I definitely did not hear wrong. I had just hit the jackpot! With this technique I won't have to worry about my magic cultivation falling behind others, not that that was ever the case.
I had also broken through two realms at once, wasn't this technique too overpowered? Shouldn't this technique belong to the main character or something? I feel the plot armor is strong with this one.
Moving on, I immediately opened up the shop.

I decided to hold off the growth potion and assimilate the technique over the weekend when I had a lot more time.
I went back to dual cultivating but I had the peculiar feeling that someone was watching me.

What's this? No one should be out around this time since it was literally 3 in the morning.
I looked at the dark figure from a tree a couple miles away.
I used a level 3 spell, Heightened Senses and took a quick glance at what he was doing.
Dark black hair, it was quite a rare color. His two eyes were closed, with a ball of fire on his left hand.
Was he cultivating? Strange, he seemed to be training his Fire manifestation yet he was only using one hand to do it instead of two. He was sitting in a lotus pose and had both arms resting on his lap with the palms facing upwards. Was I missing something? That was a rather unorthodox way of cultivating.
I felt something was definitely suspicious about this kid. Not once in my life had I even heard nor seen of this method of cultivation. I stood and watched the kid for a while until a noticeable thing occurred. Two auras burst forth from the kid. Any normal magician would not be able to tell but I was once the greatest wizard so I was extremely sensitive to the movement of magic particles.
I covertly went over to the nearest tree behind the kid and examined the particles he emitted.
As I had expected, the magic particles were of low quality so he must have broken through. When someone makes a qualitative breakthrough, the body subconsciously refines the mana and expels the impure magic particles.
If I wasn't mistaken, he had broken through two realms at once. This in and of itself was something praiseworthy. People who could do this were only found in 1 of 10 billion geniuses.
'Just who was this kid.'
The kid opened his eyes momentarily with a bit of a joyful expression then went back to cultivating. Now that I was closer, I could see it better. In his right hand was a ball of darkness.
What the h*ll. Fire on the left and darkness on the right? He was cultivating two manifestations at once? This was crazy. In my entire life, I had never seen anyone doing this before. I contemplated a bit longer and recalled something from a book I had read a long time ago.
Wasn't this the Dual Cultivation method? I thought that was only a hoax made by the Church of Arcanus. Even if it did exist, that Church had already been abolished by the Holy Church so there should be no heritage either. If that's the case, how did this kid figure it out without any knowledge.
I couldn't believe my eyes so I used soul examine.

Who the h*ll is this kid's backer? To be able to protect some parts of the status from Soul Examine is only something a god can do. Is this kid really a descendant of the Magic God Arcanus? Even his Willpower is of an astronomical value.

I suddenly heard a voice from nowhere. Did this kid know I was watching him? Sh*t, I better run.
I started jumping from tree to tree until I had reached the borders of the campus. Only then, I calmed down. I thought over what just happened and came to a decision. If I wanted to defeat the Demon God, I would need strong allies.
'Yes, that kid, Daniel. I will bring him over to my side.'
