Lil Ball of Lights

She listlessly sat down and hugs her arms close to her chest and huddled up her legs. She let her curled body fall down limply as she slowly close her eyes.

And her voice echoes and lingered throughout the dark chasm.

After a short time of deafening silence, a sudden light popped up and circled around the curled up body of Shin Ah.

Feeling like there's someone wrong, she sharply opened up her eyes and surveyed her surroundings. She was caught off guard when she saw a ball of light. Then it split up into two. And hobbly jump around her, suspended in the air.

Mouth wide open, she stared at it unbelievably and mumbled incoherently, "A l-light..."

When the ball of lights heard her voice, as if injected with a stimulant, it danced around impatiently. Like happily greeting her.

With her right palm on her mouth she said, "Oh wow." Then she laughed crazily a second later and a moment after, a relieved smile slowly imprinted to her lips.

"Glad I'm not alone now."

She primly sat down and dusted off the non-existent dusts on her clothes and said chirpily, "Hi! You're a light. Wow. That's—nice."

Don't know if the ball of lights heard her right or even understand what she's saying but they just jump around and turned into a pastel pink color.

"Aww." Shin Ah cooed, cutely amazed by it.

As she caress the other ball of light she asked, "Where'd you came from baby cuties?"

Think about it, is she that lonely that she's hallucinating right now? Is she that desperate that her hibernating brain powered up?

Sometime later, she stood up and walk again while the little ball of lights followed her.

But what she didn't know that someone is spying at her.

And that someone smirked before leaving a subtle voice behind.

"A broken soul huh?"

"Big bro! I'm back!"

"Mhmm."

Lavian appeared at the doorway

"What is it that you wanted to tell me?"

Lavina asked as she untied the shoe laces of her shoes, put it in the shoe rack.

"Change your clothes first."

"And shower." He answered her as he pinched his nose. "You stink."

He walked away.

"Brother! You're such a–" Then she growled in frustration and exasperation.

"Don't you know that aside from mentioning age, it's a taboo to say that in front of the girls?"

She then humped and stumped her way to her room.

"And that's why you never had a girlfriend!"

She closed the door.

He shook his head and untied the ribbon of his apron behind his back.

"Yeah right. I'm too handsome that the girls were scared away by my masculinity."

He snorted.

A while later, a dressed up and freshly showered Laviana sat on a chair on the living room. Drying her hair with a towel.

"Confess now big bro. What crimes had you done now huh?"

Lavian expressionlessly rolled his eyes and pulled a chair on the opposite side.

"We have a new member now."

"What a new member?" She asked distractedly, sniffing.

"Bro, you cooked dinner? Why haven't you put it in the table?"

"What's the dinner? What did you cook???"

The gluttonous one asked with a hungry look on her face.

Giving up, Lavian stood up to pick the pepping hot dishes.

"Go and prepare the utensils."

"Okay big bro!"

With an indescribable expression on his face, he looked at the busy Laviana.

'Nothings gonna beat up if food is ever mentioned. Tsk.'

They arranged the table and prayed for blessings.

When they're done, Laviana asked again what he meant by having a new member.

"The literal one."

"Oh, you impregnated a girl? Wow, never new you were this wild brother. So that's why there's a new member."

She nod her little black haired head understandingly as she continued to pick at another side dishes to eat.

"No dummy. I'm not that bastard okay."

Then he put aside his spoon and fork.

"We have another tenant patient."

"Patient? Is she sick? Where had you find her?" She asked with a questioning gaze.

"It's a long story. Anyway I'll tell you later if you're free. You can visit her in the vacant room."

"Mhmm." Still absorb by her own thoughts of eating this and that she replied to him.

"How's your work?" He asked offhandedly.

"Now that you mention that, I remember that we need to go to the other city."

She sighed hopelessly as she waved both of her hands with a spoon and fork in it.

"Ughh, I am so stressed that my skin became so dry and unhealthy."

"That's because you're ugly in the first place."

"If I'm ugly then your ugly too. Haven't you forgot that were siblings? Duh."

"Tch."

They continued to chat until they finished eating their dinner.
