No Identity

"When did you get in here?"

"Yeah, when did you get in here? Are you a fcking spirit or something?"

"No dude I just...."

And the topic successfully diverted and they soon forgot what they were talking about in the first place as they happily chatted.

Meanwhile, a couple of hours later at the side of Shin Ah...

The doctors found out that she's a few weeks pregnant. Thankfully, the fetus is fine so there's nothing really serious to worry about.

But what made them anxious is that the patient slipped into coma. Though the doctors can drip Shin Ah, without proper care and nutrients to support the baby, then they're afraid that the fetus can't make it out.

The fetus' fate now depends on the body and willpower of Shin Ah.

Of course it's not that impossible for the fetus to live even though the mother is in a coma. But because they're in a small city, the equipments they have is lacking compared to what the big hospitals could offer.

So for a greater chance that the fetus can make it out, they need to send Shin Ah to a bigger hospital.

However, the problem lies on who will pay the bills.

A police officer came in to the hospital and contacted the doctor responsible for Shin Ah.

"I don't know but we can't find any traces of her. Neither her name, background, identity–it's all blank. We can't find any match of her fingerprint in our data. And we've search for any illegal immigrants, there's nothing."

Then the officer added without thinking, "Gosh, now thinking about it makes me shiver. Look! I'm having a goosebumps right now!"

The doctor thinks for a moment before saying, "How about widening your search into international level. Uhh you know–something like that?"

"I wish we could but we don't have an authority to do that."

The officer sighed regretfully. Holding onto her cap, she nods her head reservedly to the doctor and bids goodbye.

"Then what will we do right now?"

One of the doctors asked.

"Save your worries to yourself. Haven't you know that there's a facility that can take the patients who can't pay. And I heard it's supported by the investors."

"Nothing to worry my ass! That's what I'm worrying about right now you know? The facility is full and the they can't take patients anymore."

"Ohh that's a problem indeed."

The doctor who's responsible for Shin Ah sighed.

"We can send her in a neighboring hospital right?"

"I don't think so..."

"Let's just contact the guy who sent her in."

"What? Are you mad? That man clearly clarified that he doesn't know her so how could he help her."

Another doctor agreed and said, "Anyway, it's not our problem. Why are we stressing ourselves with it. Are we that dumb? Haha."

"Yeah I know it's not our problem but I feel so sorry for the baby and the mother."

"Hey what are you guys gossiping about?! Are you that free? How about I'll increase your workload huh?"

One of the senior doctor chastised them when he saw them lazing around.

The gossipmongers scattered around.

The senior doctor looks at door of Shin Ah's room.

"Sigh. What a pitiful child."

Undecided, he reaches for his phone but soon changed his mind and quickly puts it back in his pocket.

Though in the end, he dialed a number.

"Hi, uhh I have a favor to ask of you. Can you take a patient?.... Yeah, I know that you've resigned but you're the only one I could think of right now.... It doesn't matter, you still have some equipments in your home right? It's doable as long as she live."

"Why though? Why do you want to save some stranger?"

"S-she," the senior doctor inhaled deeply. Calming his seemingly unease nerves he replied to the man he's talking in the phone.

"She looks like someone I know."

A moment of silence passed by before the man answered from the phone, "Okay but aside from owing me a favor, please help me find a way to go back."

The senior doctor sighed in relief, "Thanks Lavian! I'll owe you a favor....Okay, bye!"
