorative beads. Veronica motioned for me to continue following her as she passed through the room to an archway to the right of us.
Demi follows close behind as she is led into the vestibule of the building to await the arrival of the master. There isn't much to look at here but for an umbrella stand with blue and black umbrellas situated so that they are right in front of each other. The door is a dark oak wood with two tinted windows covering the upper half of the door.
"Please stand beside me, Miss, the master should be here any minute now" Veronica announced as she pulled Demi to her side and bows her head waiting for the arrival of said master.
We didn't wait much longer before we heard the sounds of tires outside and the closing of car doors. Footsteps advance and the door slowly opens revealing a skyscraper of a man, he seems to be around seven foot at least. He has a very charming and attractive demeanour about him. He looked as if he were a god with features that looked like they were chiseled from stone.
"Good afternoon master Stephan, I hope your work went wonderfully" Veronica says with a bow never looking up from the floor.
"Veronica" Stephan says with a nod " work went according to plan as it always does. Please have someone bring my bags from the car please and make sure that none of them are dropped."
"Of course master Stephan, right away" she bows again and leaves the vestibule quickly.
After Veronica leaves Stephan looks at me up and down curiously as if trying to figure out why I was there in the first place. "What is your name? And how are you feeling"
"M-my name is Demi, please to meet you" Demi says with a curtsy "I feel quite alright thank you"
He looks at her again this time giving an approving nod and proceeds to walk through the arch way into the living quarters. He looks back giving Demi a look that tells her to follow him.
Demi hesitates but follows after him, wondering what was to come next for her. She still had no idea why she was here and what happened the night before. As she steps through the archway Stephan motions for her to take a seat on the couch while he stands in front of her.
"What were you doing out so late last night?" He asks with a concerned look "you could have been killed"
Demi is now even more confused than she was before. Killed??? I could have been killed?? She panics in her head slightly trying not to show it on her face what the hell happened?
"I really don't remember what happened last night or anything to tell you the truth, all I know is I woke up in your bed with my name and a feeling of calm" she replies softly "I don't even know where I came from or if I came from anywhere. Its like I don't exist before I woke up today" she tries her best to think of the past but it's completely blank
"I see" he strokes his hand on his chin and looks over her shoulder "well until someone starts looking for you, you may stay here. I will have a bedroom prepared for you and you and Veronica may go shopping later after dinner."
"Thank you Sir" Demi nods her head in thanks as he turns to walk away
"Do call me Stephan, you are not a servant, after all, you are my guest." He winks and exits the room leaving Demi alone to think about what she is to do next.
"Well shit" she mutters aloud to herself "I'm quite sure I have just fallen in love"
